So I was a bit skeptical about the restaurant since it's quite touristy but this was probably one of the best meals I had all trip. The location is central and the restaurant is quite large. Our tour guide recommended this spot and I was so pleasantly surprised. I had the Pacheri which had mushrooms and sausage. The pasta was home made and food came out rather quickly. Stopped by this spot for Italian while walking around Edinburgh and had a nice experience overall. We ordered the minestrone soup, penne pomodoro, and a margherita pizza. The soup was warm and comforting and came with a piece of bread on the side. The pasta and pizza were both a little saucy, but tasted very fresh. I also liked that they added fresh parmesan on top of the pasta. The ambiance was really nice and there was plenty of seating. For dessert, we shared the Coppa Rocher sundae with pistachio and chocolate ice cream topped with whipped cream. The ice cream was very creamy and it was a great way to end the meal. I'll give our server grace since it seemed like her second day on the job, but that was probably why the food/bill took so long. The squid ink risotto was super pigmented/rich and the original carbonara was so amazingly creamy, almost too much so where I couldn't finish. The cheesecake was said to be blackcurrant but I'm relatively certain it was just chocolate, but the gelato was great. Meatballs were amazing as well. read more

Vittoria checks all boxes for food, service and ambiance. The restaurant is very appealing outside and once you walk inside it's even more appealing. I ordered the Vittoria pasta which was recommended. The portion was a bit small but still filling. My pasta was very good and I enjoyed it with their hot chili oil. For dessert I ordered the rum raisin ice cream which was also very good. Our server was very sweet and made our dining experience enjoyable. My boyfriend really enjoyed the pizza here. I can't wait to return to Vittoria for great Italian food when I visit Edinburgh again. Highly recommend! read more

We had such a lovely dinner here. The venue is so much bigger than you would think walking in. We were seated downstairs near the bar. The food was served so quickly and it was delicious. It was so nice to see actual Italians talking to each other Italian (coming from Southern California). We had pizza and pasta and they offer a half pizza and smaller serving of pasta already split between two people. Perfect for my husband and I who shared the capricciosa pizza and the tagliatelle bolognese. My son had the Diavolo pizza and my other sons had the margarita pizza. Superb experience in this clearly family run place that could be in Bologna or Venice. This has a cool modern vibe with nice lighting, bench seating along the wall and purple led light over the middle part. The service was excellent but the star is the food. I had a passable minestrone but the daily pasta special was incredible. This was a black pasta with a ton of very fresh shrimp and a wonderful tomato sauce that had a slight kick to it and wa based on a seafood reduction. Truly special. They have two types of carbonara the wife had the traditional version and loved it. They have quite a selection of aperitivos, scotch, beer and mixed drinks. If you're in the mood for Italian food while in Edinburgh, then Vittoria is the place for you. I loved the modern chic interior. Service could have been friendlier, though I did appreciate the efficiency when my food came out fairly quickly. I ordered the chicken and pesto pasta, which was pretty good overall - the chicken was on the dry side but the sauce was amazing. I've never tried red pesto before, which gets its vibrant red color from sun-dried tomatoes or roasted red peppers, and has a richer flavor profile than green pesto made from basil. I have to say, I am definitely a fan. The raspberry mojito was also solid. Overall the meal was fairly satisfying. read more

I've been craving some Italian since I first came in Oct of 2023. My excitement was killed pretty quickly. Not sure if they were short staffed or just didn't care. Took longer to pay than to eat our meal. Off the starter menu we got some Bruschetta and Insalata Caprese. Bruschetta was the best part of our meal. The tomatoes in the Caprese just looked sad. I miss the bright red tomatoes that used to come with this dish. The Chicken Milanese looked amazing as presented but the favor fell completely flat. While the chicken was nice and crispy it had no flavor. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Was really hoping to have the same experience we had in 2023 and it just disappointed this time. read more

