First time here, it's a nice large bakery that also offers food. I tried their cheese tamales and it was the weirdest tamale I've ever had. When I opened it it looked like chili Verde. Then, what I think was chesse was melted and spread out over the masa, it had an unpleasant texture and it tasted weird. The apple filled pastry/bread only had a miniscule teaspoon amount of apple filling and only on one half of the pastry. Not really pastry but dry... bread. I was really looking forward to eating the maraschino cherry on top of what they called 'like pineapple upside-down-cake" but got faked out with a blob of red glue like substance that didn't taste like anything. This was not cake just more dry bread, thicker then the last, terrible. Also ordered a pint of beans. It took forever to get the beans and a tamale. Now looking for a better bakery in Soledad

Great spot to grab and go or just sit down for a great meal. They have an expansive menu and this particular store was clean and had an outside patio. I ordered at the counter for a super carnitas burrito and it was chockful if meat and came with a spicy great sauce. Tip: get lots of napkins. My burrito was about $8.00.

Wow, I had maybe the best burrito I've ever had here. It was just so good and I understand why this place was packed at 8am now. I also got some pastries that were also delicious! Definitely a must if you're in the area/heading to Pinnacles!

Before you leave Check your burrito. Eggs, beans, cheese, potatoes, and chorizo!!

First time coming to this place and it will be my last time. I ordered a chorizo beans, eggs, and potato burrito by the time I came home my burrito was soaked with oil. The girl at the register was very rude. I really don't want to leave a star. I was disgusted.

011920 - Wow, the food here is great! You can get authentic Mexican food and desserts. We had ordered pan dulce, turnovers, cakes, cookies, and flan. Gosh, the flan is a must have! We also ordered savory items. We bought a carnitas super burrito, shrimp tacos, and tamales. Everything tasted so delicious. The rice in the super burrito was fresh and had a soft texture. The burrito itself wasn't salty. The shrimps in the tacos were well marinated. The green sauce can be a bit spicy. Service was A+. The staff here is friendly, patient, and helpful.

Fantastic find in Soledad on the way to SF for good authentic Mexican food and pastries! The place was clean, bright colors and cool air conditioning. Was looking for yummy tamales and this place popped up. Ordered some tacos: lengua (super bomb), Al pastor and carnitas. Was impressed with the amount of meat, slaw and avocado in the tacos! Took 3 pork tamales to go. The service was friendly and the price was so great! Will definitely drop by again if we're in the area!!! Highly recommended!

If you're in the neighborhood, I highly recommend checking out this place if you can order ahead because they are pretty busy the way it's usually about 15 to 20 minutes for whatever dish or burrito if you're ordering

A family tradition in the weekends, great pan dulce, delicious menudo, solid breakfast burritos and some of the best Tortas around.

The food tastes good and fresh. The only option at this time is take out. Big selection of freshly baked pastries. Worth a visit.

The restaurants exterior isn't the nicest. The exterior colors are bright and tacky. However,…read moreyou'll be glad you stopped once you try their food. We ordered one chicken enchilada plate and 2 chilaquiles plates. One chilaquiles plate was with green sauce and another with red sauce. All our entrees tasted very authentic and homemade. Neither of the rice or beans tasted canned or pre-made. The food had great flavor! We also ordered their agua fresca of the day which was pineapple. It was the cherry on top to a satisfying visit. It tasted very fresh without added sugar. Just natural fruit flavors. I highly recommend checking out this place if you're passing through Soledad.

We just got in from Downtown LA to visit my boyfriends family. They ordered all his favorite foods…read morefrom town as usual, however I of course was craving my usual aguachiles. I also ordered cóctel de camarón as an extra add on. I decided to try El Pariente. I'm super picky about my aguachiles so I was thinking they would just satisfy my craving. However, they were literally so amazing. Super enchilosos like I love them! The girl was super nice and obviously the cooks are awesome. I absolutely am going to stop by on my way back to LA to take an order back with me! The outside is so cute, lots of parking and the inside of the restaurant was so cute and authentic looking. They have a great selection of bottled Mexican beer. I had a modelo while I waited and it was super cold. All in all I give this place 5 stars for ambiance, food, cold bottled beer and very nice friendly staff. Next time we're in town longer I'll definitely go have a sit down dinner. Muchísimas gracias por mis aguachiles perfectos y deliciosos!
