    18" Cheese Hand Tossed Pizza

Hands down my favorite pizza in St. louis! LaPizza is a small spot that packs a punch. Hardly any seating inside, but that doesn't matter. It's that good. I'm a fan of the plain cheese pizza. Perfect sauce to cheese ratio, and NY style crust! reminds me of my east coast travels! My boyfriend is a Jersey native and gives this place the stamp of approval! When we come to get our order, the guys working are always very nice! They always ask if we want any parmesan or chili flakes which is thoughtful. Even though this place is 25 min from my house... very worth it! My ONLY problem is they no longer sell slices! That would make lunch stops much easier if you don't want a whole pizza. Love it

My coworker was telling me about this place this morning. My coworker is from New York so when she told me this tastes like New York Pizza, I was sold and wanted to try this place after work today. I love pizza and have tried several pizza places when I visited New York a while back. I decided to get the 18" Roberto specialty pizza , large garden salad and cheese garlic bread. They were all pretty good. The pizza is not exactly like New York Pizza I had when I was in New York but it is good. I would definitely come back and try a different pizza in the future.

Yeah.....Best pizza in the Lou. The cheese here is just so high quality that it sets a bar above the rest. Yes, Pie Guy & Pizzeria de Gloria are great. But La Pizza has a taste that is different and very similar to a NYC style. I would know, I spent 13 years there lol. Highly recommend eating in store or having a slice in the car before you pull out of the lot. Pizza changes inside a box and this pizza piping hot is the only way to go. Call to schedule a pickup. They always have it ready exactly when you specify. Does take a few calls to get through but persistentce works in this case.

Customer Service was awesome. And the Calzone was cheesy just how I like it!! Will be back for a whole pizza

My friend is from New York and moved to StL a while back. He highly recommended La Pizza and this place did not disappoint! This was a photo taken dining in before COVID and I wanted to make sure that I still share my love with a place that I miss the most! The crust was cooked to perfection and the toppings blended very well together. I miss this pizza and I hope everyone hears about how great this NYC style pizza place is!

I really liked this place. The pizza was super good and most important memorable. I love dining at places that make me think about them and look forward to going back. It's very small but super busy. You kind of get the feeling of sitting at your family's pizzeria, I enjoyed their silly banter with each other all the while banging out one pizza after the next. My grandson really liked watching the pizza guy tossing the pizza. Good experience from the moment we entered the door!

Best pizza in St Louis! For a NJ/NY transplant like myself, this is the most authentic east cost pizza you're gonna get in this area. Definitely worth it!

Tried to call in an order Friday night around 5:45pm and they were already sold out! It just made me want to try their pizza even more!!! So I called in an order nice and early for lunch the next day! Got there and the pizza was ready to go. The service was super friendly! We chatted a bit and they told me they get orders 2 or 3 days in advanced for fridays and saturdays! So if you want some pizza friday or saturday night call in nice and early. Onto the pizza. Got a 16" with pepperoni. It was perfect for 2 with some leftovers for lunch the next day! The pizza was pretty darn good!!! The crust, sauce, cheese, pepperoni! Everything was great and a classic slice of pizza. I couldnt ask for more! Glad I got to try this place out before my move!!! Will be enjoying more for lunch soon!

Pizza was amazing. Authentic New York style. Massive. Great ingredients. Totally authentic. A little pricey but still excellent.

The Best Dining Experience We've Had in St. Louis - Hands Down…read moreMy husband and I wanted to give our dear friends who are leaving St. Louis one last unforgettable meal from their bucket list, so I immediately recommended Peno. I used to be a regular at Rosé with the same talented Chef Pepe, and his food is truly to die for. We walked in on a beautiful day and were lucky to snag a spot in their small parking lot (parking in the area isn't the easiest, but it's worth it). Our server, Harry, made the evening even better right from the start. He had such a warm, calm, professional presence--the kind that's rare these days. We instantly remembered his name thanks to a fun Harry Potter / Harry and the Hendersons reference, and he handled everything with effortless skill. When our friends had parking trouble, Harry quickly offered helpful suggestions. Then, when it was time to order, he elevated our meal in the best way possible. My husband and I got our longtime favorite--the Roberto pizza from Rosé days--and Harry suggested adding sausage and peppers. That small tweak took something we already loved and made it 1000% better. Absolute perfection. Our friend ordered the spaghetti (her all-time favorite comfort meal), and after taking Harry's thoughtful recommendation, she declared it the best spaghetti she's ever had in her life. We finished with the cheesecake. I'm extremely picky about cheesecake, but this one did not disappoint--it was creamy, rich, and flawless. This was one of those legendary meals you remember forever. The kind where you leave thinking you could die happy. Chef Pepe's food, paired with Harry's outstanding service, made it a perfect night. If you're in St. Louis, do yourself a favor and go to Peno. You won't regret it. Thank you, Harry and team--you helped create a truly special send-off for our friends!

It was supposed to have…read moreroasted red peppers(it had one strip), olives(it had one) onions(it had one small piece) and beans(there were three). A large amount of mozzarella-looked like Provel on top. I did call over the server to clarify if this was what this salad was supposed to be - mostly lettuce. She said yes then brought over a small plate with a few olives. Again, this salad was $15. It must have cost Peno a dollar to make because it was mostly lettuce. I live a few blocks from Peno and love the idea of a neighborhood restaurant we can all embrace. Sadly, I won't be back.

Not off putting type of noisy, but you are not having any romantic private conversations here. We are in Clayton so you know the ambiance is right, nothing to complain about there. My waiter was attentive, almost to attentive, until it came to the check then I couldn't find him lol. Not complaining though because way to often you have to be ultra patient. WE had a large chopped salad which was delicious. I had Pomodoro pasta which was good. BUT THE STAR OF THE SHOW WAS THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS. we ate two orders and I ordered one to go. Now i am not a pasta snob but I do enjoy the hill, and my favorite Italian restaurant is EAtely in Chicago. Now this, aint that. But i would definitely come back and try other things on the menu. ITs affordable enough that i can bring my whole family, its nice enough that this could be classified as a special night out. If you have teenagers or young adults that are currently dating within a budget, your date will feel special if you bring her here.

It was rich without feeling too heavy, and every bite felt incredibly comforting yet elevated at the same time. Definitely one of my favorite lasagnas ever. We kicked things off with the toasted ravioli, and I can honestly say they are some of the best in St. Louis. You can tell they are handmade in-house--perfectly crispy on the outside with a delicious, savory filling that pairs beautifully with the marinara. We also shared the prosciutto di parma, which was sliced thin and had a wonderful, authentic flavor that set a high bar for the rest of the night. For the main course, we tried two very different but equally amazing dishes: Pepperoni Pizza: The addition of hot honey was a game-changer. It added a bold, spicy kick that balanced the salty pepperoni perfectly. Cacio e Pepe: This was truly spectacular. It's a simple dish that is hard to get right, but this was easily the best I've ever had outside of Rome. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the peppery flavor was throughout. To drink, we ordered the Old Dolce Vita, their unique take on an Old Fashioned. It was expertly crafted and really showed off their skills behind the bar--smooth, balanced, and a great companion to the meal. Our server was fantastic--attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, but also gave us plenty of time to relax and enjoy our conversation. We never felt rushed, which made for a perfectly paced and memorable dinner. We will definitely be back
