Consistently have a good experience at Prive. From the moment I walk in, I'm greeted by a friendly and professional young man. The inside has beautiful decor and updated finishes. Everyone I've gone to is professional and friendly to the point where I take whoever is open to do my nails. I normally get gel polish (Coca-Cola red). Three of us arrived at ten in the morning and were quickly sat for our pedicures. While getting a great pedi that included a foot massage, the girl started my manicure. We were in and out of there with mani's and pedi's within an hour and 20 min. Hybrid on fingernails was good. Not great but good. Ann is part owner and very nice. I always ask for Ann but have only had her a couple of times. Someone else always does not pedicure. This time it was awful! The man did not speak English and was horrific! Water was cold! And he dug so deep around my toes I had to pull my foot away 4 times! Then he began to use a seater like instrument on my feet. He hurt me twice and again I pulled my foot away and told him to stop hurting me. He continued and this time dig into the back of my ankle!! I have never had my own nails done at a salon so I had no idea what I was doing or asking for.I described to the front desk what my daughter was looking for. I was just told to pick colors from the wall. I asked a few questions but I'm not sure if the gentleman at the front desk knew the answers to my questions. Not to worry though. Once Ann came to get us she was helpful in explaining what would take place for what my daughter had wanted. She was gentle and quite talented with her design. I took my daughter here to go get her toes and nails painted. We arrived and first thing the guy does is ask what kind of pedicure she wants....my daughter is 5 and I explained no thank you just a polish change. Then she picked 3 colors and he brought back only 2 of the 3 correct colors she chose. I let it go and when it came time for "a design" he tried putting white polish over a pale yellow (it didn't show up) I expressed it wasn't visible and to forget the design on toes, we will just do it on fingers...he ignored me and continued the other toe. I had to actually get the owner to explain to him what I said not once but twice. The overall experience was extremely rushed , not enjoyable and frustrating. Will not be returning. I have never had a bad experience at this salon, I have been going here for about a year now and will never go anywhere else. They honor their appt times and the only time I ever had to wait it was about 10 minutes and they let me sit in a massage chair and checked in on me after 5 minutes to give me an update. They are quick, kind, accommodating, and do a fantastic job, plus I have never seen a cleaner salon. I went to a new person today and they went above and beyond to give me a design free of cost just to be nice after some good conversation. 100% would recommend this place to everyone - even after bringing my boyfriend here he has gone back himself just to get pedicures because he loves it here now too! I don't have a yelp account so I'm using my husband's. Leon did my nails. It was dip with gel on top. He literally did my entire set in 20 minutes. I went with a friend who started before me and I finished 20 minutes before she was done! Didn't think much of it till after a couple days and my nails began chipping on the ends. I went back to the salon and they fixed the two nails that were chipped. Then a few days later, same thing happened to the rest of them. Leon did 2 coats of dip and 1 coat of gel and called it a day. Now I have been going to this salon since they opened! Never had an issue. When I went back the second time I said I just wanted it removed because I didn't have time to get another full set. but I thought they should give me a discount for my next set. Eric got someone to remove my color that was left. As a went to talk to Eric about a discount he proceeded to tell me I needed to pay $15 for the removal! Are you kidding me? He gave me this song and dance about how I needed to give them a chance to fix, I did the first time I was there! He then told me he'd give me a discount of $5. I was like so you want me to pay $10 to take off color that you put on incorrectly? How does that sound to you? He then said ok then I will not charge you and that is your discount. I told him I didn't not agree and left! For something that was clearly done incorrectly (which Eric admitted it was not done properly) and then to charge me to take off the bad job and not discount me on my next visit is outrageous. Extremely disappointed in my visit today, usually always happy to come to Prive. I have been a customer for two and half years and never have been treated like I shouldn't even be there. Came in with my sister who is visiting me from South Dakota and we were told it would be a little wait. I wanted a pedi and she wanted a mani full set. They sat me right away, but 40 mins later my sister still isn't in a chair to get her nails done. I watched 3 people get sat before her, while she was still waiting. The lady who was doing my feet was so kind but didn't speak English so she had another lady talk to me who was absolutely rude as hell. Told me that they didn't have anyone who knew how to do acrylic full sets that's why my sister was still waiting and then ignored me after that. So my lady must've been able to tell I was still upset, and got her manager, the guy from the counter, turns out is the manager. So he comes over and tells me that he doesn't have anyone in who can do her full acrylic set and that's why she's waiting and that the people who got sat before her had appointments. But we were still there an hour before the people who had appointments. My sister said one of the ladies that came in, even stated she was sorry for being late and still got sat while my sister continued waiting. Once she did get in a chair, her nail technician was also rude, he looks to be maybe in his early 20s. I wish I could remember his name, but every time she spoke up about not liking something, HE ROLLED HIS EYES. Not to mention, the original design she asked and showed a picture of, he couldn't even do a simple nail design, so she chose not to do it. We honestly didn't even want to pay for anything because of how we felt, but we still did. I didn't leave a tip. We weren't cared about at all. Not by staff, and most definitely not by management. And I'm 1000% sure they purposely overcharged us on some things. Her mani is literally orange gel with a white French tip and he charged $20 for a nail design. After being a loyal customer for all these years, the place has definitely gone downhill, especially with giving proper compassion with their services. If you don't like your job, then find something else. I will never ever come back or recommend any of my friends to this place ever again. $144 dollars later was a complete waste for how we were treated. He was so rough with the nail file (dirty file) that he cut my sisters skin multiple times, I am a cosmetologist so I know that this place is also so unsanitary after my visit today that it's repulsively disgusting and they are not following the correct procedures. Went in to Mani / Pedi. Pedi was fine. Mani great. My friend had the complete opposite experience, painful clippings and pinching during mani and pedi and the nail tech didn't soak off the old nail product before starting her new set of dip nails. Chunky nails and when brought to the manager's attention he said that my friend should've said something. Before the color was on and I adviced Eric that she did speak up to the nail tech and Eric said well if he doesn't speak English you need to tell him to stop and come get me at the front. I asked if my friend would come back at a later time and sit with the nail tech I had named Dylan desk 4 who did a wonderful job. Eric said no they don't want to do her nails. I felt bad that my friend was experiencing this and still paid $40 for her nails & $40 for her pedicure. I paid $127 for coffin nails and $40 pedicure .. at least my original nails had been fully removed and not stacked on old nails that didn't get cleaned and soaked off.
