Three of us arrived at ten in the morning and were quickly sat for our pedicures. While getting a great pedi that included a foot massage, the girl started my manicure. We were in and out of there with mani's and pedi's within an hour and 20 min. The workers were fast and efficient and I love this, because after long hours at work all week, the last thing I want to do is spend hours in a chair on the weekend. The place is designed beautifully. I loved the atmosphere and the setup. My nails are now 3-4 weeks old and still holding up. read more

Consistently have a good experience at Prive. From the moment I walk in, I'm greeted by a friendly and professional young man. The inside has beautiful decor and updated finishes. Everyone I've gone to is professional and friendly to the point where I take whoever is open to do my nails. I normally get gel polish (Coca-Cola red). I like the location, how modern the shop is and the prices are good. With non-basic service, they offer wine and sodas. Definitely recommend giving them a try. read more

Wife wanted to get some pedis for her bday. Nice calm and relaxing. A bit ticklish so I skipped on that scary knife shaving death nightmare looking thing as soon as it touched my foot I was like "yeah no thank you". Lol but very soothing and a nice experience. I'm gonna be honest idk how it rates to other places I don't really do this much so I don't know where the bar stands. But in my experience here it was very nice! read more

we had an 11:30 appointment today we were on time they didn't have anyone available to service us. They left us sitting in the water for over a half an hour. Still no one was available. So we left!! very bad service. read more

They cut me, made me bleed, it's not close to what I asked for, I couldn't even realize how bad they were shape wise until it was too late cause I was never given a moment to check the shape before even painting them and then I had to leave immediately after for an appointment, not that they even asked what I thought until I already had to pay. Had the audacity to ask for $100 for these things. Now I have to make sure I don't get an infection because of how many cuts were left around my fingers. read more

Hybrid on fingernails was good. Not great but good. Ann is part owner and very nice. I always ask for Ann but have only had her a couple of times. Someone else always does not pedicure. This time it was awful! The man did not speak English and was horrific! Water was cold! And he dug so deep around my toes I had to pull my foot away 4 times! Then he began to use a seater like instrument on my feet. He hurt me twice and again I pulled my foot away and told him to stop hurting me. He continued and this time dig into the back of my ankle!! It bled! And hurts! Ann came over and said she'd finish my pedicure but I noticed she had another client so I said no I was done! I got a small discount on pedi which I feel I should not have had to pay for at all! Was never asked if they could see my injury and was told they would make a note so I wouldn't get him again. NO ONE SHOULD GET HIM AGAIN! Everyone acts like they are doing us a favor and not like we are paying clients! Very upset! I'm done with this plac read more

Prive Nail Lounge - Achilles heel, awful pedicure! - Nail Salons Near Me - Riverview, Florida

My experience here was uneventful. I got a basic mani and pedi with no problems or concerns.

My little one had her nails done for the first time and had a good experience at Prive. I have never had my own nails done at a salon so I had no idea what I was doing or asking for.I described to the front desk what my daughter was looking for. I was just told to pick colors from the wall. I asked a few questions but I'm not sure if the gentleman at the front desk knew the answers to my questions. Not to worry though. Once Ann came to get us she was helpful in explaining what would take place for what my daughter had wanted. She was gentle and quite talented with her design. I will not lie, I had warned my daughter beforehand that what she wanted may not come out the same way as it looked in a picture she found online. I was wrong and it actually turned out even better! I will return again in the future!!! read more

Have been going to Prive for several months now and Katie does a FANTASTIC job every single time. I have done a hybrid gel manicure and gel pedicure and both are amazing. I have been coming here for about a year and was sat with a new lady last week. I was getting acrylics taken off and she had my entire hands sitting in acetone for almost an hour. I kept asking how much longer and she kept checking them and just said a little bit longer a little bit longer after 15 minutes I complained to another worker. a few days later, my hands have been completely shredding off all the way to my fingertips. I went back into the nail salon to show them what they did to my hands and they gaslit me and told me it's not from the acetone, it must be my cooking. read more

Aside from the wait, i had a great time‍ had the mystique (i believe) pedicure. They even poured candle wax / oil on my legs. Felt like a very elevated experience was very shocked to see such negative reviews after having such a great experience myself. 5 stars, no notes read more

