Unfortunately, the ice cream was super soft, so we had to eat really quickly to stave off disaster. Not sure if it was the hot temp outside or they didn't make the soft serve less soft. Either way, it was delicious. I noticed that they have food, including tamales, on their menu. I will see about trying the tamales at another visit. This is a great neighborhood gem that gets you cool on a hot day.

I'm really glad she did, because I ended up finding exactly what I wanted. The vibe inside was on point really clean, colorful, and just the right atmosphere for a dessert spot. Martha made the experience even better with her great service. My ice cream hit the spot no complaints there. The only minor downside was a drink my wife tried; it had seeds in it, which threw off the experience for her a bit. Still, we'd definitely go back.

I also got mini pancakes drizzled with white chocolate, Nutella and topped with bananas and strawberries. Both were so yummy and the perfect amount for a quick snack For dinner, I ordered the al pastor sopes platter with rice and beans and felt like a meal my friend's Mexican grandmother would make! What blew me away most was how fresh everything tasted, coupled with the large portions. The tacos and tortillas are hand made (hechos a mano) and that made a world of a difference. I love supporting small businesses because you always taste the extra love your food was made with. I've frequented Que Taco and after learning that the family owned, mother-daughter duo are the same owners of this place, it all made sense. They have a very friendly staff and I would definitely recommend to family and friends who are in the area!

After a few samples, I landed on the coconut ice cream, and I was so happy with my choice! The ice cream has actual coconut shavings mixed throughout, and as someone who LOVES texture in my ice cream, the coconut-to-ice-cream ratio was perfect. You get plenty of coconut in every bite without it being overwhelming. I ordered one scoop, which honestly felt more like two, and had it in a chocolate-dipped cone covered in almonds. SO good! Between the creamy coconut ice cream, coconut shavings, chocolate, and crunch from the almonds, there was a little bit of everything going on. There's also a great outdoor patio with plenty of seating, which made it the perfect place to sit outside and enjoy my cone on a summer afternoon.
