We've had the pleasure of hosting several events at 409 Woodbury - The Creative Space through our organization, LEEAF, and every experience has been wonderful! Most recently, we hosted our Access to Capital cohort celebration, and Samera and her team went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and supported. The space itself is beautiful, welcoming, and incredibly versatile! Located in the Altadena/Pasadena area, it's perfect for community gatherings, workshops, presentations, and celebrations. There's plenty of on-site and street parking, and the multiple TV screens made it easy for us to share presentations and information about our programming. What truly makes this space special is the hospitality. Samera and her team genuinely care about the community and creating an environment where people can connect, learn, and celebrate together. We're grateful to have a space like this in the community and love supporting a local business doing such meaningful work. While we didn't end up going with this venue, we did tour it for a potential first bday venue. The space itself is nice. They have both an outdoor and indoor space and they are pretty well equipped for AV. They also have chairs and tables as part of their package. We didn't up booking this venue as we decided it would be too hot for an outdoor event in July, but this is definitely a great find in the Altadena area for anyone venue shopping! read more

We have held multiple work-related events at The Creative Space, and they all went really well. The space is open and has a central, elevated riser to present from. The AV is fantastic with 60+ inch TVs in each corner. Highly recommend for any corporate function. read more

The team was professional, guests commented on how nice the space looked, was easy to set up catering in the kitchen and on the coffee cart, loved that the furniture and A/V setup were in-house so everything felt very easy. We threw our daughter's first birthday party this past weekend using the indoor venue! We were able to host around 80 family and friends! Samera did an amazing job with communication and sending me videos of the venue just so I was able to visualize placement for the other vendors I hired for the party! We had the pleasure of hosting my daughter's baby shower at 409 Woodbury. I cannot say enough positive things about this wonderful venue. First and foremost, when you are hosting an event in August, great A/C is a must and 409 definitely has that. While the exterior may seem simple, the interior lends itself to any celebration. There is lots of natural light and lovely live plants that you can use in your setup. The furniture is all easily movable, and you can arrange it to your liking. Samera, the owner, is very easy to work with and responsive to communication. Deborah was our onsite staff member the day of our event. She went above and beyond, helping us set up, checking in (very unobtrusively) during to make sure we had all we needed, and helping breakdown afterwards. Just had my son's birthday party at 409 Woodbury and it was great! The property is spacious and guests were covered from the sun in different areas. The space was large enough for two bounce houses and a soft play for the little kids. Samera (owner) was great to work with, she responded to all my texts and phone calls. After touring several venues, we knew this was the perfect one to book! We used this event space for my daughter's first birthday party and everyone loved it. We especially loved how "homey" it felt. I really like this cozy venue! I liked it so much I had to take my maternity photos in it. It had many beautiful decoration options to choose from all I really needed to do was bring my flowers and photographer. WONDERFUL EVENT SPACE! Hosted my daughter's 1st birthday here and it was a wonderful time. We got lucky with the weather that weekend- it felt like summer on a January weekend and it was perfect for hosting up to 150 guests. It was exactly what we needed considering we had a variety of groups who were not familiar with each other, so the space provided fit what we wanted. We utilized the whole event space from front to back; main room to the outdoor area. The addition of the tents were a nice touch especially since we needed shade on that sunny warm day and the variety of many electrical outlets were around for my vendors to use. This venue space was exactly what I was looking for and thoroughly enjoyed working with the event space owner, Samera. This is a fantastic event space! I was recently planning an afternoon tea fundraiser event for the non profit organization the Junior League of Pasadena. We almost booked somewhere else that didn't look very nice and decided to do one more push looking for venues. We found 409 Woodbury and it seemed to check all the boxes. The owner Samera was incredible responsive. She worked with us, suggesting a Sunday all day rental to make it easier on us. It's very convenient that they already have a good amount of tables and chairs. We only had to rent a few things and they have a relationship with a rental place that is super close, they coordinate it, making it really easy. We felt really good about our women's organization booking with a woman-owned event space too! The space is clean, bright, and pretty. read more
