Rude Service & Terrible Food - Disappointing Start to Our Trip We came here famished and tired after a long drive to Joseph, hoping for a good meal and a welcoming experience. Unfortunately, we were met with rudeness from the moment we walked in. We had two dogs with us, so I went in first to check if pets were allowed. The first waiter was polite and said yes, pointing us to the outdoor area. But when I brought my parents in and we started walking toward the indicated space, another waitress abruptly stopped us. She rudely rattled off all the rules about dogs, as though we were being scolded. It's fine to have rules--it's the tone and attitude that were completely unnecessary and unprofessional. Need training on hospitality and customer service. Despite that rocky start, we decided to stay, hoping the food would live up to the many glowing reviews we'd read. Sadly, it only got worse from there. When we asked the server for drink recommendations, he curtly explained one option we chose was sour and then added, "If you don't like it, you still have to pay," in a way that felt accusatory and uncalled for. When we asked if they had any food options for our dogs, he laughed mockingly, making us feel judged and uncomfortable. Not exactly the warm hospitality you'd hope for in a small-town restaurant. As for the food--extremely disappointing. It looked and tasted like canned items thrown on a plate. My refried beans were cold with unmelted cheese on top, and my hard-shell taco had cold tortillas and unmelted cheese. Honestly, Taco Bell does a better job. The only redeeming part was that my father somewhat liked his dish, which is why I'm giving an extra star. To make matters worse, one member of our party felt ill shortly after eating. We love Mexican food and had high hopes for this place, but it was far below par in every way. This meal sadly tainted our first day in Joseph. As a small business owner myself, I truly hate to leave a negative review, as I understand how much they can impact a business. But I hope this will be taken as valuable and constructive feedback -- because guests deserve better hospitality. read more
