Outdoor Complete Stucco Repair, Prep, Prime & Paint: We had a wonderful experience working with LA Home Contractor for painting and stucco repairing the exterior of our two-story, 2500 sf house. Imagine saying that about working with a contractor! We had gotten 5 separate quotes, several of which were more than double LA Home Contractors' quote (no kidding!). They are fully insured, including workers' comp (several of the other contractors lied to our faces about insurance). LA Home Contractors showed up on time as promised and were detail-oriented in the prep, painting, and clean up. They were very patient with our nit-picking ways, always responding with utmost courtesy and patience. They showed up on time, worked Saturdays, finished on time, and were completely professional throughout. We strongly recommend them. Purchasing Completely New AC - Heating System We were so delighted with the painting job that we also contracted with LA Home Contractor to upgrade our AC and Heating unit. Again, they were very responsive to our wishes, not just selling us what they had in stock, but ordering the larger, more expensive unit that we wanted, at what we know was a very good price. Removing our old unit and installing the new main outdoor compressor and the heating blower were all accomplished in a day, they even installed the Thermostat model of our choice that was compatible to the new AC System. We strongly recommend them for your Air Conditioning needs, as well. This is truly an outstanding Company with a fabulous Team. We are planning on hiring them to rework our pool, outdoor fire place and all our bathrooms! read more

We hired L.A. Home Contractor Inc. (CSLB #1027193) for a full project that included roof replacement, patio cover repair/paint with new aluminum roofing, gutters, and two window replacements. While we were initially satisfied with the roof, a neighbor later went up on it and reported several "soft" spots where plywood should have been replaced but was not. The patio cover work was especially disappointing. The wood was painted without any sanding or proper preparation, visible staples from a previous birthday party were left in place, replacement boards were installed misaligned and loose, and many boards cracked or split due to poor screw placement. I personally gave the company the benefit of the doubt and even questioned whether my 72-year-old mother had been too rash in her criticism. However, after coming to the house and seeing the work for myself, it was clear the quality was unacceptable. The issues appeared to stem partly from incompetence, but even more so from a clear lack of care. The work felt rushed and thoughtless -- as if the crew simply didn't care about the final product. The project was significantly delayed with inconsistent communication, and tools were frequently left lying around the yard (including in the rain) for weeks. When I raised our concerns with project manager Adam in the aftermath while trying to figure out what went wrong, he was hostile and dismissive, even going so far as to blame my mother for "leaving for her son's house whenever they wanted to come do work." By that point she was already long over it, and like many older homeowners, she had started retreating from the situation when she became unhappy with the delays and quality. Because of the substandard work, we terminated services before the windows were started. We have since requested a refund for the patio portion and the unperformed window work, but the company has been slow and unresponsive. We will now have to hire another contractor to properly redo the patio work, making this entire experience a complete waste of time and money. It is worth paying a bit more for reliable, specialized contractors rather than jack-of-all-trades companies that operate like door-to-door sales operations and are not particularly good at any one thing. Based on our direct experience, I strongly advise homeowners to avoid L.A. Home Contractor Inc. read more

Amazing experience remodeling my entire house with La home contractor, Asher was amazing and made sure I got value for everything

I will never work with this unprofessional company that just takes you for a ride and never finish the work they promised, no communication with the employees and have to do the supervisor role myself. Would never recommend this company to nobody i Would rather do the work on my own. They tell you they send workers that don't show up and there value is not to make customers happy. read more

