We suspected that one of our employees has been working for a competitor behind our backs and needed some surveillance. Brian and his team were very effective in obtaining the video that I needed to prove my allegations. It wasn't easy because the employee lied about where he lived and we first have to find him. Thanks to these guys I am able to proceed with legal action! I highly recommend LA Intelligence to anyone needing an investigation! read more

The situation that brought me to LA Intelligence was an entirely new experience for me. I've never had to deal with court-related headaches or track down individuals who lack basic integrity in honoring written contracts. I can't begin to express how grateful I am with Brian's incredible dedication and open communication in working with me to track down the shady individual in question. He was upfront and transparent with the fees and effort involved in my case. He was patient and professional in how he answered my questions. At no point did he ever make me feel stupid during the process for pursuing the individual I was in conflict with and I very much appreciate that. In a situation that is by its nature fraught with frustration and anger, I couldn't have asked for a more ideal business to work with on the matter. Brian has decades of experience and an impressive tenacity and passion for getting the job done. He and his staff were out at crazy hours, they spoke with neighbors and building staff, scoured the parking garage, ran background searches. I've been so greatly impressed with his 200% effort. Update: My situation required me to track down the individual out -of- state which Brian happily assisted me on and even helped put me in touch with process servers in the state I needed. He followed up with me regularly and was very encouraging on how to handle the procedure. In a situation as frustrating as mine has been, it's a relief to have an honest professional such as Brian Mathews to work with. For anyone new to these types of situations, you will feel very comfortable with the professional and supportive services of LA Intelligence. I'd like to give my thanks once again for all of LA Intelligence's work. read more

I have been an attorney over 30 years, handling only personal injury cases. I have worked with dozens of investigators over the years who promise the moon but rarely deliver. Brian listens to what I need, says what he can do for me, gives me the cost and he gets right to work. His results far exceed what I have been accepting as above average. I give him my highest recommendation. read more

My fiancee flew to LA for what she said was for business but I was concerned that she was having an affair with a co-worker so I hired the services of LA Intelligence and from the time she landed they had her under surveillance and sure enough they were able to provide me with the proof that my suspicians were correct. I highly recommend them when you want to know the truth! read more

I had a great experience with Brian. Very quick response, professional communication, and very helpful across the board. He seemed kind and actually thoughtful, and compassionate regarding my situation. He went above and beyond in helping me, provided me with far more information than I expected. Knowledge is power, and although many of us would rather NOT be in a situation where we need to use services like these, they are occasionally required. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Brian again. read more

LA Intelligence definitely lives up to its 5 star rating. I'm an attorney and needed a background check. I emailed the company this morning and Brian promptly got back to me. We then spoke by phone so I could give him further details. He was patient and easy to talk to about the situation. Once I sent him the additional information he needed to run the background check, he sent me the full report within the hour. Brian also had been conducting another search prior to mine and included an additional service for me at no extra charge. He is a stand up guy and I will definitely be using LA Intelligence again for any future background checks. read more

My mother's business was robbed of $13,000 in cash and the police were not willing to do anything to help us out. The only evidence we had of the suspect was a single eye witness. Feeling as if we had run out of options, we made the decision to work with LA Intelligence. Brian and Tom were extremely kind and professional throughout these stressful times. They were able to retrieve video footage of the suspect entering/leaving the office and even get a general idea of where the suspect lives based off the little information we were able to offer. As of now, we were unsuccessful in locating/arresting the suspect, but we feel much more assured now that we have a face to look out for thanks to Brian and Tom. I would definitely recommend LA Intelligence to anyone who is in need of investigative services. read more

People! do not rely on internet background check websites. they advertise for cheap price but won't give accurate information. I used two websites and wasted my $20 dollars and ended up finiding " nothing" After i reviewd yelp i decided to work with Brian. He was professionally licensed and he only needed minumum information to tract the person i needed to find. He did awesome job in less than 20 minutes and updated with everything by calling me what he had found.. He even considered me as a student and gave me discount.. He could search and tract everything...Hire him if you need to find out anything. BTW everything is confidential!!!! read more

Contacted LA Intelligence for a business investigation and I'm very impressed with their service and level of responsiveness. Brian has excellent communication and gave us all the details we needed. I had an extremely positive experience and HIGHLY RECOMMEND LA Intelligence! They literally saved my parents several hundred thousand dollars, as they were the unknowing victims of a scam perpetrated by a con artist who was very convincing. I had a very bad feeling but couldn't convince my parents to do their due diligence before investing. When the scumbag asked for more money for 'phase 2' of the scam, I was at my wit's end and sought out help. Had I known that this experience would be so straightforward and simple I would have hired them much sooner. I chose them because they have been around since 1990, which is something I look for in a company. Additionally impressive was the fact that the vast majority of their reviews on both Yelp and Google are outstanding. Now that I have worked with them, I completely agree with those positive reviews. This was my first experience using a private investigator and if I have further need in the future I will not hesitate to call them. The investigators have very impressive backgrounds, and I felt like I was in very good hands from the beginning, and all the way through until the case was wrapped up. They were efficient, effective and I felt that the price was reasonable (which was something I had been concerned about before I reached out to them.) In addition, they were very clear about what it would cost and what the variables might be. They were honest and up front and did not overcharge. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

I hired Brian and Tim after a burglary at my house. With their help and very proactive attitudes, the criminals were identified in a few days. unfortunately, sometimes the legal system doesn't work the way we expect and there are many limitation on how police can investigate a crime case. However, once you have a professional private investigator, you may be able to to identify these criminals in most case. LA Intelligence folks are professional, honest and aggressive. you will be in good hands. read more

I had a complicated issue where I was a victim of car title fraud; basically, I bought a car with fraudulent VINS from a private seller and contacted Brian to see if he could help me track down the individual and receive restitution. Brian was able to do a simple search on the phone number and got a hit on exactly the guy I was looking for, which is great, because I did not have this guy's real name (he gave me an alias). This has got me alot closer to finding some restitution in this case. Thanks Brian. read more

I was fortunate enough to once again hire Brian Mathews to help me with an insurance case that was very complicated and required skill, patience, and a thorough knowledge of the insurance industry and its practices. Brian followed up on every detail and uncovered details about the driver who hit me. He was able to help solve my case and bring it to a successful conclusion. I would recommend Brian to anyone needing an experienced and capable private investigator. Thank you. read more

Brian Matthews and John Park were successful in recovering my stolen property! They were accommodating and professional, highly recommeded!

I am currently involved in a small claims case suing the defendant for less than $2k due to a breach of contract. The amount was insignificant therefore I was reluctant to file a claim, let alone hire a private investigator, yet it was a matter of principle--I was motivated to end his scam spree to prevent future victims so I filed a claim. Taking matters into my own hands, I tried to locate the defendant but learned that all info the defendant had provided were fake and I could be dealing with a regular scam artist. I came close to giving up and that's when I decided to try a private investigator as the last resort. I found Brian on Yelp, called him, and together came up with a way to serve the defendant without having a physical address. Brian went out of his way to serve and even mailed the proof of service for me. Thank you!! read more
