I went here again because a friend wanted to check this place out. Despite my initial warning , we went there and sure enough it was not really good. It was just average , the prices went up, the quality and service went down. The food itself was just thrown together and reflected a complacency and arrogance that was conveyed via their employees and owner. You go in and order (no smile, no gratitude ) , sit down and wait. They used to be good and staff used to be friendly but now they seem unhappy ....... I am not going back anymore - I have it more chances with my money a few times and ended up disappointed. To be honest I entered with an open mind and boy do I wish I didn't go in. The place was crowded with too many things and it smelt weird. The ladies were just talking and not helping the customers. The food was okay? It wasn't the best. To be honest I think if you're craving something mid go for it. But if not I recommend going else where. Damn. This place has some good authentic Mexican food...I know it's the real deal because I'm Mexican. I had two tacos de asada and it came with fresh corn tortillas and a good portion of meat. I usually could eat like 4+tacos but two was enough for me. The salsa was so good! The service was good and the place was clean. Also, prices are cheap here! We saw the tamales sign so that we walked in. They said only the pork ones were available at that time. We bought two to go. We ate it at home, DELICIOUS!!! Today was my first time ordering food from this place via phone and picking up. When I arrived, the total changed from $59.07 to $70. When I asked the owner to show me which plate total was different from the prices he gave me over the phone the total suddenly changed to $59.11. It made me wonder how many people he does this to that don't question or pay attention to him ringing up prices. I will not be ordering from here again. The food in size is worth your buck if your not over charged. Cons: no salsa was given and we had approximately 6 orders. Great Agua frescas but the food is average they also sell fresh meat so you would think the meat on the restaurant side would be fresh but I bought a Asada torta and was disappointed to taste the meat Wich tasted like it had been cooked the previous day. Went here knowing very little Spanish. I told my cashier in Spanish, I speak very little. And he said okay. They got my order wrong but that isn't the problem my problem was with the guy working before check out he goes you know I asked you what you wanted and somehow it was wrong and you made them make another and I told him, I'm sorry I told the guy I didn't speak Spanish and he goes that's my dad and I'm sorry I didn't hear that. And so I go on and tell him I'm experiencing extreme aggression for your mistake ? And he goes well what do you want I wasn't there I didn't hear that. The restaurant formerly known as Pacheco's, has a new owner and a new name, "los girasoles" (a girasole is a sunflower). The locals in this sleepy,windy town can agree that the change of propietors has not compromised the taste, variety,quality,size,service or prices in any way. On the contrary,they've actually kicked it up a notch or two. In fact, there are several new items,like the delicious and refreshing aguas frescas ( my favorite is agua de fruta,after you drink it,you have a small fresh fruit salad to munch on at the bottom of the glass,gotta love it). The menu is still large and varied. There are burritos and quesadillas,sopes and tacos,chile rellenos,chile verde or rojo,carnitas,flautas,seafood specialties,and weekend specials. Salsas are tasty and not too spicy,tortillas accompany all orders,and they are made there so they are soft and delicious.Prices are pretty much the same as well.