**UPDATE** I really want to stress to everyone, if you are looking for an honest and reliable contractor please STAY AWAY from LA Home Contractor. On Monday, Nov. 15, over the span of almost 2 hours we went back and forth with Liz who was now handling our project. I will also add that the owner Asher never once got on the phone, but sat in listening on the call. We were told that Asher responded to our emails and upon reviewal of the forwarded email all he did was email his response to himself. Liz said it was a "silly mistake", isn't that convenient. Here are a few things that also need to be addressed: 1. We were only sent our allowance check after the conversation we had and the review we left. Up until that point we have received no communications regarding the final. I would hope a company would take more initiative in refunding their customers, but clearly, that was not the case. On top of that, we were also told that they would send the check if we removed our review. 2. I would love to hear who told you that we were so happy with our final remodel, especially considering James Fitzgerald never had the decency to show up on the final day to check out the bathroom. Also, in this conversation with Liz, we were told that James Fitzgerald is not an owner of this company. It's very clear that intimidation is part of this companies customer service. We were also never tipping our workers frequently. The honesty of this company is slim to none. 3. LA Home Contractor loves to make it seem like they are doing you favors and going out of the way for you, but that's simply not the case. So once again the only reason they now decided to send someone was because of our initial review. We never demanded anyone from this company to come, we told them initially that we didn't want anyone from there to do any more work at our house. The only reason we agreed to have them send someone was to actually see what they would do to fix it because we had already consulted with other companies as to what the work would require. We spoke with the worker, who we already knew, and he told us that he was there because Asher was upset with our review. He himself even told us it wasn't a small fix. We were never rude to him or treated him disrespectfully. We only told him that we did not want to have him work on the bathroom, especially because it was already almost 3:30 pm. We have lives, and if you appreciate your time and patience please STAY AWAY from LA Home Contractor. read more

LA Home Contractor built an additional dwelling unit in my parents house. The process was easy, the team was very communicative and answered every question we had from beginning to end. We are very happy with the work, currently we are using it as a guest house and plan on renting it in the future to help my parents with a passive income. My parents are very thankful that I connected them with LA Home Contractor and we would definitely reach out to them again for future remodeling! read more

I've been searching for a reliable, honest, contractor for years. Seems 80% of these guys are great at tearing stuff down and taking money but never finishing the job. Asher and his team BLEW ME AWAY. Seriously, my wife and I could not have been more happy with the work and the professional communication we received. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company. We've done major renovations in the past and have been "swindled" by guys cutting corners and nickel and diming me along the way. I was overly cautious this time when interviewing contractors. I interviewed 5 or 6 people this time. I got Asher's name from my Real Estate agent. After speaking with some recent clients of his and walking him through what I needed, I was sold. I needed to gut the interior of our newly purchased 4BD/4BTH home. We needed new floors, new kitchen, new master bath, new powder room, new windows, doors and interior finishing on the fireplaces and a few other details. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, however Asher was extremely transparent on what was possible for my budget. Never pushy, never trying to upsell me on anything. Just very polite, knowledgable and supportive of my vision. They always went above and beyond. Adding little details and polishes just because they wanted everything to be perfect. Redoing things (as there will always be something that doesn't line up) was never an issue. They corrected any problems without issue. Taking responsibility and pride in their work. I was very involved. constantly checking their work and asking questions. They never made me feel like I was pestering them. In fact they appreciated it. Better to call stuff out early, then to wait until it's too late and be unhappy. It got to a point where they could anticipate what I wanted and my standards and were showing me little extra's they added to surprise my wife and I. If we ever hit a snag, Asher, Francisco and I would brainstorm a solution together. Always mindful of the budget and communicative if we were going above what we agreed upon. It was the ideal experience for this type of work that you can not DIY. You need experts and these guys are nothing short of it. My wife and I are so proud of the job LA HOME did. I am excited for the next project we will do together. Thanks Asher, Francisco and the team. read more

Asher came and gave me a good quote for my bathroom. He wasn't the cheapest and definitely not the most expensive however he performed all the work he said he would. He is not some sleezy salesman just trying to get your money. I told him I wanted a very luxurious bathroom and he drew it out and gave me the a 3D design of what it would look like. Now I'm not computer savvy by any means but I looked at this design and my exact words were "You can do this, here" he said YES, absolutely! I said here's the deal, if it looks exactly like this, not only am I giving you what your asking but I'm going to give an extra 1000 as a bonus. Just unbelievable! As far as workmanship, being on time, cleaning up, and my bathroom is freaking fabulous. read more

