If you're a first timer make sure to note that your little table tag (looks like a drink coaster) signals whether you're FINISHED or WANT MORE STEAK.

It was also annoying for the waitress (not the gal that served us btw - a host perhaps) to give the vibe like they were doing us a favor by applying the $50 Birthday promo that THEY send via email (note, I verbally this flagged when we arrived just in case - but they didn't initially have it on our bill). My head is thinking "calm down--we ate minimally and got drinks. Don't offer it if you're going to have an attitude about adjusting the bill". It was just weird. They also didn't offer any bday dessert treat but we weren't super pressed bc we were so full. The meat was a bit overdone and all kind of tasted the same this visit. Didn't get to try the lamb chops and a few other meats, but still has a nice variety. Salad bar is top notch and consistent, although wish their black beans were plain due to all the meat. Drinks were ok--heavy pours but lower quality wine. The $29 "Wine Experience" package was worth it for my husband who likes variety of wines with his dinner depending on what he's eating. I'm sure I'll come again but it's been bumped a few notches on my Go To list.

We made reservations just in case there'd be a wait on a Friday evening, but surprisingly the restaurant wasn't busy, a shame for them, but something we were grateful for. We ordered the baba ghanoush right away because I was absolutely famished, and we were also served a generous plate of hummus with delicious homemade chips on the side. The chips were salty and tangy, which paired perfectly with the hummus. I ordered the chicken breast and luleh combo, while my partner got the filet mignon with tzatziki, and everything was incredible. It was my first time trying chicken luleh and I can confidently say I'm a fan now. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and flavorful. The rice was cooked perfectly as well. The only thing I would've loved is a side of raw onions, but that's purely personal preference. What really says it all is that the entire meal was eaten mostly in silence and not a single picture was taken, which is completely out of character for me as a foodie. "Camera eats first" absolutely does not apply at this restaurant. The establishment is run by a lovely couple in the kitchen along with one server. It's a quaint little spot that feels warm and personal, and I already have a feeling I'll be coming back often.

Vegetables combo plate was delicious Loved it Pita chips , thin and crunchy... fresh ... I would buy some to go . The not so good stuff: They sat us , a party of 4 at a very small table that was uncomfortable and our plates barely fit. My legs were hitting my wife and kids . The worse part is that there was an entire open larger table . The waitress was young and seemed inexperienced and uninterested. We felt like we were bothering her . I would order food to go from here but not dine in .

From the moment you step in, you're greeted with stunning skyline views that stretch across Downtown Los Angeles, setting the tone for an unforgettable night. What makes it stand out is the variety, multiple rooms and themed spaces keep the energy fresh as you explore. Whether you're in the mood for live entertainment, dancing, or a more laid-back lounge vibe, there's something happening around every corner. The highlight has to be the open-air carousel-style bar, a unique centerpiece that adds a fun, upscale twist while you sip cocktails under the city lights. Food options are just as impressive, with a mix of flavors and delicious bites that go way beyond typical bar fare, perfect for pairing with drinks as you bounce between rooms. They even have a wrestling ring with great looking women Overall: A must-visit rooftop in DTLA if you want incredible views, diverse entertainment, and a vibrant, multi-room atmosphere all in one place.

The staff didn't seem very familiar with the ongoing events, and communication felt lacking. The check-in process also came across as unnecessarily difficult, with some of the staff seeming to take their authority a little too seriously. I was even turned away at the door despite being 18+ for an 18+ event. Since there was no time limit or restriction preventing me from entering, I was eventually allowed in. What stood out even more was that, after reading some of the recent reviews, it appears I'm not the only person who has experienced issues with the bouncers and what comes across as an unnecessarily aggressive or confrontational approach to deciding who gets in. The overall impression is that some of the door staff seem more focused on exercising their authority than creating a welcoming experience for paying guests. My advice: avoid the unnecessary hassle at check-in and walk in confidently like you already know what you're doing. That said, once inside, the venue itself was a lot of fun. Golden Hour Poolside had plenty of space to dance, which made it one of my favorite parts of the night. Lucky Mizu was a bit small for a party venue, but the complimentary drinks for this particular event were a great touch. Mr. Wanderlust was PACKED and definitely hot, but it had a fun energy and was great for dancing. Despite the frustrating check-in experience, I didn't let it ruin my night. The venue has a lot going for it, and I ended up having a great time. Hopefully, Level 8 can improve communication between event organizers and staff and address the concerns surrounding the door staff. The venue itself has a lot of potential, and a smoother, more welcoming check-in experience would make a huge difference.