I took my daughter here to go get her toes and nails painted. We arrived and first thing the guy does is ask what kind of pedicure she wants....my daughter is 5 and I explained no thank you just a polish change. Then she picked 3 colors and he brought back only 2 of the 3 correct colors she chose. I let it go and when it came time for "a design" he tried putting white polish over a pale yellow (it didn't show up) I expressed it wasn't visible and to forget the design on toes, we will just do it on fingers...he ignored me and continued the other toe. I had to actually get the owner to explain to him what I said not once but twice. The overall experience was extremely rushed , not enjoyable and frustrating. Will not be returning. Should've just trusted the 2 stars this place has. read more

I have never had a bad experience at this salon, I have been going here for about a year now and will never go anywhere else. They honor their appt times and the only time I ever had to wait it was about 10 minutes and they let me sit in a massage chair and checked in on me after 5 minutes to give me an update. They are quick, kind, accommodating, and do a fantastic job, plus I have never seen a cleaner salon. I went to a new person today and they went above and beyond to give me a design free of cost just to be nice after some good conversation. 100% would recommend this place to everyone - even after bringing my boyfriend here he has gone back himself just to get pedicures because he loves it here now too! I don't have a yelp account so I'm using my husband's. Leon did my nails. It was dip with gel on top. He literally did my entire set in 20 minutes. I went with a friend who started before me and I finished 20 minutes before she was done! Didn't think much of it till after a couple days and my nails began chipping on the ends. I went back to the salon and they fixed the two nails that were chipped. Then a few days later, same thing happened to the rest of them. Leon did 2 coats of dip and 1 coat of gel and called it a day. Now I have been going to this salon since they opened! Never had an issue. When I went back the second time I said I just wanted it removed because I didn't have time to get another full set. but I thought they should give me a discount for my next set. Eric got someone to remove my color that was left. As a went to talk to Eric about a discount he proceeded to tell me I needed to pay $15 for the removal! Are you kidding me? He gave me this song and dance about how I needed to give them a chance to fix, I did the first time I was there! He then told me he'd give me a discount of $5. I was like so you want me to pay $10 to take off color that you put on incorrectly? How does that sound to you? He then said ok then I will not charge you and that is your discount. I told him I didn't not agree and left! For something that was clearly done incorrectly (which Eric admitted it was not done properly) and then to charge me to take off the bad job and not discount me on my next visit is outrageous. Thanks for nothing, Tabitha read more

Extremely disappointed in my visit today, usually always happy to come to Prive. I have been a customer for two and half years and never have been treated like I shouldn't even be there. Came in with my sister who is visiting me from South Dakota and we were told it would be a little wait. I wanted a pedi and she wanted a mani full set. They sat me right away, but 40 mins later my sister still isn't in a chair to get her nails done. I watched 3 people get sat before her, while she was still waiting. The lady who was doing my feet was so kind but didn't speak English so she had another lady talk to me who was absolutely rude as hell. Told me that they didn't have anyone who knew how to do acrylic full sets that's why my sister was still waiting and then ignored me after that. So my lady must've been able to tell I was still upset, and got her manager, the guy from the counter, turns out is the manager. So he comes over and tells me that he doesn't have anyone in who can do her full acrylic set and that's why she's waiting and that the people who got sat before her had appointments. But we were still there an hour before the people who had appointments. My sister said one of the ladies that came in, even stated she was sorry for being late and still got sat while my sister continued waiting. Once she did get in a chair, her nail technician was also rude, he looks to be maybe in his early 20s. I wish I could remember his name, but every time she spoke up about not liking something, HE ROLLED HIS EYES. Not to mention, the original design she asked and showed a picture of, he couldn't even do a simple nail design, so she chose not to do it. We honestly didn't even want to pay for anything because of how we felt, but we still did. I didn't leave a tip. We weren't cared about at all. Not by staff, and most definitely not by management. And I'm 1000% sure they purposely overcharged us on some things. Her mani is literally orange gel with a white French tip and he charged $20 for a nail design. After being a loyal customer for all these years, the place has definitely gone downhill, especially with giving proper compassion with their services. If you don't like your job, then find something else. I will never ever come back or recommend any of my friends to this place ever again. $144 dollars later was a complete waste for how we were treated. He was so rough with the nail file (dirty file) that he cut my sisters skin multiple times, I am a cosmetologist so I know that this place is also so unsanitary after my visit today that it's repulsively disgusting and they are not following the correct procedures. I will be calling the state! read more

