I walked in. Waited 45 minutes. I wish someone would have acknowledged my walk-in and I would have asked how long the wait was. 15 people in pedicure chairs all being serviced, maybe 5? People doing nails. First impression...pretty place. Seemingly clean. I've been getting my nails done now consistently for over a year without many issues. The lady whose name I'll leave out, was nice. I waited longer than my nails took. She was just too fast. While I appreciate timely this was sloppy. A fill shouldn't take 3 hours so I didn't examine my nails too much immediately upon completion. (My fault) Then I got home and kept getting more upset. My pink nail had harden clear coat so think I had to take clippers and trim it back and file it so it would detach from my skin. My middle finger on one hands nail is so thick it's lumpy. The very ends of 7 of my nails are not painted. Long story short I stopped back today after work. Kindly explained I felt like they needed a bit more attention/filing/painted. She was busy (everyone doing pedicures) and did ask me to come back later which unfortunately I could not do. I know she would fix them but I'm hesitant to even go back. If you want a pedi this is your place. Nails seem like the back burner here. read more

Do I even have to give them a star. the girl was doing my pedicure kept getting up-and-doing things she went outside didn't even take off her gloves and she caught the biggest altitude when I asked her to change her gloves and then she half assed and rushed through my pedicure. Really disappointed with the service and quality of this nail salon. Came in for a gel mani/pedi for a friends birthday and my baby shower. During the pedicure the tech (Alex) kept walking away for extended periods of time, leaving me just sitting there. She spent no more than 5-7 minutes max actually performing this mediocre service. She was super rough and skipped half the steps. During the gel mani, it was the same. She kept getting up and walking away, spent very little time on the manicure and just did an awful job. She wrecked the skin around my nails by taking shortcuts with an electric file, was super rough, and just slapped thick layers of polish on my nails. At one point, the polish started dimpling and spreading all over my fingers. Instead of fixing it, she just threw another layer on. The machine was burning my nails and when I told her she just ignored me. I couldn't wait to get out of there. There are still smudge marks all over the nails, uneven density of polish, and I still can't get all the polish off my skin. It'll be a miracle if the gel doesn't peel off by the end of the week. Updating my previous review: I decided to try LA Nails a second time but with the request that the original tech NOT do them. I explained briefly the situation and was put with an awesome guy. He gave a complete and wonderful pedicure and did the most perfect full set. I'll be going back in a couple weeks for the same tech! read more

I went to LA Nails today for a pedicure. The sign outside of the establishment states that all clients are to wear a mask and they are social distancing inside the salon. Once inside, all clients were not wearing a mask and the social distancing was good. Initially there wasn't anyone placed one either side of me but as soon as they ran out of space to social distance, they placed clients right next to each other. As a business, it's not good to post one thing and actually do another. Needless to say, I will. It be returning. read more

This is the WORST nail salon. I have given this place 3 chances. Every single time they are extremely RUDE. The WORST custom service. They do not speak to you, they give you attitude and are extremely inconsiderate. They caught an attitude with me a few times as I was just asking about my nieces pedicure, we waited about 20 min for a 3 year old to get her nails painted. They suck at painting nails, they spent less then 25 min on my own pedicure. It's a shame how horrible of services this spa gives. Called about coming in for a fill and asked if they had availability. I was told to come in they had tons of technicians. I drove up there and was greeted and told to pick a color where I explained I wanted just French. I then proceeded to wait 20 min and I could see about four people hanging out doing nothing. I finally had someone come up to me and ask if I had been helped. I stated that I was told someone waiting on someone to be with me and was told they would be done soon. I then could hear the two individuals arguing with one another across the store about me. The second worker came back up again all disgruntled and extremely rude saying I wasn't clear and it was my fault and what did I want. I then got up and left. Just terrible! This is AFTER I went back and had them "Fix" the discoloration.... they just put more paint on. Now it's super thick and still streaky. Every time the techs are so busy talking to each other that they don't pay any attention to you and the services you are receiving. Lengthy but fair and honest review! I finally decided to try LA nails after moving to Riverview in May. Beautiful place, nice atmosphere, friendly welcome and decent overall customer service, oh and they use bags in the foot spa basin.. However, that's all the pros I can provide. I walked in right at 9:30, was in the chair by 9:40 and was done with my $30 pedicure by 10:01. First off, they have an extremely out dated and minimal selection of nail colors (regular polish). Secondly, my nail technician used tools that she just pulled out of a plastic container. They were NOT in a disposal sanitation package. Also, she used a drill...why is that necessary when you could easily use a low grade nail file? I didn't have anything on my feet that would require using such an unclean item for a basic pedicure. Ok, I paid $5 for callus remover only to find out they would be using an ILLEGAL cheese grater. This is completely Illegal. ‼When, clipping my cuticles (yes, I admit...I may have had a slight ingrown nail) which can be a tedious job to remove, my nail technician caused me to bleed on both of my big toes. I get that MAY happen sometimes, but she kept going. I then asked, should we paint tomorrow because I do not want to get infected. Of course, she said "no, you'll be fine, it's just dead cuticle" wrong, dead skin doesn't cause bleeding, cutting live skin does. After panicking in my head for a few minutes, I then asked for her to put anti-fungal solution on the cuts...she then did it. Why would I even have to ask if you know you have it? Lastly, there was only lotion put on my legs and a quick 20 second massage on my legs ONLY. My feet were NEVER massaged and mind you, I asked for someone with strong hands upon arrival. Nope, no foot massage given here at all...basically no massage, just slight leg rubbing. My legs were not wrapped with a hot towel. She simply grabbed 1 towel and slightly rubbed both legs with it and then placed it over my legs (cold) until she was done. So, that was my experience. I will be purchasing more anti-fungal solution and maintaining it to ensure I don't end up with an infection. I truly am scared of that. But, this was my open and honest review. Yes, I am a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Florida. I have been doing nails at an upscale salon for the past 2 years (until July). I only do hair now, so I'm still sad that I can not find a clean and thorough nail salon for myself. I unfortunately won't be back. read more

