First of all, cutest name ever! All of the bakery items are extremely fresh, homemade, and crave worthy! Something that I absolutely loved here is that the iced coffee has 4 shots of espresso. Majority of other locations I have to add atleast one extra shot to my coffee or it tastes overly sweet or watery. This coffee is PERFECT! I will always return here when I visit for work!!

One complaint I have is that croissants are always burnt. Never one time have they been cooked at the right level. They want to make sure the inside is cooked but the outside isn't golden it's always dark and over crispy. Today I had a scone but the ratio of toppings to dough was off a bit. Perhaps oven temperature? There isn't enough space for customers to maneuver and while they do have a microwave for you to heat up food that isn't heated through it's a cheapo Hamilton one from Walmart. It would make a big difference in customer service for them to upgrade to a higher wattage microwave that is maybe professional grade. Both for the staff behind the counter and the one available to customers. Simple fix that I think would help the line move quicker. Staff are always courteous and kind.

The only bad thing was that we were too full for a dessert. Like Arnold Schwarzenegger, "We'll be back!" (Oh yeah, they had a super looking bar as well!)

Cork and Pig is a trendy spot in Abilene near Abilene Christian University. It's one of those wood…read moreslat, metal sign restaurants that have no character besides being in a generic shopping center that pretends to be fancier than it is, so it just ends up looking like a cold soulless shell. The interior is that frigid, lifeless faux fancy industrial aesthetic that chills your senses and has no character of its own. The menu is what you expect. Nothing special or original just benign takes on traditional fare, like Blackened Ribeyes. We were In Abilene because my family gathered to watch my nephew's football debut at Hardin-Simmons University. My wife ordered the Caesar Salad and Truffle fries. The salad was limp, and the dressing was tangy like it was mixed with Dijon mustard Her Truffle Fries had an okay flavor. The dipping sauces were good but nothing great but the nail in the coffin was the fries were cold. Not cold as in sitting in the warmer cold, we're talking OUT ON THE COUNTER FOR 10 MINUTES OR MORE COLD!! I got the Waygu Smash burger. The burger patties, pickles, and everything inside were good but it was served on a fancy bun that was also cold. Not sitting on the counter for 10 minutes cold, we're talking RIGHT OUT OF THE FRIDGE COLD. Fancy buns should be lightly toasted to make the dense bread bearable. It totally failed my bun to juiciness ratio, and to top it off my fries were also COLD. My daughter got the Ahi Tuna Ponzo. I didn't taste it because I was busy eating my cold bun, cold fries. Plus my wife's Dijon Caesar Salad because she despises mustard. But she seemed to like it, that's why this review is three stars instead of two. She said it was "Slightly nutty and the vinaigrette is sharp and fresh without being overwhelming the tuna is seasoned nicely and it's a fatty cut not fishy at all." Listen, you could say "if it's cold send it back. Make them fix it." But the truth is that it doesn't matter. They sent out two batches of cold truffle fries (my brother in law also ordered some), my cold fries, a fancy bun that was right out of the fridge, and Caesar dressing spiked with Dijon mustard. Sending it back just would have made the experience worse, like being in a chilly hell where all the heat has been stolen so all food is served COLD.

Anna was our waitress/server and she greeted us quickly with menus and took our drink orders. Back a few moments later and took our orders. I ordered scrambled eggs; I asked for them to be very cooked/not runny, hash browns and white toast dry with some jelly on the side. My husband ordered pancakes. She returned with our orders and everything was exactly as I ordered - I was pleasantly surprised. The eggs were perfect (seems like a small victory but when you are a little picky about your eggs ... it's a huge deal to me!) John's pancakes were quite large and filling so he was a happy man! Anna was very sweet and attentive to our needs ... checked on us regarding how the food was tasting to us, drink refills, did we need anything else. Plus the place had a great vibe ... almost the feeling of a small town, welcoming diner. You could tell there were many regulars as they came through the door, several were greeted by name. A fun (and filling) experience for us and we'll definitely be heading back to see them.

I had the MVP breakfast where you have choices for each breakfast item you would like. The food was very good and their waffles are so fluffy. The restaurant was clean , the waitstaff was very kind. We were greeted by multiple employees upon arriving and leaving. It was a nice family oriented atmosphere. I will definitely be a repeat customer
