Of all the Mexican Restaurant's this one is my favorite. Everything I've tried is tasty and filling.

Totally random off the cuff stop, just after doing some google research looking for a casual spot for a Friday night meal and stumbled upon this absolute GEM! I consider my self to me a food enthusiast and being Mexican and someone who loves to cook, coming from Chicago I was beyond pleasantly surprised with this small town Mexican eatery. Decor and ambience was classic, and wait staff absolutely fantastic. Esaul was so friendly, had great energy, knew that I wanted an horchata refill without even asking. I could tell the beans were homemade, had Molcajete that had such fantastic flavor. Salsa was delicious and everything was very fresh. Whenever in town this will be our go to spot!! read more

Chips and queso were to die for. Took me right back to when I was in Guatemala! I had the frozen strawberry margarita so yummy. But warning!!! The medium is huge!!! I consider myself a pretty seasoned drink but that was too much! Tacos were ok. Lowkey needed more salt. Our server was kinda rude. I think he was having a bad night or something. I'll give home the benefit of the doubt tho. We went on a Friday night and it was insanely busy and loud. But we got sat right away which is a plus. read more

La Troje - Strawberry margarita - Mexican Near Me - Warsaw, Indiana

Food was very good, large portions and staff was extremely friendly ! Margaritas were very good very nice atmosphere read more

Always good, consistent food! A regular go to! Great service and fun ambiance also! Large space can accommodate big groups also.

Top Tier Restaurant in Warsaw. I have never ordered anything that wasn't great and their Margaritas are the best in town!

Food became subpar. And due to some reviews, I no longer go there. Place wasn't as tidy as it had been. Also concerned about sanitation.

La Troje has best margaritas in town! Hands down! Service is always good and food is great!

Great food and great service. We don't live in Warsaw, but make it a point to visit here when we're in town.

The best margarita and Mexican food I have ever had! The service at the bar was great and I will definitely be back!

Found the food to be less than authentic, bland-little flavor, more of an Americanized version, which is about par for the course these days. The salsa, however, was good and did have some good flavor, the chips another story, obviously rushed through the process, though crispy they were barely warm and a bit oily. It's become very hard to find an ethnic restaurant with authentic flavors, guess it's too much trouble to let the flavors cook and meld together, overnight if needed and in the old ways. Service was also less than it could have been. Our waiter really wasn't interested in service, at least not ours, his assumed girlfriend (they were quite friendly) however was not lacking for his attentions at the bar. Made a simple request upon completing our visit - an itemized receipt [for my accounting department, so they could see I didn't spend every cent of my client luncheon on alcohol], and he couldn't get that right. After going into an act of not understanding the request he returned with a reprint of the debt transaction, of which I really haven't any need of, I get that info from my bank before I even leave the place. All in all, in my opinion, no more and no better than a rubber stamp fast-food restaurant, without the drive-up window of course. read more

We gave it another try after several years of not going service was good. Food was good. Pricing was high. It did take a long time to get the waiter to come considering they were doing many tables. read more

Couldn't get servers attention when trying to ask for refills or chips as we watched him standing at the bar all night on his phone. Fruit Flys surrounding our table, didn't have this issue in the front of the resturant so I'm guessing the closer you sit to the kitchen the worse it is. I ordered the burrito that has beef, steak, and chorizo. Somehow each and every meat was dry and hard to chew. I like the atmosphere but the rest leaves much to be desired. read more

Amazing food, nice vibe, great selection of beers. Best Quesoedilla I've had in forever... Been many time and never ever have I been unsatisfied. read more

Food, service, and margaritas, top shelf of course, were great. Definitely going back, hopefully soon!

It's okay. Big restaurant. Chips and salsa are good. My parents ordered the chicken fajitas nachos and those were so good! I had the carne asada. Not good. The steak was fatty and tasteless. I better quality of steak would have made all the difference. Rice and beans are typical. My husband ordered the Texas fajitas. Again horrible steak but the chicken and shrimp were good. Also got a 27 Oz frozen mango margarita not much tequila. The original margarita on the rocks was good. If I go back because we were visiting I would get the chicken nachos in a heartbeat! read more

La Troje - 27 Oz Mango Marg - Mexican Near Me - Warsaw, Indiana

Got food poisoning. I know it was from here because my friend also got sick that night.

