As a Realtor, I'm used to vetting contractors, so I gathered five different quotes for this project--including bids from Tytum, Progressive Heating, and Fuse AC. Airmaxx not only provided the best price quote, but their proposal was the most complete. They were the only ones who made the permitting process completely seamless, which was critical for my tight timeline. And great equipment recommendation. The Carrier 37MURA High-Efficiency Heat Pump--it's a "slim line" model, so it has a much smaller footprint than those old bulky cubes, which was perfect for my San Diego side yard. Plus, it uses variable-speed inverter technology, making it really quiet and efficient. The communication with their office was prompt and professional from the initial Yelp inquiry to the final invoice. They scheduled the work quickly, and the installation of the new Lennox furnace was fast and clean. It's rare to find a company that hits the trifecta of best price, highest quality, and fastest turnaround. I highly recommend the Airmaxx team for anyone in San Diego looking for reliable HVAC work!

The installation went smooth and passed all inspections with flying colors! Thank you to the West Coast Team for the Great service!

TIMELY- Uriel called 30 min before his arrival and then, arrived at the stated time. This is particularly helpful so I can move my bunny to another room with all of his belongings. ATTENTION TO DETAIL - I saw him place a protective cloth down on the floor before he placed the ladder and tools down. I also noticed there was a bottle of cleaner with his supplies. He cleaned the inside vents as well as the compressor on the roof. He also tied off a loose wire/when checking the air handler in the ceiling. KNOWLEDGEABLE and THROROUGH - Uriel did a complete system check and then, he sat down with me to explain what was done and why. He addressed the concerns I had about some of the prior readings in terms that I could understand and shared tips that will help ensure my system runs at its most efficient. Example: A higher MERV doesn't always mean "better" and can actually restrict the airflow. He said that for my particular system I should use a MERV10 filter and change it every 3 months. He changed my filters and then, left me with two spares to use before the fall check comes. FRIENDLY - In the course of chatting with Uriel, it came up that I might benefit from having more filtered air coming into my condo. He made a recommendation for a part that would replace the standalone room air purifier I currently use. He placed this info into the after-visit summary so I can "research it and see if it fits with my needs and finances." There was zero pressure to make a purchase on the spot. And while this next item has nothing to do with the knowledge or ability of an HVAC tech, I greatly appreciate that he did NOT smell like cigarette / e-cigarette smoke or strong cologne as I have a bunny and people in my family have asthma. Thank you, Uriel, for a job well done.

Instead, they installed an undersized 2.5-ton unit without performing a standard heat load calculation. The Technical Failure: For months, our system failed to cool. Paulson's technicians repeatedly blamed our ducting--which had never been an issue--rather than admitting the unit was undersized. The error was officially documented during our home sale when the unit failed inspection. The HOA's new preferred HVAC vendor confirmed the mismatch, leaving us to deal with the fallout during escrow. The Customer Service Experience: Dishonesty: When presented with a professional load calculation, management dismissed it, claiming I had simply "plugged it into the internet" rather than acknowledging the data from a licensed contractor. Zero Accountability: Management refused a refund, hiding behind "you signed the contract" to avoid taking responsibility for their own sizing error. The Financial Impact: This negligence cost over $8,000 for the initial mismatched installation, plus several thousand more for a correct replacement required to close the sale. There is a reason the Laurel Bay HOA in Bankers Hill no longer contracts with this company. It takes more than one bad job to lose HOA-preferred vendor status. Save yourself the $8k+ nightmare and hire a firm that performs industry-standard tests before installing equipment. Do not trust their "judgment" over actual data.

Our main points of contact were Sal and Gabe, and they were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They gave us a great price, completed the work super fast, and stayed in constant communication throughout the entire process. They made sure we were happy with every aspect of the project and went out of their way to accommodate anything we needed. Both Sal and Gabe are extremely hardworking, honest, and genuinely nice guys who are a pleasure to work with. I had a ton of questions along the way, and they always took the time to answer everything, no matter when I asked. More recently, I thought we might have had a roof leak. It turned out the issue was coming from the slab, not the roof -- but Sal and Gabe still came out immediately to help us troubleshoot. Even though it wasn't their responsibility, they went out of their way to help us figure out what was going on and what steps to take next. That kind of service is rare. I don't leave many reviews, but these guys absolutely deserve one. They are some of the nicest and hardest-working people I've dealt with, and I've already recommended them to all my neighbors. If you're looking for solar, a new roof, or air conditioning work, don't go anywhere else -- Global Heating & Air will take care of you from start to finish. We're extremely happy with everything they did.

I am happy to report that things got even better. The installation team lead by Gabe was superb. Friendly, organized, and respectful. The installation was impressive in quality and the clean up each day appreciated. Every single person was engaging and had great attention to detail. We are particular with work done on our home and can't believe that our expectations were surpassed. Thanks to Sal, Gabe and the guys.

I would consider the the plan more just prepaying certain services. They come check out AC and furnace twice a year. They now also include a plumbing inspection and water tank flush once a year which isn't a lot but convenient cuz I'm lazy. I see a lot of the bad reviews are about upselling and mention the home Depot deal. Found them through Google a couple years ago and not home Depot so I'm not sure if they send different people or what. With the plan they have been pretty consistent with calling and making sure I don't forget to do my scheduled maintenance and inspection. For a long time a guy name Justin came by the service me so they're always pretty consistent. Now it's switching over to Willie after a couple of years. For the service itself, they do take lots of pictures, explain things in details and show how your system is running objectively. They do help explain things in layman's terms if you're not familiar with it so the techs themselves are pretty good. Overall I would recommend for a customer focused experience that's pretty convenient.

The team made communication easy from start to finish. Huge bonus is they're licensed electricians too! They installed a NEMA 14-50 EV plug exactly where I wanted it using a quad 30/50A breaker solution, which saved me from adding a second panel like another electrician recommended. Getting that second opinion paid off, and having everything wrapped the same day before a holiday weekend was fantastic. They offer a 10-year warranty on parts, compressor, and LABOR! I don't expect to need it given the clean install, but it's great peace of mind and shows they back their work. I've already referred a friend their way.
