    Food set up!
    Yvette D.

La Pradera comes through again! This time I was hosting a baby shower for about 35 people and needed some prepared food! Nick helped me with my order, so friendly! In fact, everyone that works there that I've come in contact with is super friendly! I ordered: 10 pounds prepared Marinated Chicken 10 pounds prepared Habanero Chicken 12 pounds Carne Asada (un-cooked) Tray of Rice Tray of beans 3 huge packs of street taco tortillas 6 pounds of chips 4 (pints I believe) Hot Salsas 2 (pints I believe) Mild Salsas Oh my GOODNESS... EVERYONE LOVED LOVED LOVED IT ALL!!! I got compliments from everyone asking where I got the food from! Of course I referred them! I sure hope they all go to you Nick! Thank you for your wonderful customer service and DELICIOUS FOOD!!! You have a faithful customer here! P.S. Enjoyed the left overs all week long! Yay!

I've been getting Carne Asada here for years, I live in Temecula and willing to drive for hours in traffic to get here I haven't tried a lot of the other stuff but I can tell you that is some of the best meat and their marinating is amazing. It's very quiet little meat market they have some great tortilla options and their chips and salsa are amazing 12 out of 10 I would come back again and again

DO NOT SHOP HERE!! This was the worst Cecina I ever purchased from a Mexican meat market. I trusted that they would have quality meat. When I got home , I opened the bag and the meat was super dark, slimy, and it had a rotten stench. The person attending me at the meat department should have known that the meat they gave me had gone bad. This goes to show you that the quality of meat and their workers are worth shit. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!

Guy behind the meat counter was RUDE! Carne asada was a whopping $11.99 a lb and didn't even look fresh. Save your time and go elsewhere.

Excellent flavor on the chicken, my personal favorite, just love the seasoning, has a hint of orange juice in it........I think.

The lady behind the cashier also very helpful, we purchased a lemon and she was nice enough to cut it for us to it out asking. I guess I entered their delivery door to the meat dept., but they didn't seem to mind. This place is a bit tiny, but it is very neat and have a good selection of meats. The place is clean and shelves are very neatly stocked and organized. And of course I must have been the cheapest buyer in the place. I spent a whole $1.94 for Square Gas foil burners for your stove. They're square aluminum foil to protect food from dripping onto your stove by the burners. I'm a guy, so that's the best I can do for identifying these. The cashier was cheerful and friendly and didn't mind me being a cheap spender. Larios Market was recommended to me by a wonderful fellow Yelper. You know who you are. Thank you!…read more I wanted to get guacamole, salsa, and chips for a team potluck lunch. I got rave reviews on these items that they are super good at Larios so here I am to confirm. This market is located at the corner of Barranca Ave and Arrow Highway in Covina. It's actually a meat market, but they sell produce and other food/dry items plus hot foods. It's a very small place with maybe 3-4 tight aisles. I went straight to the refrigeration area. I saw lots of different salsas and a handful of guacamole. At first glance, the appearance of the guac did not look appealing to me. It looked brown and kind of watery at the top. I was hesitant to get them, but since they were recommended, I got 3 of them. Now looking back, I should have only gotten one just to try them. It was not that great IMHO. Maybe they were not made that day and have been hanging around for a day or so. However, the roasted red salsa was really really good... I would highly recommend this one. Pico de gallo was decent. Crab ceviche was just okay... too much of the V8 taste. I ended up buying 6 containers and spent over $50 on guac and salsa. Probably more than I need. I didn't bother with the chips as they look more on the oily side. Anyway, staff was nice and helpful. Check out was fast as it wasn't super busy at the time. Parking is limited. They do have a few tables and stools outside in front of the market for those who want to eat here after their food purchase. I'm not sure if I would come back for the guac, but I may come back for the roasted red salsa and possibly their tacos and burritos.

A most near second is the braised short rib, served with a delectable and cloud-soft heap of mashed potatoes. Of lesser note were the wagyu tacos, pigs in a blanket, and the maple pecan butter cake, which proved but ordinary in their savor. Why gave I it four? - Forsooth, the service remaineth most excellent, the choices ample, and the fare overall commendable. Know thou, many of the draughts afore-mentioned were priced for happy hour as a small note. Of those dishes deemed but middling, the wagyu tacos and pigs in a blanket lacked that wondrous spark upon the tongue. Lastly, the dry-aged ribeye, though served with seasoning apart, did taste somewhat over-salted to mine palate. Yet, these faults did not greatly diminish mine experience for I retain my favored dishes and shall return anon. Verdict? - Shouldst thou find thyself near Claremont, prithee give it a try, for it is a place most grand.
