We stopped in here for lunch on our way to Stockbridge. The menu looked great and it was so quaint inside, and it was also large enough to accommodate our party of 13 at smaller tables. Some of us ordered the angus steak pie, the salmon and cream pie, the lamb stew and the chicken bacon and cheese panini. We loved the steak pie! The creamy mashed potatoes and the gravy was so delicious! The crispy pastry on top was really good as well. Total 5/5. We really liked the tangy dressing on the salad too. The salmon was great and we loved that as well. The lamb stew had good flavor but the meat was tough with a lot of fatty pieces throughout. I wouldn't order it again. The paninis were okay with not a lot of flavor. It definitely needed salt and pepper and maybe another sauce added for flavor. My sister loved her English breakfast with the haggis and blood pudding. I'm giving this place a 4 star based on the steak and salmon pies and the service. read more
