About a year ago I bought a car on CL and decided to sell it and the person who bought it found out that the vin number of the car was tampered with and the odometer was rolled back. I returned the money to the buyer. I hired Brian to get my money back from the person who sold me the vehicle and later he found out that this person owns a body shop and bought this car through an auction with a salvage title but somehow managed to switch the vin number so he may register it as a clean title. Brian tracked the entire history of the car and the person who sold it to me. A couple of weeks later we showed up to this guy's body shop posing as a buyer who wants look at another vehicle that he was selling to make sure he's going to be there and see if that car's vin was tampered too. The guy was in complete denial about the whole car tampering thing but Brian's interrogation skill was on point, we managed to get a partial of my money back and gave the guy until the end of the month to come up with the rest of the money. A little over a year ago, a family member filed false criminal charges against me to retaliate against me for confronting her about her drug habit. Once all charges were dismissed, I spoke to nearly a dozen attorneys who told me that I had no recourse in the court system. I was told because she is a woman, the judge would always favor her - meaning she was free to file false charges over and over again as she pleased. I searched for some PIs on yelp to see what other options I might have. I had contacted Brian to get some background information on a certain individual that I had hired for a particular project. The individual was well recommend and it appeared to have a squeaky clean reputation when I first hired him. During the course of the project, the individual become more and more erratic and absent and I was losing money and time. I wanted all the information I can get on the individual so hired Brian to conduct a background check. I didn't have a lot of information I can give to Brian, but he was still able to find my individual and provide me with a very detail report. A few months ago I loaned my brother $10,000 to purchase a car off craigslist-- it seemed like a good deal and legit so we bought it. A few months later, not only does the transmission die, but we find out that the vehicle had a fake VIN and a counterfeit title, and the seller had forged a fake name on the bill of sale. I had a very tough case that involved identity theft. I called Brian and his team after the thieves had taken my identity and ran with it. They went as far as trying to get a home loan with my credit! In the midst of all this they kept spending under my name with some mysterious account. This was of course insanely stressful because I had spent hours on the phone with all of my banks and nobody claimed these transactions. I tried to think of any possible cracks, thought maybe they were hacking into my accounts some how. When I called Brain I was in a frenzy.