We came in a Monday night, so it was not busy at all. This might explain the undesirable behavior of one of the waitstaff. Apparently he was bored, so he entertained himself by whistling obnoxiously, pounding the back of the booth he was sitting in, and ultimately whooping really loudly. He and other waiters were loud in their conversations around the bar, and then he finished up his performance by chasing a friend of his through the restaurant. The food was great, but this guy's behavior kind of put me in a sour mood. I would give it 3.5, but I can't, so I have a 4... I'd hate to punish the restaurant for one guy's behavior. I've come here many times before and haven't had that happen... If it does, I will knock off another star and probably stop coming. read more

I see rainbows when I think of their margaritas. So strong and delish! The food was out quick and plentiful. I've never had chorizo compliment my fajitas before! I ordered the fajitas el terre. Sooooo good! I left very happy. Will definitely be back! read more

The food wasn't even seasoned.... I don't get it everything is from a can you can taste it I'm sure the chile relleno was frozen because it came as a wet sloppy mess with no cheese in it the chili is heated up salsa. This place makes good fried foods, kids meals were ok. I don't understand if this was a restaurant or cafeteria. Anyways if it's last resort. They did take care of the bill wich was the best part of it. read more

Very good food with very good service. Only thing is if you tell them it's your birthday you get a song which is nice but then they pop bags to celebrate which scares the crap out of anyone just enjoying a taco lol. But still very nice. Recommend. read more

I've been several times, and for me the standout items are anything with Carnitas or Queso. I should also add that service has always been fast, and the options feel reasonably priced. read more

First time visiting this place and will make the 40 mile trip just to come back! Service was fast, atmosphere was nice, staff was friendly and food was excellent! So glad we stopped here! read more

Firstly; excellent atmosphere - not your typical Tex-Mex strip mall joint. I mean, we are talking about Warsaw Indiana here folks. Somewhat hard to find firstime - not quite half block south and east of courthouse square. Party of 3 (incl 2 Troje virgins) on a very busy Sunday evening. [this was a fall back as we were on our way to get Chicago pizza which is closed on Sundays as it turns out] I noticed the special on the way in is nachos Carbon and dutifully remember I've had that delicious entree somewhere else previously...but where...anyhow, Standard SOP: Chips, salsa, drink orders...OMG you've got horchata! I didn't see horchata referenced in any of these reviews. NOTE: all drinks are HUGE sizes (incl margaritas and horchatas) The others chose renditions of Chimichangas [burritos fritos] while I could not get beyond the Nachos Carnitas. Yes - carnitas - insert Homer Simpson hummm and drool here. Nachos Carnitas - rich double cooked pork carnitas, almost too rich, but I'd get again I think. Chimis - steak was deemed excellent, as were the twins/Cuatas beef and chicken. Orders were very large as well. Possible to spend less than $10/per but easy to drop $12-15+/per. Overall a solid 4 - maybe 4.5. I expect to add this to the mexican rotation and perhaps work through a few other entrees. All in including tip $34 for party of 3. read more

Very tasty fresh Mexican cuisine, with generous portions and reasonable prices. The pork nachos are WONDERFUL. Have also tried the chicken chimicanga and quesadila--both were great. They do seem to be quite busy at lunch, though. They don't have a good system for take out orders. Also, because of the ceilings and open design, noise carries. Each time I've been there the music has been too loud, making it hard to have a conversation. Overall good place, and worth a visit! read more

Good food with generous portions. Margaritas are great. The only problem is the wait staff. They all hang out together on their phones. As the nite goes on they eat at tables toward the rear of the resturant and eyeball you like, are you gonna leave already. Update as of 4/15/2016,Margaritas ,still great. Food ,good taste and portions. Service ? Now the staff dresses in soccer shirts, run around the restaurant popping paper bags for your birthday and congregating in the bar area. Really unprofessional. read more

La Troje is not the typical Mexican restaurant and for that I'm thankful. No cliche mariachi music on the loudspeakers or gaudy sombreros for decoration. Instead, it is tasteful decor, cozy atmosphere, and wonderfully tasty food. Many of the menu items are what you might find elsewhere, but there seems to be something good about these. Well-spiced, balanced, good portions, and things tasted fresh. I had the cheese enchiladas and my wife ate the chicken taquitos. Portions were sufficient enough that we both brought home leftovers. One indicator of Mexican restaurant quality seems to be the quality of the obligatory chips and salsa they always serve upon your initial seating. In my experience, good chips almost always foreshadow a good meal. At La Troja, the chips were excellent and the meal followed suit. We enjoyed out dining experience. It was an excellent dining choice for a cold Warsaw evening. I'm sure we will return. read more