LA Home Contractor was hired to remodel my family's bathroom and everything about the experience was a nightmare. The project which we were told would take 3 weeks ended up taking 5.5 weeks. James Fitzgerald, the project manager, could have cared less about the final remodel, because he never even showed up to check the work was done. We thought this would be an easy project with no headaches, for our house that has been in our family forever. But, it only ended up causing our family more stress and headaches. I hope this helps anyone who is considering hiring LA Home Contractor. read more

REPEAT CUSTOMER! This is the third project LA Home Contractor has completed for me and I could not be more satisfied. First was the complete inside remodel of my home, then a theater in my basement now the total exterior. They have transformed my entire home. Mike was the project manager this time and working with Francisco they delivered everything i asked for on time and on budget. We hit some snags of course, but every time the team found a way to keep me happy. Every member of the team take so much pride in their work. It's always done to perfection and if not, they will always work to make it so. I am so thrilled to know these guys and would recommend and re-hire them for any project big or small. Thanks again for the amazing work, Asher! read more

Asher and his team replaced the wood flooring in our entire house, remodeled the master bathroom and refitted the master closet. The team did a really good job and the standard of work was high. Everything turned out great! Communication was good initially with regular updates from Asher, but got a bit more challenging toward the end of the project when there were several project managers involved but no-one really being accountable for some of the final finishes. However, I would still recommend L.A Home Contractors. read more

They did quite a bit of work for us. Kitchen and bathroom remodel and an ADU. They were clean, easy to work with the prices were competitive, by no means the most expensive or the lowest. I hired LA Home Contractor to help remodel my parents' master bathroom. I got a lot of estimates from different companies in the valley, but ultimately went with them because of their price. I also really liked James, the person who came to do the estimate. My parents were impressed with how quickly the bathroom was done and none of us had complaints after the work was done. We're already talking to them to remodel my cousin's kitchen. Everyone who works here is nice, even the girl who we first spoke with on the phone. read more

My Mother who just turned 65 had a serious roof problem that needed to be corrected before the rainy season comes. Her Roof is 20 years old and had leaks in the rear. I found LA HOME CONTRACTOR through Yelp, I reached and requested an estimate. After speaking to Johnny, I set up an appointment and they came promptly and professionally, with no pressure. We choose to sign, with James because of his thoroughness in explaining the the plan. My mother's roof is now fixed in record time and we are pleased with the outcome. Asher and his crew installed a new HVAC system and new windows in our home built in 1977. John went over all our options and picked out the perfect products for our home. And the installations only took 1 day and did a very great job. We are so proud of our home now. Looking forward to utility savings in the future. Both the HVAC and the windows exceeded my expectations. Its was one thing to see them in a brochure but after the installations were done, WOW. They kept us informed about when the installations were going to happen and was always available to answer our questions anytime. So I rate them A+ for customer service and professionalism. Don't go to the big box stores and suffer through sub-contractors they use. Go with LA Home Contactors. read more

During the initial estimate, Tomer was very clear about the process, what to expect, and when to expect it. Throughout construction, Tomer and his crew were courteous worked quickly, and did a great job all around. Patrick came over and gave us an estimate to paint outside of house. Asked him for a couple of addresses of homes they have done. He only gave us one, 40 minutes away, and just got back. The house was being painted in the inside. I wanted to see examples of Outside trim and stucco. Big waist of time and gas. :( ............. Two days later...after Amita called me. She left message that most customers dont want people "driving by" their houses...but she had pictures she could show me. and for me to call her back. I can take pictures of nicely painted houses too! I am sorry, any outside painting job, should have references. Probably would not knock on their door. But seriously if I had my house painted by a company, I wouldnt mind if someone was interested in my thoughts. This just does not sound right to me. Will avoid all contact from them. Guess they are not proud of their work. sad read more

Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. They built an ADU for my property which floods every time it rains. Further the slab wasn't smoothed properly and so the lumps and dips caused the flooring to chip and crack within a short time. Ive contacted Luba and Asher but they keep making excuses and even though the contractor, James, did eventually come out and told me the floor should be covered by warranty, Luba and Asher have stopped returning my calls and are no longer responding to my email. If you want cowboy construction with a meaningless warranty and terrible customer service, these folks are perfect. Otherwise, stay well clear! read more

