My husband and I came here for just a appetizer. We are from an area in California where Mexican food reigns over all other types of food. I was excited to try this place but it doesn't seem like the Mexican food quality I'm use to. Although what we had didn't sample barely anything the restaurant had to offer and what we had was good, I'm not sure if I'll go back. For their tacos they only offer ground beef, shredded beef, and shredded chicken; I'm use to slices carne asada and grilled chicken. Also didn't see an option between red sauce or green. The manager was super friendly and we enjoyed that they make the guacamole right in front of you! read more

This is the best Mexican food in town. They make everything from scratch, delivering hot tortilla chips with 3 kinds of salsa to your table as soon as you sit down. They also are super generous with restocking your chips if the table goes through them all. The entrees are reasonably priced, with huge portions and high quality. I usually get the fajitas, but the combination plates and burritos are probably the best deal. The place is very comfortable too, with friendly service. I don't know why they don't have more business. read more

Delicious. Free beans...carne asada plate was on point...they made us some shrimps wrapped in bacon (not on menu)...but definitely magical.

Always heard really great things about this place and was excited to try it out. Ordered 2 pollo a la crema with flour tortillas. Ordered to go. They told us it would be about 15 minutes. We arrived right at 15 minutes, paid, grabbed our food and drove home. It smelled amazing the whole way home - a little over 1 mile. My mouth was watering. We went in and immediately sat down to start devouring our meal. I opened my container and was immediately disappointed. The portion size of the pollo was what I would expect in a kids meal. There was more refried beans and rice than there was of the main entree. Then opening up the tortillas - we realized we had been given one flour and one corn. I thought, oh well, maybe they were busy. I through some rice and beans on the flour tortilla and added 3/4 of the tiny amount of chicken. Took a bite. Cold. Literally less than 10 minutes after picking up our order, it was cold. I was so disappointed. The pollo a la crema did not live up to the hype I had heard about it. Such a sad day for me. I would say, because of the times we have been having and the way our society is changing during this covid19 pandemic, I would be willing to try this place one more time. But probably not until after things start getting back to somewhat normal and I can dine in the restaurant. Sorry! If I return, I will update with that experience! read more

We have been coming here for a couple of months and love the food. They make the guacamole right at your table and all of the food has been excellent. We also love their salsa and the customer service has been very attentive. Today I ordered a veggie taco salad and it had a ton of veggies. This is definitely a place to try if you love mexican food. This place is unique. read more

I read some of the other reviews. I did not get any kind of beans or three different sauces. Actually charged me for beans for my chips. Anything like that. Once again just the worst Mexican place I've ever been to. Another review that I read, mentioned that they were surprised that they are not much busier there? The reason for that is they just do not really supply the best food for a reasonable price. $1 for a handful of lettuce? On top of that attitude about it. Do yourself a favor and drive three quarters of a mile down the road and go to Rigoberto's. read more

Best Mexican in town. Salsa and chips are amazing! Every dish we've had is fresh and delicious!

Best mexican food i have had in albany. The beef enchilada made with beef chunks. Best chile rellano ever made with fresh poblanos. Crispy tasty tortilla chips they make here every day. The salsas are delicious. Beautiful decor. Taco tuesday are $1.00. read more

La Roca - Mexican Near Me - Albany, Oregon

I have not yet found a great Mexican restaurant in all my Oregon travels. This place is OK. I love fajitas and am always looking for a decent dish. These were ok. The 3 of us all left full but not blown away by any of our food. No real complaints. Just OK. Clean. Nice staff. Attentive. read more

Everything my husband and I got was so good. The restaurant was very clean. Our waiter Gabe was very nice and helpful.

Good chips and salsa to start. Had the La Roca Burrito which was good, but the chicken and chorizo was over cooked (or old). Still tasty though as it's smothered in a cheese sauce. Husband says asado burrito was good. Will be back again! read more

Outstanding in every way The salsa was delicious with just the amount of heat. Meals were great service was again terrific. Cute place and very clean. Best we've found in Lebanon/Albany area. read more

The food was so good. I split the steak fijitas with a friend for lunch. We ate all of it...it was definitely delicious. The colorful atmosphere was awesome and just makes you happy to be in the room. :) The service was wonderful. We will be back. read more

Very nice clean place. The service was great and the food VERY good. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Albany.

