Just had our wedding here last month and it was more than what we expected. Going back 10 month ago, when we toured LA River Studios, we fell in love with the place! We knew right then and there that our hunt for wedding venue is over. We love the rustic feel yet a little modern and different vibe of the place. Debra was our venue assistant, she's been very patient answering all our email and allowing us to come visit the venue to show it to our family and vendors. She was very flexible and was able to accommodate all our inquiries and requests. She was easy to communicate with. Then comes the day of the wedding, as soon as I walked in, I was in an awe on how beautiful the place is. I fell in love with the venue more! The lighting and decors made the place 100x better. I knew Vox productions are know in the industry for the quality sound system and lighting, but everything beyond what me and my husband had imagined. Asides from the decor, the venue crew had been really amazing to us. Debra and Mike attended to our needs that night and it was so much fun working with them. Attended the AHS Apocalypse party here. It was a great space that was completely transformed for their tv show! Environment: open space that was converted to an interactive dance/runway show for AHS Apocalypse party. It was fantastic. Verdict: great use of space. Easy location to get to from DTLA on a Friday night. The entire event was great! read more

Gorgeous venue. I plan on coming here weekly now but after my first visit I'm impressed by this unsuspecting gem. Only negative would be the surrounding space that includes underdeveloped, not particularly pleasant land that feels a bit creepy and lack of permitted parking but I'll double check parking again next week. read more

Came in for an event sponsored by Tsingtao one weekend and was pretty impressed by the space. The main room is sizable enough for a stage, multiple small tables, some drink/food stations, and an instant picture spot. In addition to the main area, there's a smaller room that can fit a ping-pong table, an upstairs area with a bar, and a decently sized outdoor area. For the Tsingtao event, there were 5 food trucks as well as a drink station and some seating areas in the outdoor space. LA River Studios is definitely a great event space if you're looking for one in the area. Can't speak anything to the cost, but as an eventgoer, was fairly impressed. This is a unique, cool small-mid size event venue! It's versatile and can be used for anything you imagine. There is a main room + entrance, and two other smaller rooms. The outdoor area is very small however. There is also no parking lot available for your event so attendees might have to ride share or find street parking. LA River Studios had that typical hip LA vibe combined with a rustic/antique feel - I like it! read more

LA River Studios was the very first venue we toured for our wedding, and we knew right away this is where we wanted to have our wedding. Our wedding budget was very small in comparison to most weddings in Southern California, so we needed a space where we could have both our wedding ceremony and reception. And LA River Studios provided just that. At first, we thought the price was a little steep for our budget, but Debra was able to work with us to get the most for our money. (She is a God-sent!) There were a few hiccups the week before our wedding, due to city coding, but we were compensated for the inconvenience. Debra stayed in constant communication with us, and was great at working with our vendors/family members to get the space ready for us. Our guests are still telling us about how beautiful and unique our wedding was. They were a little skeptical from the exterior, but could not believe the beauty of the space once they were inside. One thing that was a bit of a headache was the parking. We paid to rent the FedEx parking lot across the street. But when our family and guests tried to park there, FedEx employees told them they would be towed if they parked there. So they had to find parking elsewhere-which isn't easy in the area. Other than that, our day went by smoothly and having the staff there made the end of the night go as easily as possible. We will definitely be coming back to LA River Studios for our big events. And a lot of our guests have showed interest in using the space read more

This place is so awesome! So much character. As a photo booth vendor having been to lots of venues indoors/outdoors you name it, this venue layout really impressed me. *plenty of parking across the street at the FedEx parking lot so valet for a party of about 150-250people or about 60-100 cars would require about 4 to 6 runners max, any more than that is a waste. typical cost is about $30 per hour, per runner. or guest can just walk across the street it's really not far at all. saw plenty of nice ladies in heels make the half block walk. *Bathrooms. there are 4 in total gender neutral separate rooms and 2 communally sinks. very nice modern, and clean. Charity event I worked had about 300+ people and bathrooms wait time was never an issue even with all (the drinking as well). *1 upstairs area which was really great, definitely cool spot to hang out and see everyone down below. *one outdoor area which was great to if your having a party sometimes you just need a little fresh air. *Easy ACCESS for your vendors and simply a fantastic place. *100% worth checking out if your having a wedding, prom or special event! read more

If you're looking to hold an event, look no further. We scoped out this venue early on in our wedding search and after 6 months of scouting we realized this was the best price and best look for our big day. Kimberly and all of the other staff were readily available to answer all of our hundreds of questions. They helped us price out any add ons we were interested in and even searched for the perfect outdoor draping for us. We never once felt like they were misleading us or trying to overcharge like some of the other vendors we talked to. One of the many things we loved about LARS was that this is a rental company, which means instead of bringing in everything from outside vendors, they could supply the same resources for a cheaper price since it was in-house. You can even bring in your own booze and use outside vendors such as food trucks and other party supplies. LARS just wants your party to be one for the books and they're willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that you're happy. They were available for multiple walk-throughs whether it was with a DJ or event planner or just us two scheming up where things will go. They had great ideas and helped us come up with a scotch tasting area in the airstream that they included in our pricing. I have to say that was a popular area for guests all night long. You won't regret having your wedding or any other event here because they will make sure it runs seamlessly. We are also so grateful for the thank you card they gave us with this special gift to commemorate our love (see last attached photo). This venue is hands down one of the greatest in the area, everything was exactly as it was presented to us from the very start of our site visit. Parking was easy the venue manager made all the proper arrangements for myself and our guests. We had food trucks cater our food services but the management team made some awesome recommendations for us. We were so pleased with the lighting and audio the venue has installed for clients to take advantage of if needed. Great weather for our out door experience in the patio and very pleased to hear they could kick on the AC in the building for us. Once the party and dancing started it was the move to make and cool down the place! Looking forward to coming back again for my 40th birthday party! read more

We held our annual fundraiser at LA River Studios and had a wonderful event. Debra is incredible and she made the entire process extremely easy for us! The event space allows for a variety of events and it is extremely well taken care of. LA River Studios has relationships with the adjacent businesses so none of our guests had any issues with parking. We look forward to hosting an event there again! read more

Attended a wedding here recently. The place has a great potential. Nice outdoor place, sections for photos, etc. There are jo parking, so you have to park on the st or the st behind. But most unfortunate was 50% of the guess ate at around 9:30 PM and some around 10 PM. The wedding coordinator keeps saying it is not her fault as there is another vendor for the food. The whole wedding is your responsibility. A lot of old people in the wedding were starving already, some needs to take meds. A lot missed most moments of the wedding coz they were lining up outside and missed the money dance, father-daughter dance, and throwing of flowers. We got our food around 9:45 PM and when we sat down and started to eat they asked everyone to go outside to see the fireworks, I stayed a little bit and the waiters were about to take our food. I had to stop them and explained to them we just got our food. Im sorry Ms wedding coordinator, everything in there is/was your responsibility. Good thing it was family otherwise we would've walked out... Imagine eating at 10 pm at a wedding reception that started at around 6. read more

Hidden GEM in North East LA! Don't let the neighborhood fool you. This place is fantastic. Extremely private both indoor and outdoors. Yes there is an out doors! And the inside space is bigger than it looks from the outside. This venue has lots of potential if you allow your creativity to flow. The layout can be used in many different ways. Attended a wedding and the place was scorching HOT and crowded!! The air conditioner was set in the high 70's to low 80's when the temp outside was I the 90's to triple digit!!! There was no manager around to complain to- I guess they knew someone would complain! read more