What a mess of a company! I reached out to them thru yelp about some work that needs to be done at my home before covid hit. The guy came out to check out my roof but forgot his ladder. After a search on yelp and Angies List I decided to try Avi from LA Home Contractor. The reason I chose him was because he was available to start the job right away and gave me the best offer . The manager came, and at the door you could tell he didn't want the job. Not a real good poker face. They had been told it was a remodel of a small bathroom. Misleading..... Ernie, John now James Fitzgerald ? you are NOW the third project manager why haven't we heard from you until now? You stated in your reply "customers are not happy with our service we will do everything in our power to change that." What have you done for us? You haven't reached out to discuss any of our complaints or problems we are having. We were told not to call anymore and to call the laborers. In fact... last we heard from John was when he called to ask us to remove the Yelp review. Nevertheless we were never told of a "Tricky" attic space, when the insulation or proofing was installed. As to your response about Client availability? Come on! This has been a HORRIBLE situation and a NUISANCE dealing with the Rodents and your company. We have made ourselves available 24/7 Mr. Fitzgerald don't speak about a situation you don't know about first hand. read more

LA Home contractor did an incredible job with our 420 sq foot ADU. They were communicative, efficient, kind, and hard working. We enjoyed getting to (safely!) know everyone who was in and out on the job. They used quality materials, and brought our vision to life just as we imagined it. They do not cut corners. Everything is done correctly and built to last. It is bright and airy, feels quite spacious, and has an abundance of character for such a small space. LA Home Contractor started the project of 2 bathroom remodeling potentially whole house and we were waiting for the permit to be issued but turned out there was no plan submitted for the permit to be issued. He made us pay for plans we never saw and collaborated. They started the job without the building permit and took over 50% of payment for job that hasn't even been half-way done. The work they started was very poorly done. We have to hire other company to finish the job and it cost us double. They never refunded us the money for the work they were not able to complete. I advise you to stay away from this contractor. They get some of their workers from Home Depot. read more

Josh was our project manager. After meeting several different contractors he was the easy choice. He was professional and the price was right. Our attic had old insulation. They removed it,Vacuumed and plugged any holes critters could enter then put in new insulation and an attic fan. Our kitchen ceiling was literally falling in and they removed plaster and put in dry wall. They also installed a new light and range exhaust fan. For our bathroom they put in vertical copper plumbing and new shower head, handles, and bathtub faucet. We were very specific with what we wanted and they came through. We are very happy with everything. They will be our contractor of choice. read more

We have had a lot of construction done and have had a lot of bad experiences, in the past, with contractors. We decided to upgrade our garage with cabinet storage, a new door to an adjacent room, and the laundry area. We received 4 estimates. We met with each contractor and with LA Home Contractor's Project manager, James Fitzgerald. James presented himself for the estimate and also gave us some advice. His estimate was a bit lower then the others and he seemed to be the only one who cared about our project. LA Home contractor's motto says "Small enough to care, Big enough to deliver." AND HE DELIVERED!!!! The garage looks beautiful. The cabinets that were put in are gorgeous. Every single crew member was a craftsman. They started on time, the crew was polite, professional, clean and COVID compliant. I work for a neurosurgeon, so I know about COVID compliancy. He would send us different crew members who knew their profession. When each crew came and finished their project, they took pictures of their work. We could see they were very proud of their accomplishments. When the electrical needed to be done, he sent the best he had. The drywall and paint crew were outstanding as well. James ALWAYS returned our calls the same day. If I texted with a concern, he would text me back and it was taken care of the next day, even on the weekends. The garage was completed when they said it would be. I had rented a POD and I told James that I needed to return it before a certain time and he made it happen. James Fitzgerald is a gem. We are so grateful to have met him and had his company take care of our home. LA Home Contractors can make all your construction wishes come true!! I'm sure we will hire them again, in the future, with James at the helm. read more