Excellent food and you will be treated like family! Table side guacamole is the best! Not sure how they get their beer as cold as they do. Have had enchiladas, burritos of all varieties and never once have I had a bad meal! Great job guys!! read more

Excellent Food. Excellent Service. We had 5 people stop by and ask how the meal was. I had the super burrito and it was so good; they give you a LOT of food, so go hungry! read more

This place is me and my girlfriend's favorite Mexican restaurant in A-town, food is always great and the people working there are more friendly than most places. We just tried their new outdoor seating area they added, it was nice and the tables were spaced out so you don't feel cramped whatsoever. I love eating there read more

Food was really good. The workers were super friendly and they had really good service. Definitely will be coming back.

I got the steak fajitas and there was not a hint of flavor, the burrito my boyfriend got was cold and gross. Worst Mexican food ive had

In my opinion this is the best Mexican food in Albany. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is very good. I get the steak molcajete and it's the best around (I've tried many different restaurants). I have nothing but good to say about this place. Enjoy every meal and am never afraid to take guests as I know they will enjoy the food as well. read more

First time visiting here at LaRoca and I will definitely be back. Food was delicious and service was great. Can't believe I haven't been here before. Definitely will recommend it to all my friends. Thank you for great food and service. read more

Fair to terrible. Chicken fajitas were tasteless. Lots of onions. Dry corn tortillas. Greasy chips. Okay salsa. Drove from salem for this place. 2nd visit. Last visit. Taco bell is way better and cheaper! read more

This location opened up two weeks ago and all the others have pretty good reviews so my fiancee and I had to give it a try. We were the only ones in there at 8pm, but that just means better service right? I had three tacos that I thought were overpriced for $2.50 a piece. These were your standard taco truck/ meat market taco so I was surprised at the price. Anyway, the al pastor and chorizo ones were quite good. The carne asada, meh. Nothing really stood out at us on the menu and refilling the water took some time. Also, the salsa is of the roasted variety that gives you a slight charred taste. Some people like this, however I'm not a big fan. What is amazing though is their salsa verde. I got a big container to go. It was tasty, creamy, and just the perfect amount of picante. If anything, I'll be back to get the salsa verde. The people were quite nice just like at any other Mexican restaurant, and I will be back to try other menu items to update my review. read more

Enjoyed this restaurant very much. The La Roca platter is the best. Excellent service.

This is by far our favorite Mexican place! We go here all the time! The staff is very friendly! We always ask for the green salsa and if they're out the server goes out of his way to get some made for us! We will always recommend this place! It's great!!! read more

YUM YUM YUM !! Outstanding food (best chile relleno in a long time), great service, colorful and clean interior. Husband had camerone with lots of veggies. Driving north so couldn't get a margarita. Next time. read more

My husband and I are regulars and love La Roca. The food is authentic like my Grandma used to make. Servings are huge. My husband orders margaritas and they are super large. The beer is frosty ice cold. Everything is so fresh and flavorful. La Roca has the best Mexican food around and is definitely our go to spot. Clean and attentive staff. We never have to wait long for drinks or food. read more

Nicest Mexican lunch in town. Chimmy was lightly browned and tasty. Chips, salsa and everything else was top notch at very reasonable price.

This place was once my comfort food, I've been going there for over four years, probably about 1-2 times/month. Recently, the quality has gone seriously downhill. Several takeout orders have been messed up, I have had several orders where the food was sub par (hard, overcooked, dry and flavorless chicken, for example) and they have changed their menu to charge more for guacamole and sour cream in a vegetarian burrito (greedy). I'm done going here. read more

Excellent food. Fajita came in a reasonable portion with vegetables cooked to crisp perfection. Pleasant, clean environment and friendly, attentive service. read more

After reading the amazing reviews, I was hoping for authentic mexixan food. The salsa was perfect and our kids loved the beans they came with the chips. I ordered the asada burrito. It was lacking flavor, but was huge! It wasn't bad just nothing exciting. I may be bias after spending the last year in California with extremely authentic mexican. My husband on the other hand ordered the asada tocos and a chimichanga all of which he said was very good. The place itself was beautiful with lots to look at and the bathrooms were very clean. The service was good with friendly staff. If we weren't just passing through, i would come here again and order the tacos. read more

I have been looking for a really good sit down Mexican restaurant in the area and this one is it! It was really clean, the food tasted fresh, and they offered 3 things to dip hot tortilla chips in. They had a nice big flat screen playing the game, and our server was prompt and friendly. My wife and I both had enchiladas; the ingredients seemed to be quality and tasted excellent. We both had drinks and the prices were very reasonable. Give this place a try. read more

My wife and I regularly eat here. The food is fantastic and the owners are friendly and professional. I would, and have, recommended this restaurant to several friends and family members without hesitation. read more

So sad...on our quest to find decent Mexican food in the Albany area...again, this is not the place for that. The salsa is not even so-so. The Pork Chili Verde is decent but, nothing else was that good. read more
