Went to this restaurant for the 2nd time after coming here last summer. We enjoyed the food last…read moretime but the service was very bad. We had a hard time getting our food order straight with the waiter and it took a very long time to get our check so we could pay and leave, we were 4 people. We decided to give the place another try as the food is decent, this time with 6 of us, the waiter took our order very diligently and the food was delivered fairly quickly , again the food isn't bad. The frustration begins when you want to get your check pay and leave, the waiter completely forgot what we all ordered and didn't put it into the computer, so it became a challenge for him to remember what we ordered and without asking us what we had ( not trusting that we might remember what we had). This went on for 20 minutes while our waiter and another waiter tried to find the original ticket that our waiter wrote up when taking our order, finally after another 15 minutes they got the manager Juan involved. Juan came to us realizing our frustration and asked us what we ordered, after telling him what we ordered it took another 10 minutes to finalize our bill, no apologies were given and they nickel and dimed us on every thing, charging us for extra salsa and chips , sour cream and guacamole which should have come with the meals, not wanting to argue and just wanting to get out of there, we just paid and left vowing never to come back again, needless to say the service was not only as bad as it was the first time, it has gotten worse. When something this bad happens, not even the food can save it.

The third time I went, my nachos were microwaved and only had melted queso on top. I would expect a little more to qualify as nachos- and I especially didn't expect them to be microwaved. When I called they said they would replace my meal- even though I really just wanted a refund, because they never made my food right in the first place. A couple days later I went in and asked for a cup of queso instead of a plate of nachos as replacement and they refused. I'm absolutely shocked by the terrible customer service. I would recommend La Esperanza which as much better authentic Mexican food. Taco Bell is also a better option than this restaurant.

When our order finally came out, my 2‑cheese‑enchilada platter showed up with only the enchiladas. No rice, no beans. When I asked about it, the server walked away, then turned around and basically shouted, "DO YOU WANT RICE?" At that point I just said forget it. The person with me never received her guacamole appetizer. The server never returned, no refill, no check, so we went to the counter to pay. Since we had no tickets, the cashier had to get the same server to ring us up. I mentioned the missing guacamole, and he was clearly irritated. I told him she wasn't paying for something she never received. Then he rang up my meal and STILL charged me for the full platter. I paid it just to avoid him causing a scene, but the attitude was unbelievable. I understand being busy and overheated, but taking it out on customers, refusing to acknowledge mistakes, and trying to charge for items never served (and did charge for items never served} is exactly why this place keeps dropping in ratings. Food was mediocre. Service was rude. Prices keep going up while the customer experience keeps going down. They've never corrected a single issue I've had here. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. The laminated menus were filthy and sticky as well, take some hand sanitizer.

I was raised on real Mexican food in the Southwest, and loved in Texas for many years so I know Tex-mex as well, which I don't care for. We shared the shrimp chorizo nachos which were delicious. Everything was tasty but there was no enchiladas sauce to speak of, just a lot of the cheese sauce. We were looking forward to having real enchilada sauce on the enchiladas.
