    Chicken paella

Ambiance was very nice and relaxed, paella was phenomenal! They had a special for 15.90€ for paella and a drink which was really worth it in my opinion! Portions were great, had some leftover! Service was good as well, pretty fast!

La atención estuvo excelente y la paella y la sangría deliciosas! Volveremos sin duda!

Great service and amazing international beer selection, including some excellent local ales. For food we tried the sausage tapas. It came with three German-style sausages, sauerkraut, and fries. The sausages were excellent but much larger than we expected for tapas. The sauerkraut was ok. The fries were fine. Very small but we had no problem getting a table at 22:00. Nice find and a good break from Spanish tapas and sangria, especially if you want good beer.

Couldn't be happier with the service at this restaurant. It is a quaint little spot close to the palace. Our server was extremely nice and very accommodating. He also made some great suggestions from the menu and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. I was very happy with my food, their black paella was delicious! I would 100% recommend stopping by for lunch if you're in the area!

Goat cheese flatbread with onions and jam on top- very good.

Very pleasant lunch after touring the Royal Palace. Easy to find on Calle Mayor. Friendly staff who conversed in English and were kind enough to teach us a little Spanish ( for ordering and at our request). Lunch items were excellent and reasonably priced. Tried a delicious Spanish beer. I'm not expert on beer but they do have a huge selection. Glad we stopped here for lunch.

overall pretty satisfied with all our dishes. the flavor of the paella was nothing special but pretty good. the ham and cheese plate portion size was pretty large and it came with bread. the salad was good but wish it had come up with actual salad and not just tomatoes.

    Artwork on the table.

I had the stewed oxtail with mashed potatoes. The gravey was rich and flavorful and complimented the potatoes nicely. I had a chance to taste some of the paella and it was pretty decent. If it were the seafood and chicken version, I think i would have enjoyed it even more. Unfortunately my fellow travel partners have a very bland pallet and dislike seafood. They have an impressive selection of beers and the televison was tuned in to the football game.

Small quaint spot for lunch... love that they gave us complimentary appetizers... the food was very good! We ordered the seafood paella and the oxtail! The seafood paella could've had more seafood, as the langostinos barely had any meat. However the oxtails were delicious!

The place is small so you may not able to find a place to sit down! I ended up sharing a table with an old lady who also came from US which was nice. The paella was good, though I expected there would be more seafood. There is a drink with the dish which was nice.

Delicious paella! It was one of the most beautiful, savory things I have had on my trip to Spain. It was a part of our tapas tour (and for a good reason). It had a crazy amount of seafood, pork, and chicken! Each bite felt complete and we were stuffed by the end of it.

Paella was piping hot and filling. Flavors were on point. Also had the ribs and it was tender and the sauce was rich and just right.

While I missed a Micky D's trip while I was in Spain, I was able to keep up my Starbucks record...but I was able to check off another tradition - visit a local brewery in every country I visit. Well, I was actually able to visit two while in Spain. YOLO. Came in the Fabrica Maravillas after spotting it on Yelp - since it was a quick (relatively) walk from our hotel. I was on a mission to connect with my good bud - Mr. Yelp Madrid, Lolo R - and this was where we decided to meet up to have a beer and catch up. Super friendly bartender that explained each beer for us and recommended the one I went with - The Dark Ale. It was fantastic. Sweet notes, perfectly carbonated and not too heavy. Their glasses are in 3 sizes - small, medium, large. The Medium is a good size as it is. 2 mediums and a small was only 10€. I also got a bottle that was €4 (50cl). It was hoppy and went PERFECT with a fried seafood plate I had it with when I got back home. Small tap room - as are all places in Spain, but they are brewing up some good stuff! Check them out! Side note - Shout out to the guy in there that was also from Fort Lauderdale and overheard me talking and immediately hollered out "FUNKY BUDDHA!" haha super nice guy, hope you find this review dude. Always nice to know my home team brewery is that well known.

If you sit outside, there is a very small markup on the tab. I sat at the bar alone, and despite being a social place where people generally go with a group of friends, it wasn't awkward at all. You order a caña (small beer) and one tapa off the menu of 22 choices. (What restaurants call tapas in the States are really raciones, smaller plates, which they also serve here.) Tapas are included free with the price of a beer. So you can drink and fill up and try different things. I had the mini fajita de pollo y verduras (chicken and vegetables), which had a slight spicy flavor I've been missing. It came with a few fries and mayo sauce. Then I quickly ordered a second (you have to order before 1130pm, which is kinda early here). Next I had the filetito de ternera con salsa chimichurri (the popular pork fillet on a slice of baguette, served with housemade potato chips). Each item is bigger than an hors d'oevres, think three or four bites. You could stay here for a few hours and be quite content. The place is bustling and the staff are energetic and fun. People gave the bartenders a bit of change (tipping isn't customary) because they do hustle between rounds of drinks and tapas. Total tab before tip: 3 Euros ($3.26 at the current exchange rate). Seriously.
