It was a fairly good place. I got a set of acrylic nails (almond shape with no design) for a good price of $45. It was a cute modern style place, with a clean look. The nail techs weren't too talkative but that isn't always a negative. My girl was very precise with the shaping and cleaning of my nails. I like the look and she seemed sweet. I would go back but probably request them shorter next time. Overall pretty good and would recommend for simple quick nails. read more

Decided to go on a whim and get my nails done (but didn't book an appointment). I was seated almost immediately & I was done with my full set in about an hour. The salon was clean & my service was perfect. Even though my full set was done quickly (in my opinion), she took care of my nails very well, was very detailed, and made sure the shape & length was to my liking. I did get a small nick but that's not her fault; my skin is super sensitive and I was a little fidgety at the moment due to two cups of coffee I'd come back for sure. read more

Dropped in just to check prices, but ended up staying and got a full set of color SNS dip nails with tip extensions. The people there were patient and pleasant. The gentleman that did my nails explained my options and the pros and cons of different services before I committed. I find this to be rare. On the down side the salon was only moderately clean and updates. They are constantly sweeping and wiping, but they neglect the areas not easily accessible like the televisions. They had visible layers of dust on them which I didn't notice until midway into my service. I think if they updated a few areas and re-painted the walls, that show the 12 years that they have been established there, I'd feel more appreciated as a customer and become more relaxed for the pampering. Also during my actual service, my technician ended up tearing my skin when attempting to free my skin to skin bond after the tips were glued. I bleed, he acknowledged but did not apologize. He also abraded my skin on other nails during the shaping and smoothing processes. I realize that an occasional nick or abrasion can/does happen during a nail service, but a open wound is more serious. My nails look fair, not bad and not the best I have had. Over all I like, not love, them. I think I would be more upset or critical of I had chosen a more permanent nail service like a set of acrylics/gels which need a great foundation for refills; and use more chemicals that would hurt the nicks and cuts I obtained. The dip nails are essentially soaked off so I can start new in a few weeks; after my wound heals completely. Not angry just disappointed. I do not plan on going back here right away, but don't rule it. There are not many local nail salons open on Sundays that do SNS nails, but will look to see if I have a better experience elsewhere. read more

Go somewhere else. Thick/gloopy, uneven job, the edges are rough, ignored my cuticles, rushed through while taking two calls on her cell phone so she could move on to the next person. I don't expect a lot from a manicurist.. but being able to do nails better than I can myself is one of them. If I could peel these off now I would. Avoid and go to Iris down the street. This place is the worst. My Gfriend has been going here and winded up w fungus after going faithfully for years. On top of that they have horrible customer service, rude and unprofessional. They have an attitude as if your bothering them being there. I did get my nails done here prior to my Gfriend getting fungus and my nails starting lifting a few days after. Seems after my nails got wet they were lifting. Please guys save your money this place is not worth the money spent. These prior reviews are people who were asked to put a review up and they would give them a few dollars off the service. I use to go to Hollywood Nails, but was told from my family member that since they moved their prices have increased and they did not do as good of a job as they had done in the past. Hearing this information I decided to give LA Nails a try since they were new, in a convenient place, and had reasonable prices. It was my first time going to the salon and my first impression was that everyone was nice and everything was clean. However... I chose my polish and was immediately able to be seated. The girl who did my nails was very nice and paid great attention to filing and cutting the cuticles. I did notice that she did not seem to fully understand how to work the pedicure chair's water temp control or what she was suppose to do next during the whole process (it being a new salon understood/maybe because of the different pedicure options or she just started in this profession? - not sure). I can say that she gave my legs a nice massage, probably 5 minutes per leg which was longer than I have had done before. She did a nice job polishing my toes and had gone back to file and remove extra polish she got on my skin. Another lady came to put a flower design and then applied a top coat. When it was time to pay, I was told it was $25 when I was under the impression it was $20 for the pedicure + $3 for the nail art as described in their menu. I didn't say anything as I was planning on playing $30 total, just preferred that the girl who did the work got more of a tip. Upon getting home to take a closer look at the job that was done, I noticed that there was still some dead skin left on my feet near my toes. This may have been because a brush was not used all over my foot like I have had done before (although she did use a pumice sponge for my callouses on the bottom only). I also noticed that a few (3 or 4) of my toe nails were not buffed down to be smooth at the end - this being because she only used a nail buffer once to help file one toe rather that on all of my toes, which again, I have had done in the past before. Overall, this salon is OK. The price is pretty competitive compared to other salons around here - though I did have the issue with the total cost being different from what was mentioned in the menu. I spent $30 total which I would expect for a pedicure with tip around this area; however I have had a much better pedicure done for about the same price and would be willing to spend the extra money to get to done to my satisfaction. I will go to other salons to compare them to here before coming back. read more

New salon and management at this location, it's very different than the previous business. Cons- The nail technician needs a lot more training on even the basics. It seemed like several steps were skipped as well - such as no nail buffing, rough/uneven filing. Spotty paint work and my nails were left uneven after being cut. Overall, very bare bones. This place was recommended to me by a neighbor when I moved in close by. I was in a hurry (to get to a rehearsal dinner, and even told the tech that) and she proceeded to take her good ole time. The gel top coat was not put on completely, leaving space on the left side of EVERY SINGLE NAIL unpainted with top coat. When reporting this to my neighbor who recommended the place, she said "you have to go to kristy". My experience was simply horrible! I didn't have a problem making appointment, the woman on the phone was friendly. Salon itself seems pretty. There my positives end. I came for mani-pedi. Right in the begging the guy tried to convince me that I have to get gel. I said I don't like gel, I'd rather get vinylux instead, but he was pushy. Then while I was trying to pick very limited vinylux colors, he started doing my mani while I didn't even had a chance to take off my coat. I came with a coupon from the local paper $30 mani-pedi combo. I looked over on the pricing list, and guess what that's the price as it is :)I asked what's up with that? He started mumbling that the owner just changed the prices... yeah, right! I can overlook everything happened before, but when I saw the quality of work he did with my nails, I was really upset!! I had to refile them myself in front of him! My cuticle were rough, he even screwed up painting my nails. Anyway, long story short while I was drying my nails all I wanted is just to leave that place, so I said I'm not gonna have pedi done... you got my award of THE WORST SALON EXPERIENCE EVER!!