The food here is SO GOOD! I'm sorry I had to say that right off the bat. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and swiftly seated and served. Food came out very quickly, but the quality was nevertheless excellent. I went with the Mac and cheese croquettes and the burrata pizza. Both were steaming hot and tasted very fresh, I was worried that the Mac and cheese would taste oily because it's fried, but it was actually very well balanced and delicious. I had 4 slices of the pizza and couldn't do anymore even if I wanted to. I loved how thin but flavorful the pizza was, and it was cooked very well. Not soggy and the perfect layers of sauce and cheese, topped with vinegar. This is what I call AUTHENTIC Italian food! It definitely exceeded expectations! read more

Had a good dinner here while staying in Edinburgh for a couple days. There was a 5 to 10 minute wait, so not bad. This was a nice restaurant just a block down from the Royal Mile. For food, we ordered the focaccia appetizer, Raviolini Gorgonzola & Pear, and Fish Stew. The focaccia was excellent and my wife loved the raviolini. I thought the fish stew was good, but not great. Had good flavor, but was a fairly small serving. Service was good and efficient. Definitely worth a visit for good Italian food. read more

Vittoria came highly recommended for our time in Edinburgh. We made reservations well in advance and arrived on time. The restaurant is beautiful and has an energetic vibe. It was quite hot inside, but that may be a normal Edinburgh thing. After being seated, it took a while for anyone to recognize we were there. Someone finally came to drop off menus. When we ordered, we asked a question about an item labeled as a salad. We wanted to know if it came with lettuce or greens. We were assured it did. We waited for our food. The drinks came after a wait. The food took much longer to arrive and guess what? No lettuce on the salad. Hubby made the best of it. No one came to check on us. We finished our food and a waiter (the 3rd person to help us during our stay) asked if we wanted dessert. We declined politely but he continued to offer items (sorbet, tea, coffee), kind of aggressively. I thought he was being playful and I responded kindly. We asked for our check. He left and was gone for a long time. He served and spoke with the table next to us at length. We asked a different waiter for the check, he motioned to our latest server who replied. Still no check. Next we spoke to another waitress asking for the check- she said ok. And still we waited. It almost seemed like we were being mistreated or something else. We were fighting over the last piece. The arancini only has two pieces on the plate so you may want to order extra for the table. I love a good bolognese and after being sorely disappointed at another restaurant, this one more than made up for that other watery bowl of pasta. Everything was set for a great evening the quality of the meals let it down. As we waited for food we ordered a drink at the bar, a nice Aperol Spritz. We got it ordered quickly and then we're seated downstairs. We had no idea this place was so big. The staff was amazing and were fluent in Italian so it was cool to be able to talk with them in Italian. We got the pizza Diavola and we got meatballs and a nice Bolognese. Emanuele was an attentive, personable server. We ordered calamari fritti and minestrone soup with crostini for appetizers. Then we shared a meta Quattro stagioni pizza (artichoke hearts/black olives/ham/mushrooms) and ravioli Leandro (stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese with a creamy pink sauce and fresh herbs/shredded Parmesan). We made a reservation, got seated quickly, and enjoyed the lunchtime ambiance. The food was insanely good. I had a pesto and sun-dried tomato, ravioli dish, which might have been one of the best meals I had over a two week period in the United Kingdom. My only gripe about the entire experience was that our server was visibly sick. He was coughing every couple of minutes, was visibly sweating, and generally seemed to be struggling. And he was not wearing a mask, unfortunately. Regardless, he was still very nice to me and my family, and on any other day this would've been a 10/10 dining experience. read more

We were in town with friends and we stopped at Vittoria for dinner. Who would had thought that you could find this caliber of Italian food in Edinburgh UK? I do recommend a call in advance, the place gets really full and we were a party of 8. We started with the Calamari and Bruschetta for starters and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. We had a margarita and a cheese pizza, Ravioli with Gorgonzola and Pear, Lasagna and I had the Tagliatelle Alla Vittoria. With all of the items we tried (almost everything on the menu), there wasn't a single item that we would not order again. We ended the meal with a table full of deserts, which I didn't partake in. But I remember that the Tiramasu was the dish that almost broke my diet. The establishment is definitely a must visit and it is the number one restaurant when we return to Edinburgh. read more
