My husband and I were looking for frozen yogurt, and we came across La Michoacana. When we walked in, we were greeted by bright, warm colors. There were no menus available. There were three screens above the service area that were blank, so I'm guessing this is where the menus normally are. After checking out the flavors, I got two scoops of ice cream in a waffle cone. I got the chocolate chip and the mint chocolate chip ice cream flavors. These were the biggest ice cream scoops I have ever seen. They easily gave me six regular scoops of ice cream. The flavors were very rich and sweet, exactly what I was looking for. You get a value for your money. The parking lot is a pain to try and navigate. There is not enough parking for all of the businesses. When we left, we were blocked in by someone double parking to use the convenience store. The food and service are pretty good, and La Michocana comes highly recommended.

Actually, this is a small chain store through running throughout Illinois. I always enjoy their popsicles and specialty dessert. Try out the corn with the mayonnaise and spice since that is fantastic tasting. Enjoy some chips with cheese as well. It's worth your time to pay this place a visit and go with a friend. The wait to be served is worth it so patiently wait your turn since this is your downside. Go on a weekday so you will be served quickly.

I always visit this store. The food never disappoints. It's always clean. The customer service is always nice. I have never had a complaint about this place.

We are so glad we stopped by on our way back from dinner. We stopped in at 8:30pm and there were about 5 customers ahead of us. With a couple workers and most orders made fresh, you can expect to wait in line as we did for about 20 minutes. Hubby got the yogurt ($3.99) mixed with fresh fruit pieces and sprinkled with a mixture of granola, raisins and coconut flakes. This is so good, I would definitely get it again. Next time, I will ask for more yogurt as I felt the ratio of yogurt to fruit favored the fruit. My youngest got a couple scoops of mango ice cream ($1.99). That has to be the most delicious, freshest mango ice cream I've ever had. My oldest got bubble gum flavored paleta de agua ($1.89). I had the mango paleta de agua with the tamarind stick ($1.89). The worker we talked to said they make all their ice creams and yogurt in house.

The kiwi-strawberry popsicles are amazing. This is THE place to stop on a hot day. Cheerful and delicious. Yay!!

Listen how many standard ice cream places use real white sugar? NONE! So this ice cream tastes great and good portions.

If you're parked along the drive-thru line, it can be hard to get out of the spot with all the cars lined up behind you. Most of the time people are decent letting me back out of my spot, but there's always a few cars who just won't leave an opening. Service is always super fast, no matter how many people are in line or waiting. There's a few benches so seating so you eat there. It's always brightly lit too. I've been there with a long drive thru line where cars are backed up on Rand Rd., but don't let that deter you from going- the car line moves super fast! Just pull up the menu while you wait so you know what you want when an employee walks up to your car to take your order. Speaking of the employees taking your order - they are all super friendly, they have a smile no matter how hot or cold it is outside, and they're so patient waiting for everyone to order. I think they must have a kindness, happy, friendly detector because this Andy's has all the nicest people working here. Even the people at the window and walk up! You see them working it together in harmony inside as they make each order. It is an impressive team, no matter what time of the day we go and how busy it gets! They work like really like their job AND each other (I'm kinda jealous!) The frozen custard is so smooth and creamy. It's perfectly flavored, we get the vanilla and have tried the chocolate which is decently chocolatey! They don't skimp on the toppings either. If anything, hubs says there's sometimes not enough ice cream to balance the amount of toppings. Service is excellent. Frozen custard is excellent. Wait time is great. Definitely a must go for dessert!

I had no idea by looking at the descriptions and from reading the Yelp reviews it looked like you couldn't really go wrong with any of them. I suggested to my son we do a taste test and he was game. We ordered 6 churros, which was all their flavors with the exception of the hazelnut since he has a nut allergy. As for dips we chose the dulce de leche and mexican chocolate ganache. Within the hour they were delivered in a pizza box and smelled so good. Unfortunately, the squirrels smelled them too and ate thru the box within the few minutes it took me to get to the door. While they only got thru some of the box I didn't want to take the chance of rabies so had to order again! This time I was waiting for the grubhub delivery driver (ordered directly thru Yelp) when he arrived. No churros for the squirrels, although there was plenty to go around because they are huge and gorgeous! They all kind of tasted the same to me- and all good! The Berry White (covered with fruity pebbles) was probably the most unique of all the flavors, but for some reason the rest of the fam didn't like it as much. Perhaps too sweet. which I personally never mind. We had the tough job of narrowing it down to 3 flavors so after a lot of taste tasting (and very full bellies) decided on The Jane, The Mau and The Aunt Rose. Both dips were good as well, but between the two we preferred the dulce de leche. My son hasn't been too into the party planning details, but dessert is something he gets excited about so he loved this activity and can't wait to have yummy churros at his party. And I bet they taste even better when they are nice and warm, which may be a reason to eat them at the parlor than get delivered in the future. And if i do make it to the parlor i have my eye on one of their churro ice cream sandwiches that look so delicious!

As expected the restaurant is decorated in a Choo Choo train motif w/pictures & memorabilia of trains. The train doesn't stop & runs continuously so the server has to be on the ball & pluck the food off of the baskets where the people are sitting. Other than the novelty of the train delivery the food I ordered was rather bland. They had a rather limited menu. Burgers, chicken or egg salad, garden salad & BLT sandwich. This is what I ordered. I asked for an egg on the sandwich & the server said we don't have egg? What is a BLT wo/an egg. The sandwich had some thick sliced bacon w/tomato & lettuce. It came w/a small mayonnaise pack that I had to squeeze onto the sandwich. This also came w/fries. I hate to say it but the BLT was bland & tasteless. Still I finally got a chance to come here. Will I be back? Meh probably not

The store was very clean and well-stocked, I was very pleased with the selection of items for which I was shopping. When I checked out however, my pleasure changed to pure annoyance. The checker, Christopher, was less than stellar and quite frankly appeared to hate his job. I had a baguette from the bakery which was not marked (no one was around to help me so I bagged it myself). He called someone over who seamed to be a manager for a price check. I told him it was $2.79 to which he replied, he still needed it checked. So this person took my bread back to the bakery. While she was gone, he continued to ring up my order. As he was scanning, I discovered I forgot to put a duplicate item back. I asked him to please remove it, that I didn't need it. With an exaggerated gasp, he said he needed the manager. I apologized and said ok, I simply forgot to remove it. Then, another customer behind me started putting her groceries on the belt, and Christopher threw his hands up and pointed to the register next to him and said, "there's no one over there". The woman looked a little confused and continued to unload her groceries. At this point I was really annoyed and said, "perhaps you should find a job you actually enjoy". To which he replied, "just because I don't like my job doesn't mean I don't do it well." I think I said something like, I don't think you do it as well as you think you do. At this time the woman came back with my bread with a label on it and handed it to him. He sarcastically asked her for the key to void the item I didn't need and took that item off. I started bagging my own groceries so I could expedite my departure from your store. I'd like to mention, the person who went for the price check was then just standing there watching me bag my groceries (her ID on the receipt is #112). As I was paying, I looked at Christopher and leaned a little to the left so I could see his name tag. He actually turned away from me so I couldn't see it! (I found his name on my receipt.) What a miserable and sad employee. I realize this may not be a life career for him, but he is an extremely poor representative of this store.