SAVE YOUR MONEY! I went there today and got a manicure and a pedicure. Not even 24 hours and my nails are chipped already and I have done nothing but sit at home and not to mention it's shellac!! It took over an hour to get someone to start my pedicure which I understand it was a Saturday and it was busy (at 9am). The lady arrives and does not say one word to me the entire time except when to get up and move to the table for my nails. When I'm spending $65 (including tip) I mean I expect at least a how are you, or thank you so much, NOTHING! It is very frustrating and I just feel like they do not care at all. I was extremely disappointed in my service. I used to be a regular customer and a loyal one. The owner Anthony was amazing and always made sure I left feeling like I was number one. I had to stop going to the salon due to I moved from Riverview to Brandon but whenever I am in the area I always go back. This time I was in the area visiting family before going on a vacation so My mother in law and I went in and unfortunately had my 6-month-old son with us who is usually so quiet and well behaved. When I was asked to look for nail polish I felt rushed so I accidentally dropped the bottle on the ground and it smashed all over. I asked to clean it up but no one bothered to give me anything so I told the owner who ended up cleaning it. I felt horrible and kept apologizing. As I'm still deciding on a color, Finally a woman who would be the one doing my nails came to ask if I needed help. I told her I wanted a very light pink almost white color. By the way, is the color I have been getting for 10 months at the salon I go to by my House and love. She starts to tell me the color I wanted was to light and if I went with that color she would have to do many coats. That I needed to choose a darker color which is NOT what I wanted at all. The woman grabbed a book of colors and told me to pick from it. None of them had any of the light pinks I WANTED. The Moment she started to begin my service, My son was acting up and she immediately started to get annoyed because I did have to stop to fix my son. I admit I should have never brought him but it was the only chance I had to get my nails done before my vacation. Once I got my son to calm down she didn't even cut my nails down or give me a proper manicure at all. She got so mad because my son was crying that my mother in law asked if she could get her nails done and when she was finished she would take the baby and let me get a proper service I was paying for. She said yes so attend to my son and waited for my mother to finish. Once My mother was complete She grabbed my son and left the building so I could get the service I was paying for. WELL, She never gave me a manicure. She just painted my nails and left nail polish all over my fingers. She didn't give me the message. SHE DID NOTHING BUT PAINT them and it looks like my three-year-old niece did them. I was so pissed that I had asked her to fix it and she said NO You are all done. I didn't know my mother already paid her 30.00 for a manicure and a 10.00 tip which by the way my mother in law handed her before she left. IT WAS THE WORST TREATMENT I HAVE EVER HAD. I understand I shouldn't have had my son but that doesn't mean I have to be treated like I was trash. I would have never paid 40.00 for a crappy paint job that didn't even give me the proper manicure even after my child had left the building. VERY POOR SERVICE. THE WOMAN WAS RUDE, MEAN AND practically stole 10.00 from me. She couldn't even be bothered to remove the nail polish off my fingers. My fault for bringing my child but when my child left she should have started over and given me a proper manicure like any other customer. I've been having my nails done here for 7+ years (I also went to the previous store before the new LA nails was open). Anthony has always done my nails and done and absolutely fabulous and consistent job. In fact, I moved out of the area 2 1/2 years ago but I still make the drive to come here to have my nails done for just that reason. (It also helps that I continue to work in this area). The shop is immaculately clean, well organized and very popular with and the location. I would recommend finding a nail tech and making appointments versus trying to walk in due to the number of people being serviced at the salon. read more

