My family all showed up this morning for brunch at 11 AM with a party of 7. We were given a table promptly even though it was crowded. We all loved our food! The croissants and sandwiches are excellent. The eggs Benedict is also very flavorful. My croque madame was delicious and I especially recommend the spinach croissant. I've been here twice now and am going again today haha! (it's just so good!!!!). It has such a fun atmosphere that truly makes it feel like you are in Paris!! Tons of indoor and outdoor seating AND the outdoor seating is shaded and has fans, so even on a hot day it can be enjoyable. The staff here has been so friendly and hospitable. Good for sandwiches. Got the croq en brie. Good sized meal, but the cheese in the middle of the sandwich wasn't all the way melted. The potatoes were also a bit dry. However, pretty good food. We went after the lunch crowd so there was plenty of space to eat inside. This will be a wonderful spot to hang out in warmer weather on their outdoor patio area. This is okay if u want something from the bakery but if you order from the menu prepare to wait a hour and half. Even if bones in there. Arrived at the restaurant at 4:18pm, Sunday, August 23, 2020, to find a placard at the door stating 1) "wear a mask", and 2) "go to the counter to place your order". Unfortunately, there was no "counter" visible from the front door, or a "greeter" to direct me to the counter area, so I asked some customers seated at a nearby table, who directed me to the rear of the building. Upon arriving at the counter I quickly placed my order (one Le Classique and two La Normande salads), paid for the items, and was told that the salads would be delivered to me, and to have a seat anywhere to wait. I took a seat on the front porch, in that the weather was nice (it had just rained). 15 minutes later, the delivery was made to me, but, unfortunately, only two of the three salads were delivered. I told the server that I'd ordered 3 salads, which seemed to surprise her. She checked the receipt, and told me she'd be right back with the other salad. It took another 10 minutes for the third salad to be delivered. When I arrived home with the salads we were pleasantly surprised with the delicious, large salads. The portions were so large, in fact, that the three of us all agreed that we could easily have been satisfied with sharing two salads among us! We were very pleased with the quality, taste, and portion sizes of the salads, but are somewhat hesitant to return to La Parisienne (this was our first experience at La Parisienne) if the accuracy of the orders and the speed of delivery are not improved...Good food, nice location, and comfortable seating/layout, but service needs some improvement. read more

I expected so much more from this place. The baguettes bore not the slightest resemblance to any I ever eaten and were just plain inedible. The salads and sandwiches we ordered were also very disappointing. Goodness knows, Aiken needs a bakery, but unfortunately, this is not it. I've eaten here 6x - either I'm an optimist or a glutton for bad food. It's been terrible-food roulette and I've lost each and every time. Not only is it overpriced, it's not even fresh. $13 for a stale baguette sandwich + 3 burned, undercooked, cold pieces of potato skins. Even the croissant and the coffee were awful. Come on! Is there one thing here that tastes like what it's supposed to taste like? I give up. It does have a nice patio (facing traffic), is dog-friendly, and there's parking, so there's that. read more

WOW, I had a huge Monte Cristo. It was perfectly balanced served with a side of syrup. Syrup is never a bad thing but the sandwich was just perfect with out. Pleasant surprise. We were cruising Aikin to get a feel of the town as we are planning to relocate there. Coincidently we passed the La Parisienne, and decide to stop for lunch. Everything and truly everything we tried was very good, Mushroom Bisque soup, Jamone and brie sandwich, quiche, pastries and cappuccinos. Plus, the staff was friendly and attentive. First timer. Went in front door as sign on building says for eat-in. Waited not long for someone to see us. No problem. However, told had to go to bakery to order. No problem, I guess. Told cashier/server person it was our first time; she did offer a menu to look at (we had looked online but looked again to see if different). Order taken; ordered tap water. Gave us our silverware and our number and told to find a seat. Cool. Since it was 10:45am or so, plenty of tables available. Food came out in reasonable time but no water. Server quickly left but no water. I finally went back to the register to inquire about water and was pointed to the water with citrus slices in it next to the door. Food-fair (one spinach/gruyere cheese for me, one crepe sucre citron for daughter. omelet was okay. No one ever came back to check on us after food dropped off. Decided to check out the bakery-daughter ended up with plain croissant after her other choices were unavailable (time of day?). I ended up with nothing. Ambiance-cute decorations. We won't be back. We had heard really good reviews from friends. Maybe we hit an off day. But, for me telling we were first-timers, I'd like someone to tell us about the water and just be kind. Maybe suggest something special to try, a smile, even checking on us at our table or suggesting a bakery item or saying " enjoy your day ". Not what I expect from Aiken. read more