Had a late lunch here with some friends. The staff was nice and the service was good. However, the Texas fajita portions are on small size for the price point, as well as slightly under seasoned. And under no circumstances would I recommend ordering a Bloody Mary. Every time I go out I order a Bloody Mary as I am on a quest to find the closest to how my mother used to make them. The one I had here was 3 parts water and 1 part ice. It had no flavor to speak of, much less any spice. read more

This place is a total package when it comes to authentic Mexican food. From the minute you walk in the door there is so much going on. The attention to detail, and work put into decorating this place is impressive. We were seated right away and drink orders taken. I ordered the Tacos Al Pastor with steak, and my wife ordered the fajitas. Everything came out in a timely fashion, and our server was very attentive without hovering. The food tastes very authentic, and the salsa is second to none. We both also each ordered the 26oz Rasberry Margaritas which were....well lets just say, you get what you pay for AWESOME!;) Our bill came to roughly $58 before tip. Will definately be coming back for more. *Update* docked a star because 2nd visit, no airconditioner, extremely uncomfortable to eat spicy food when your sweaty/hot. Not sure if this was a temporary problem or they just don't have A/C. Also wait staff...particularly the younger staff were acting very juvenile and joking around and being loud while we were trying to eat. All in all probably just an off day for them. Still good food and margaritas. read more

La Troje is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town. They always provide great service along with great tasting meals. I would recommend their guacamole and chimichangas! read more

Just ok. Popular because they have plenty of seating, but there are better places for Mexican food in Warsaw.

This isn't the place it used to be. Bland food, seriously no flavors at all. Even the salsa was meh.... wont return.

La Troje is one of my favorite places in town. The service is always really good, and the food is incredible. They also have great margaritas and sangrias. There are a lot of vegetarian & pescatarian options, and they have the BEST refried beans I've ever had. read more

Great atmosphere. We had no wait to be seated. They brought us chips and salsa right away. The food delicious. The portions were large, but not ridiculous. Our food came out hot. The guacamole was fantastic and the chips were warm. My frozen margarita was perfect. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return. read more

Food was great as always, but the last few times we have been in the noise was too loud. Between the music and the microphone it was too much. If they turned it down a little everyone could till have fun and enjoy the company of their dining companions. read more

Great, upscale Mexican restaurant. In an old building downtown Warsaw. A very good restaurant called Mosaic used to occupy the space. Interior very large and open with neat decor. Neat Antique shop next door. After dinner you can stroll around the downtown area. We were there for a late lunch on a Wednesday and used the free parking on the street. I had read on Yelp about the Quesadilla Mazatlan and it was fantastic. Huge tortilla stuffed with chicken, shrimp, chorizo sausage and onions for 9.99. I took half home for dinner. Platter came with lots of lettuce, tomato, guacamole and cheese, along with rice and beans. My wife had the Lunch chicken Fajita which was 6.99 and much larger than expected as on Lunch menu. It was excellent. We enjoyed their Salsa and the waiter asked us if we wanted more and promptly brought us a second bowl. Waiter was excellent and had a big smile. We were there midweek so can't comment on service during busy times. Domestic beer only 2.50 and imported 3.00. It is served in a frosty glass. Big glasses of ice water with lemon. I don't know why many restaurants have little glasses for water, especially if you have spicy food. The menu had several $4.99 Lunch specials and also had a selection of Vegetarian dishes which you don't usually see in a Mexican restaurant. Great location, very nice interior, good service, variety of meals and prices to choose from, great food. Excellent restaurant which I highly recommend. read more

Coming from California, this restaurant is a breath of fresh air! The food is cooked well and clean, the atmosphere is well-lit, comfortable (and spacious) and fresh enough for a date or quaint family dinner. While other local Mexican restaurants tend towards heavy dressings, blandly (and accessible) prepared meat and packed houses -- La Troje has well-prepared dishes, unique entrees and a comfortable (but somewhat economical) atmosphere. This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant when I visit Warsaw. read more