Interesting that a couple other reviews here mention an argument happening during their visit. I went in on a weekend recently and witnessed the same thing happening. A nail tech yelling at a customer about accusing her of something. It was all so unprofessional and management seemed to do nothing about it other than calmly say, "take it outside" after a few minutes had already passed by. I don't know who was in the wrong and I don't really care. It made me very uncomfortable. This was after I had two different ladies work on my pedicure and then abandon me in my chair with toe separators still in. Charged me $25.00 for a super-basic pedicure and 1/8 of my big toe doesn't even have polish on it. The most frustrating part is this seems completely typical of most nail salons and I will continue my search for someone and some place decent. read more

I was in the area visiting friends for a birthday and decided we would all get pedicures this morning. There was only a 10 minute wait when we called, so we got in the car and headed that way. Well, after my 13 minute pedicure, I now know why there was only a 10 minute wait. The owner did my pedicure and took exactly 13 minutes from start to finish. The massage consisted of lotion-ing my legs and adding a hot towel. She then moved to one of my friends and did both of us in the them it took another tech to do another pedicure. Went in with two friends for a pedicure. Lily, the owner started a pedicure on my friend. Her pedicure lasted 13 minutes. She then moved on to my pedicure. Rushed through it, no massage. She finished two pedicures in the time it took another nail tech to complete one pedicure. If you are into super fast pedicures, this is a great place to go. The place was definitely nice and clean but the manicurist I had was horrible. She will not do as you ask and when one of my polish was messed up I asked to wipe off and put new polish on but she kept polishing over it hoping to fix it. Then it got really clumpy that she had no choice but to wipe it off. Even after it was done, she didn't even clean around where nail polish was all over my skin. Do not waste your time on getting a manicure with regular polish. They only stand behind their gels. Less than 24 hours later and the regular polish is lifting everywhere. When I went back I got handed off 3 times and they were speaking to eachother in their own language which is never good. Chastised by all 3 saying they don't guarantee regular polish. But 21 hours for $20. You have got to be kidding. The third person half assed touched them up and they looked like crap. I was so disgusted I didn't even tip her. I wish I liked this place because it's so pretty inside and convenient to home but, today my mom and I went to get pedicures, I got the signature which was $40 and included some exfoliation and hot stones. This was the roughest pedicure I've ever had, my shins are killing me from having a hot stone smacked and rubbed forcefully on them, there was no care taken to not rub this thing all over my bones instead of on muscle/soft tissue. The exfoliation was so rough my skin is bright red and raw. I'm not one to complain while I'm getting it done so I just gritted my teeth for the duration of it. The way they trimmed my mom and I's toes was also painful, my mom had to let the man know not to cut into her toe on the sides, the woman doing mine was the same way and I've never needed or had the wall of my toenails clipped in like that, she peeled a piece back and just pulled on it until I flinched and told her it hurt. Now my toe is killing me. Honestly I don't feel like I have very high expectations for pedicures, I go to relax and have my toes painted, this was the first time going somewhere where it was painful and unpleasant. I literally feel like I have shin splints. :( to top it off they're having the customers wear masks which is great but half the staff isn't wearing masks, and the tool used to take calluses off of the feet was put back into the basket with a lot of other tools after a quick rinse in the water my feet were in. They used several different products on my nails that all do the same exact thing and put one coat of color on and said I was done. I told them I could see my nail still and they said "well the colors light". After 2 coats of me fighting them for another it finally looked like a real manicure. Gave this place a second chance but wouldn't recommend or return. First visit experience was so-so although i broke two nails and my gel polish was chipping even before two weeks, i decided to give it another shot.... To make the long story short: -Nails were chipped and broken both times just over a week or so (gel and acrylic) -Toes chipping before two weeks and bf has to file and cut his own once returning home after "Vip" pedicure, which didn't include extra massage he was willing to pay and beverages weren't offered as included -Made appointments and weren't seen on time, we were late to show we had tickets for -Returned to have broken nails fixed and polished changed (again just over a week of having them done) to be told it'll be $30... kept being told get a fill... which i shouldn't have needed after one week and already spending $35 on before, which i did not want to nor had the time to sit there for. Then AGAIN told get the fill it's only $32... again did not want, shouldn't have needed yet, and didn't have the time -Nails were broken again and chipped after a short time with no apologies or offering to compensate for... then hassled about getting more than wanting or needing and charged ridiculously for -Ended up leaving with mismatched lengths and widths and half the polish on some nails because tech had attitude... but still charged read more

First I asked the woman how much it was for a fill for acrylic and she said $28 which I stated that was pretty expensive and her response was "it's because we are new". During my pedi she was more focused on her conversation with the other employee next to her than doing my toes. I was there almost two hours which is extremely long for a fill and pedi. Lastly, when I paid I did tip her 18% which she didn't even deserve and when she took my receipt she rudely snatched it and turned to walk away. Not a thank you or anything.
