I stopped by Greenfield during my drive south and found that this was the only place open at 11 am and realized that they were still listed as a food truck on Yelp so decided to check it out. They seem to have a limited menu but when asked, told me they have the usual assortment of tacos, burritos and tortas. I asked if they had carnitas and if they could make me a plate with rice and beans instead since that's how I preferred to eat it. They gladly told me that they'll do just that for me. Paid sat down, waited a short bit, and was brought a lovely plate of food. Carnitas was moist in the middle and super crisp and crunchy on the outside. Lovely fluffy rice and well cooked beans, flavorful sauces, and housemade corn tortillas. All in all a lovely meal and something I'd didn't think I'll have in a small city like this. Stopped on our drive home to Huntington Beach! A dozen Mexican restaurants on this street and we settled on this one as it all alone. But don't let that fool you it's a great spot! Prices are very decent and worth the amount of food that they serve you. My son got the mojarra plate and it was delicious... I got the carnitas burrito mojado and it that was so good too! No one wants to have their vehicle break down, especially far from home. While I was waiting I walked down the street to this restaurant. $10 for 3 pastor tacos and a modelo. Some of the best pastor I have had. Granted it was after lunch and before dinner but these tacos were phenomenal.