Pedicure are suppose to be painless. I asked for an aromatherapy pedicure $47.00 and told the gentleman no gel polish. Owner tried charging me $60.00 also knowing what his employee did to my foot. I said how did my bill get to 60.00 he said I had gel polish when I didn't. He said I can give you 10% off. Are you kidding me?! Common sense I guess is not common. honestly i am really surprised at how pricey this place is for what i got, all i wanted was a full set with a french tip and ended up paying $75 which is absurd to me.. i've never been charged for having longer nails or asking for them to shaped anything but square.. overall the nails look great but definitely not worth $75.. also used a really funky acrylic color that did not match that i was ALSO charged for EDIT: yeah, i'm really unhappy.. i got my nails done 4 days ago and i have 2 that have fallen off and the rest are lifting.. That was $75 + tip down the drain. Really upsetting read more

First time visit and will definitely return. While waiting to be called back, I was offered a variety of beverages from water, soda, wine, and even daiquiris. The staff was friendly. The environment is relaxing and they offer a variety of service. The place is very clean as well and appears sanitary. If you like the pedi baths with liners, they use those too. I had the pleasure of meeting Viv.. The negative comments are far from the truth based on my experience. It is policy to wash your hands when you enter. I think hand washing is needed and reinforces clean experience. Viv greeted me with a smile. Talked to me about services, and she did her thing with my Nails. I wanted bling and she did what needed to be done. I highly recommend Viv. Do not let the negative comments deter you from receiving an excellent nail service. read more

Went in to Mani / Pedi. Pedi was fine. Mani great. My friend had the complete opposite experience, painful clippings and pinching during mani and pedi and the nail tech didn't soak off the old nail product before starting her new set of dip nails. Chunky nails and when brought to the manager's attention he said that my friend should've said something. Before the color was on and I adviced Eric that she did speak up to the nail tech and Eric said well if he doesn't speak English you need to tell him to stop and come get me at the front. I asked if my friend would come back at a later time and sit with the nail tech I had named Dylan desk 4 who did a wonderful job. Eric said no they don't want to do her nails. I felt bad that my friend was experiencing this and still paid $40 for her nails & $40 for her pedicure. I paid $127 for coffin nails and $40 pedicure .. at least my original nails had been fully removed and not stacked on old nails that didn't get cleaned and soaked off. Disservice and this business stood on business when it came to money first. A damn shame! Vibe ruined. Can't return to a business that isn't functioning in the priority of the client. I went for a simple fill. My original acrylic set was done with colored acrylic powder (most salons are hip to this) but for some reason this was confusing to my nail tech. Instead of asking questions, he drilled my nails way too thin & it was downhill from there. Long story short I left with dips in the middle of my nail due to lumpy/uneven acrylic. My polish was also bubbly, nails were shaped uneven & some just flat out not coffin. By the next day 3 of my nails had broken off right in the area that was made too thin. read more

OMG LIKE SERIOUSLY??? How are these people in business ?! So I found this place and despite all the bad reviews they have, I decided to give it a try. I call to set up an appointment and I could already tell from the tone the lady answered the phone it wasn't gonna go well. I asked her if I could please have a lady do my pedicure (because that's my preference) and she starts questioning me why you want a female? What's wrong with a man? I said because that's my preference and I feel more comfortable with a lady doing my pedicure . She said everyone good here and when you come if a man is available you get a man and kept going on and on in a disrespectful way. I told her "this is already not stating well, bye" and hang up the phone. She calls back twice then leaves a voicemail. See picture below. I am speechless!! No wonder all the bad reviews!! Rude rude We decided to go to this place since it was pretty close to our houses. When we walked in, they hand us a menu like, and we picked our service. I asked if I can choose my nail color, the lady pointed out a mail ring ( is like a whole bunch of different color mail with a number) I responded oh no thank you I don't want gel, the lady uff and puff, kind or almost rolling her eyes and very condensed said is not gel just choose your nail color ( really was all that necessary?!! ) and as my friend was asking about a color the lady cut her off and greed the next people that walked in. Last time I went here, I had Stephanie do my nails and they looked amazing. Today I went in to get a full set because I figured they would all do good like Stephanie did and I showed Vivian the reference picture and she said she could do it. She then got mad at me and told me I know nothing about nails and that she has to charge me again and continues to be rude. I'm pretty sure she's the owner of this place so she should care a little more about her reputation.
