During one of my morning walks, I decided to stop by and check this spot out to see what the fuss is all about. The place is packed but the staff are efficient and quick to serve. It is clean and comfortable it has a chill vibe to it. As I walked in, I was greeted nicely by one of the staff and looking around is full of Deliciousness. I love pistachios and this place is the bomb! I elected to try their pistachio cafe latte and their pistachio crepe'. I didn't wait too long to acquire my latte and crepe and a staff was able to assist me to find a table to dine almost immediately. As soon as I tasted the latte and crepe, omg! It was to die for. This was one of the first things I ate in Paris and it was delicious! I got a pistachio crepe with pistachio ice cream and it was so decadent and they did not go light on the pistachio creme which I really liked. The people working were very nice even though I don't speak much french. This location has a great view from the eiffel tower and is only about a 6 minute walk away from it. Also I forgot to mention this but the ice cream was also very good. Me and my dad even agreed that we liked it better than Berthillon! Also the prices were very reasonable in my eyes. I totally recommend this place. The line was a little long but the workers working fast and efficient. read more

The outside publicity for the ice cream got all my attention and gave me the desire to try the pistachio ice cream with the pistachio topping. I haven't had any coffee before the ice cream. The buttery nut complimented the chocolate extremely well. Also grabbed some curried pistachios. Fashioned like a gourmet sweet shop with food displayed in glass candy jars and see-through counters, La Pistacherie elevates the humble nut to luxury status. I discovered the new shop (it opened 4 months ago, I was told) this past weekend just as I was developing a little afternoon creu and decided to pick up some treats to keep me satiated until dinner. After asking a bunch of questions about the place, I was told some of the nuts are roasted and seasoned on site such as the pistachios, cashews and maccadamia, but that other products, while delicious, are prepared elsewhere. I asked for suggestions and the person helping me insisted on one of three nuts roasted on site, and thus served warm. I was a bit wary since they were the three most expensive nuts and I didn't want to be taken for a ride, but he really, really insisted, so I decided to give the cheese-flavored cashews a try at 5,30E per 100g, and also picked up a sachet of white-chocolate covered raisins for my sweet tooth husband at 1,99E per 100g. The were both out-of-this-world and worth every penny (if not more!). Definitely the most exciting (and sinful..) culinary discovery I've made in a long time. If La Pistacherie is any indication of a new culinary trend blowing in the wind (and I think it is) then we're going to be seeing more high-end nuts sprouting up around town. read more

super cute store with nuts literally everywhereee. I came specifically to try the ice cream mochi and took a green tea and pistachio one (duh). First comment - they are 3.50 euros each. personally i think that is crazyy expensive for just one little mochi. was it worth it? I dont think so. They come in a variety of flavours and sure the presentation is super cute cut up and its really perfect for instagram, but I will not be coming again. it really is just that - an ice cream mochi. The ice cream itself is not even super delicious (i doubt its even homemade). I guess people are willing to pay the price because there is really not another shop in paris I know that sells them. Word of advice, I think its better to let them warm up a bit after you first get them. i ate them instantly and they were REALLY hard. The one good factor is that the mochi skin is pretty thin so you get alot of ice cream in the middle. If you want ice cream mochi, I suggest you just go to an asian supermarket and buy a whole pack for 6-8 euros instead. read more

This is such a cute gourmet shop. I got to pick out the different flavors and they jarred and packaged it up nicely for me. It was a gift for my dad and he absolutely loved the high quality nuts here. The packaging was wonderful as a gift and they staff were so nice to help us select all the different flavors. The mochi looked wonderful but unfortunately it was freezing out so the last thing I wanted was a frozen treat. Maybe next time I'm in Paris and in the area I'll give the mochis a try. read more

I didn't personally go to this store but a relative just returned from Paris and brought us a box of chews from this place, She said each piece was $1.75-$1.95 Euro. In it were pistachio nougets, a round white marzipan-ish tasting piece surrounded by green colored grainy sugar and another sweet dessert each individually packaged. I think there were about 30 pieces in the box. No one in the family particularly cared for these sweets. People thought they were too sweet and weird tasting. I'd rather have See's chocolates or French chocolates. read more

Very cute shop that was located down the block from the apartment I was staying in on a recent vacation in Paris. I went in a few times, but didn't buy anything until the 2nd time. But the guy at the counter was VERY nice both times, even when I didn't buy anything the 1st time (Side note: He was dressed in a very professional-looking uniform, was extremely pleasant, & spoke a little English - but I always make it a point to ask in French if they speak English before speaking English to them, which I think he appreciated). While they do specialize in pistachios, they also do have an assortment of other nutty goodies (by both weight & in prepackaged gift sets or jars), as well as jars of dark & white chocolate-covered cranberries, sugar-coated peanuts, etc. I think they also have a case displaying mochi ice cream on the right side of the shop. By the main counter/register, they have assorted pistachios & nuts you can buy by weight. I wound up buying 2 jars of the sugar-coated peanuts (about 10 Euros each), which were very delicious & NOT overly sugary like they are here in the US. (My boyfriend isn't a fan of overly sugary things, but he liked these so much that he ate 1/2 of the large jar within less than 30 minutes!) My family also bought a few things here & they loved everything as well. It's not cheap, but I think it was worth the prices for the quality of the merchandise as well as the level of service you receive. read more

ridiculously good taco spiced pistachios, 8€ for 100g. funny, forward, and helpful staff. gorgeous arrangements. the small bag is stuck shut at the corners of the open end but open in the middle so you can pour nuts out handily for a convenient and delicious snack. outstanding specialty shop featuring pistachios in many forms

Gorgeous shop - we visited both the one in Les Halles near the Pompidou and the one near the Champs Elysee every time we passed. We particularly enjoyed the wasabi peanuts (just the right amount of wasabi, not nasal-burning), the soy cashews (addictive) and the marzipan treats. Yup, it's expensive...but so different than any nuts you see in the US. Great gifts for nut lovers. This is one of a handful of shops in Paris that I truly miss now that I'm back in the states! read more
