A half pounder, cooked nicely and came out hot to the bar. One of the few times you see a burger hanging outside the bun. Prices are very reasonable. The food comes out quickly. The tortillas are thick with great fresh corn flavor. The tacos were delicious with perfectly ripe buttery avocado, fresh cilantro and onion. The sauces added great spice. The pico was FRESH and delicious. I loved my lunch. So good. The chips are fresh without a bunch of salt. They have a small grocery. There is limited parking. They have a good balance between traditional Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisines. The cheese enchiladas are excellent (the best I've had in this part of the state since the demise of Don Pablo's in Mishawaka) made with a combination of both red or green enchilada sauce and cheese dip on top. (The only thing missing from Texas enchiladas is the option of topping them with either chili con carne or sour cream sauce.) The fajitas are also very good but definitely not Tex-Mex (or at least like any I had in Texas). But they are also slightly different from any I've had in the more traditional Mexican restaurants. I do prefer the Texas-style fajitas which are made with mesquite grilled skirt steak that isn't sliced into strips until after it's finished cooking and ready to serve, but I still enjoyed these even if they weren't my favorite. I haven't tried anything else yet but the bottom line is that this is some really good food. I live over in Elkhart and today is my third day in a row to eat here. I will return soon.

She enjoyed everything except the sauce, which had a flavor that just wasn't to her liking, though others may feel differently. Her husband ordered the breaded pork tenderloin and was disappointed to find it was a fritter sandwich, not an actual piece of pork loin. (Think chicken nuggets vs chicken tenders.) Even so, the experience overall was positive. Our waitress was friendly, welcoming, and even let my wife practice her Spanish, which was a nice touch. Since this is a Mexican restaurant that also has tripe on the menu, we left feeling like breakfast might have been the better choice for us on this visit. They also serve Coke products and beer.

When something this bad happens, not even the food can save it.
