This review is for Kyle at La La Locksmith. I called La La Locksmith and was quoted $80-$120 and was promised 15-20 min arrival. I price checked one other place (Eric's locksmith) that came in at $95 flat. I gambled thinking it was an easy fix. Kyle arrives (after 30-35 mins) and immediately said it would be $120 then was unable to open the lock and suggested another method that had a 50% chance of requiring the entire lock to be replaced. I didn't want to risk it and sent him away. At least he asked first before breaking the lock! Note: Kyle is a licensed professional but he's just not a pro at picking locks. If you think your lock needs to be picked try elsewhere. I am confident in the future that La La Locksmith can improve with some more training. Thereafter I called Eric who proceeded to pick the lock in under 2 minutes. read more

I lost my car key, and I had another key that needed to be programed to start the car. The owner who has is phone coded to know whose calling said they could help me and his assistant who might be anothericksmith in the valley came out and cut one key off my key and programed both. I was a little concerned because I had not seen the keys programed the way he had done it before. The keys were done and they worked and insteD of the $185-$235 I was quoted the bill was $300. 72 hours later I stall on a hill and the car doesn't start. I have to get a tow truck to tow me 6 blocks yo my mechanic. The car turns over but doesn't start. The scanner says they key has no program, and I call this mechanic and he tells me he knows nothing about cars. I'm talking about the keys and if he doesn't know keys. I DONT KNOW! MY car is at the shop. This key guy who is suppose to be in Santa Monica and really isn't, won't go to the mechanic to correct the problem. He tells me he has to charge me again. He doesn't stand behind his work!! I am now looking at having to go to the dealership and replace the entire lock with new keys. I know this guy took a chip out of my key I never saw anything like this. I ran my friends repair shop when he was in the hospital last year for 4 months. I had to manage his shop. I had a locksmith come out several times and I saw things I witness this locksmith do, but he assured me it was correct. The keys worked, and I was able to function again until Friday which was less than 3 days later. The cat just shut down. I had the car towed, and the car turned over, but wouldn't start. The scanner code said the key had no code. We had another locksmith come out, and he worked on it an hour and could do nothing. He left. My mechanic is calling another locksmith. And if we can't program the keys, we'll have to go to the dealership, tow the car over and have them put in a new lock and key. The car was running great, and to have this happen was too much. I had to cancel my vacation and pay cancelation fees. I can't work because I need my car... I'm screwed at the moment. Maybe these guys are good for a house key , but don't use them for your car because you won't have one. Just Beware. read more

It is stressful enough when thou lock yourself out of your place. But when you lose the last set of back up keys, and don't know hole you're gonna get in to your place especially when you have security doors, the anxiety sets in. Luckily with these guys it didn't I didn't have to deal with all that drama. They were courteous, nice and professional, and got me back into my place on no time. I can only give nothing but a good review on la la locksmith. I literally ran out the door trying to rush to work and forgot my damn keys, yes meaning all my keys and the spare. I had to call around and thankfully I was able to find someone that I wouldn't have to wait the next day or later that night but in perfect timing to get me up and running and to work that day. This place was the deus ex machina to my awful night! I was moving apartments and had to be out by the following morning. While I was going between the two places, I accidentally left the keys to the new place on the counter and locked the door behind me. This was the worst possible thing that could have happened among all the stress of the situation. That being said, I looked up a locksmith and stumbled across La La Locksmith and they were so helpful! They gave me a quote and came right out to me despite how late it was, and were able to get me back in to the apartment in no time. I would highly recommend this locksmith because they are fast and efficient. My boyfriend needed to change his locks because somebody moved out and had keys to the house, so it was important to change the locks as soon as possible, since a couple of the locks were very old, we decided to have them changed. We called La La Locksmith and they arrived in a short time even though it was late evening. He changed the locks of 2 doors and changed the combination of the other door in less than an hour. He did not create a mess and the charge was very reasonable. He provided us with the extra keys. The technician worked fast, was friendly and efficient. I called back again because it was an emergency and the guy yelled at me saying not to call the number again.
