We knew right then and there that our hunt for wedding venue is over. We love the rustic feel yet a little modern and different vibe of the place. Debra was our venue assistant, she's been very patient answering all our email and allowing us to come visit the venue to show it to our family and vendors. She was very flexible and was able to accommodate all our inquiries and requests. She was easy to communicate with. Then comes the day of the wedding, as soon as I walked in, I was in an awe on how beautiful the place is. I fell in love with the venue more! The lighting and decors made the place 100x better. I knew Vox productions are know in the industry for the quality sound system and lighting, but everything beyond what me and my husband had imagined. Asides from the decor, the venue crew had been really amazing to us. Debra and Mike attended to our needs that night and it was so much fun working with them. The wedding venue is located up on the 30th floor, and they provide parking across the street so your guests won't have to deal with downtown parking. The building itself has a lot of insurance requirements, but I don't think it would've been much different at other locations. The in-house team was actually very accommodating and was helpful to us during our wedding day, and even before our wedding day letting us tour the venue 3+ times before our actual event. The space itself is a blank canvas, and honestly you don't want to do much to drown out the view outside. If you have a late afternoon wedding, the sunset is just gorgeous. A smaller group even has the opportunity to go up to the helipad for pictures even if you're not using the helipad for its original purpose. I'll say after my wedding day, I noticed a lot of my guests had changed their profile picture - all to the pictures they took at the venue! The view honestly was its own attraction on our wedding day and it made the day special for us and memorable for our guests.

For instance, the ladies restrooms are outdated and small - modern event spaces have realized that realistically, women just take longer in the bathroom and have adjusted accordingly. Ladies at the AT&T center will probably be waiting in line to use the potty. There is a nice patio on the 2nd floor which is a great place for a cocktail reception. Terrific views. No smoking on the patio though (can't have everything I suppose).

The space was so cool, so intimate, full of charm, and most of all, a fair price for a wedding venue in the heart of LA. The best kept secret (or secret no more??) is definitely the speakeasy downstairs...all of our guests still cannot stop talking about it! With all that said, I would say that the only thing that really worried me about this venue was the parking. It's not a surprise that this area is extremely dense, so for some of our guests, parking was challenging. The York Manor did suggest hiring a valet service and after talking to a handful of valet service vendors - the prices were just really unreasonable for what would have still been the same parking situation. But all in all, everybody eventually found parking, everything was on time and the day was PERFECT.

Downstairs is the main room with lofty ceilings, large windows, wood floors, a kitchen, bathrooms, and a stage for a DJ or live bands. Downstairs is a speakeasy style bar and the backyard is also a nice spot for an outdoor reception. I've driven by this place numerous times thinking it was just a church. I recently saw that there was a Holiday Market Place being held here so I stopped in to do some shopping. There was a man on the front lawn making pupusas and people sitting at tables enjoying them. Inside is quite spacious and there were several vendors selling their merchandise. The tables were nicely spaced apart, so it was easy to browse. This event was pretty awesome as all people came together to experience this event. When you walked in they were handing everyone a raffle ticket, which was cool. I didn't know what the prize was at the moment but I held on to my ticket. There was artwork setup and an area where t-shirts were being made complimentary. It must have also been sponsored by the beverage company Brisk as "It's Brisk" signs and beverages were everywhere. Just past the tshirt machine there was what appeared to be a beverage machine but once you got closer it was really a door that lead to another side. I took a few steps in and the whole inside of this section was like a ginormous comic book from the ceiling to the walls to the floor. Everything! There were multiple sections that had different scenes. They had a bar area and even a section to take pictures at the Wakandan throne. I missed the 3:30p raffle calling but I was there for the very last one as it ended at 4pm. A few numbers were called (apparently those people left) and they called another number which happened to be me. The prize was a portable charger. Moving on, I made my way over to take pictures on the Wakandan throne. They had some of the attire on display that were tied to a specific African tribe, an interview with Ruth E Carter about bringing Wakanda alive in the film--film set pieces and costumes. Black Panthers Michael B Kordan made an appearance the first day. They had a DJ (although music was a little loud) and a photo back drop for photos. In our search for an indoor venue with our simple & minimal wedding vibe, HNYPT was the first venue we visited & the only venue we visited - because we loved it immediately. It has two incredible, connected spaces (one could be used for ceremony, and the other for reception) with brick wall, lovely flooring & an open canvas for whatever one's vision might be. There's a corner with exposed industrial electrical boxes that I absolutely adore - would make for a great photo op. Michael was super helpful via email leading up to our visit, during the booking process and venue visits we made. Although we ultimately were not able to host our wedding here, the venue is gorgeous & Michael was very kind through it all!

We appreciated their transparency in the contracts, guides to working with other vendors (their recommended ones and others that we wanted to bring in), clear communication, and suggestions of vendors that they have worked with prior! It's very clear that they've worked many weddings prior, there were details/questions they brought up that we never even thought to think about. The venue itself from the outside is unassuming, but once you walk in, the venue is just so stunning with all of the greenery. It allowed our colorful day-of-paper, florals, lanterns, and decor to really shine through. We are obsessed with how our photos and videos came out. We loved all of the little details the venue offered, such as the getting ready room with lighting around the mirrors, ability for indoor-outdoor space, and cool airflow in late summer/early fall. We loved that we got to personalize the background projection screen as well - we ended up playing clips of places we loved in Los Angeles. Keep in mind that with this venue you'll very likely need to also hire valet as another service for guest parking, but it's all worth it! We let our guests know what to look out for day of (big red 800 sign) and made recommendations on reviewing navigation to the site prior to wedding day as well.

I did a wedding here and they have the worst policies I have ever heard. They also sic these…read more"rules" they have AFTER money has been deposited of course none refundable. They apparently require your vendors to stay after you and clean. Clean everything mind you. They will not lift a finger for you. Even down to making you WASH AND DRY their linens. They lied. They were misleading and also charge $12,000... for what? I don t know. Absolutely do not recommend. I hope they lose their business license.
