Having lived in the area for many years, I followed the restaurant from their location on Auburn Ave (many years ago) to the current location. I introduced many of my friends to the restaurant and counted on getting great take out. The pollo con mole is my favorite. Not only is mole sauce hard to find in the area, but theirs is great. Came to town to visit some friends and we decided to celebrate taco Tuesday with Mexican food and margaritas. La Rosa Blanca exceeded all expectations. Firstly, the margaritas are huge and delicious, with a variety of flavors to choose from. Our orders included midori, mango, watermelon, and coconut/pineapple. And the food was just as impressive. I devoured my enchiladas, and even got tastes of their al pastor nachos and cochinita pibil tacos. The nachos were next level with this red sauce, resembling enchilada sauce, drizzled all over. My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time last week during lunch and it was PHENOMENAL. The chips were warm and the salsa was great. Our dishes tasted AMAZING and the service staff were so nice! We came back this week for dinner and the staff were still great but I admit the food was not quite as amazing as the first time. This is a hard one for me to review. If I could give 3.5 stars I would but I had to take the overall experience into consideration when deciding whether to make it 3 or 4 stars. First, the chips weren't homemade. The rice was very lackluster, not flavorful and slightly undercooked. The beans were "pretty good". The prawn taco; however, was absolutely amazing. Today, I needed to replace 4 of my tires. Tragedy because those can be pricey. Thankfully I found great tires for $300 less than what was recommended to me. Anyway, I didn't want to wait at the tire shop so I decided to walk down the street and as i was walking, there was a small restaurant at the corner of the street that caught my eye. As I sat down I was given a menu and layer chips and salsa. The menu was separated from lunch specials, appetizers, and protein and what kind of dish you could have with that protein. I ordered the lunch special which is Available Monday - Friday from 11 am - 3 pm. I ordered the chicken chimichanga. It came out fried. With sour cream, guacamole and Spanish rice. I asked for their spicy salsa on the side. The chips were great and wasn't too oily. The house salsa was not spicy and had a really good flavor to it. Slightly sweet with chunks of tomato. The spicy salsa was spicy but lacked in flavor. I enjoyed mixing the two salsas together. The highlight of my lunch was the fried chimichanga, it was crispy on the outside and really flavorful on the inside. It was really good and I highly recommend it. Although this place offered traditional Mexican food and none of the current popular dishes (Birria) it was still really good and definitely worth the try. Service and food was great. Tried this place for the first time today and have nothing but good things to say! Upon entering we were greeted and seated promptly. The restaurant is nicely decorated and everything was nice and clean. The chips and salsa were very good, chips were served warm. We ordered the combination plate with a Beef Taco, Cheese Enchilada, Rice and Beans and it did not disappoint. Everything was delicious, fresh and hot! 5/19/2023 at 7:30PM. My first experience at this restaurant. It was a take out order. Ambience seemed ok. I'm a huge Chile relleno fan. Do not order one at this restaurant. I ordered a Chile relleno as part of a combo meal and was deeply disappointed It was most likely the worst Chile relleno I have ever had and I've eaten a lot of them.! It was the size of a jalapeño, no cheese inside, soggy, and awful. The rest of the combo was ok. The restaurant was recommend to me by a friend and seemed quite busy when I picked up my order. Perhaps it was a bad night or close to closing--I'm not likely to try them again. read more

The only reason I'm rating this place 2 stars is the lack of vegan options. Other reviews say that they have options but there really is 1. Veggie burrito with whole beans, no dairy, no rice (cooked with pork) and no sauce. If I had to do it again I'd add guacamole and the server gave us a pro tip to add the Chile rellano sauce on the side as that is vegan. This is a neighborhood favorite and we heard multiple people say how much they love this place too so I wish they just had more options and were more aware of what items don't have animal ingredients or are cooked in them. The burrito was also $15, it was giant but seemed really pricey for a veggie burrito. Staff was friendly and they do have a few tables outside which is nice. They're salsa is delish! read more
