Four years ago, you'll see in my previous review that i hired nick's company Innovation Design Construction, to redo my kitchen, and after all that...i can tell you that four years later, my LADWP bills have gone down 35-40%. Fixing a long-term leak in my corroded pipes, getting insulation in the walls, updating electrical panels has made my house much more energy efficient, and I can't believe how much I'm saving every other month in my DWP bills. Nick and crew had fixed all the plumbing in the house in the kitchen and guest bath, but I still had my main bathroom to finish. My bathroom sink finally failed on me, and i called Nick in. He gutted my bathroom, and found problems with the 60-yr-old pipes, so I hired him to fix those as well. Now after everything is done, I have a beautiful spacious bathroom, and I am so very happy. Thank you Nick! read more

Honestly I don't trust the reviews for this company. When they came over for an estimate, they were incredibly rude, offensive and frankly creepy. They had the audacity to ask my budget and laugh. They gave me a quote that was double almost all my other quotes. Definitely look elsewhere. read more

We had an extremely tight schedule for our 2 bathroom upgrades and they were able to accommodate it (even finishing ahead of schedule). Jonathan and Nick worked with us to resolve any issues quickly, and we are very happy with the results. Recommended! read more

Innovation Design And Construction - a patio with a fountain - General Contractors Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I'm in the process of interviewing contractors for a major repair at my home and Nick at Innovation Design was one of the folks I selected to come out and take a look at my situation. I'lll be honest, I haven't made my final selection (with all the horror stories out there, I am committed to doing a thorough due diligence), however I have to say I was very positively impressed by Nick. He was on time, clearly had the knowledge set that I am looking for, gave me what I believe to be a reasonable ROM price and best of all...NO high pressure sales pitch! If you've read this far, you already know Innovation has great reviews out there. Based on this single interaction, I can see why. Innovation is definitely in the running for my final selection. read more

My wife and I had a great experience working with Nick. He was always available to answer any questions that we had during the whole process... even when he was on vacation! He has a great team who helped us remodel our kitchen. Francisco was awesome! We decided to go with Nick because he is knowledgeable and was able to answer our questions. For instance, during the initial consultation, we had questions about removing kitchen soffits. We wanted to remove the soffits but we were not sure if they were supporting our house or "just for show". Instead of finding out during construction, Nick literally took out a hammer to see if they were removable or not and told us the cost upfront. We are already having Nick come back to help us with another project. We highly recommend Nick and his team! read more

Innovation Design & Construction (ID&C) helped my family renovate our forever home from top to bottom back in May 2017. Nick and his crew did a phenomenal job from the flooring, bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, laundry closet, painting, and up to the ceiling with crown molding. Anyone who comes in to our home comments on how well everything was completed. They did a phenomenal job! We hired ID&C for their knowledge in construction (housing codes), affordability, flexibility, financing, and accessibility. We discussed with Nick all of our construction needs, and he created a plan to complete almost everything on our wish list that was within our budget. During the renovation, we also had access to Nick whenever we had a question. He always picked up his phone which we really appreciated. Nick was also present every step of the way to make sure everything was getting done to the highest quality. His crew is one of a kind. The men worked hard every second they were in our home. Our boys loved talking to them and watching them work, and I enjoyed cooking them breakfast or buying them lunch once in a while. They became part of our family for several weeks and it was hard to see it come to an end. We are extremely grateful to have found Innovation Design & Construction. We recommend this company to everyone we come across needing any sort of home renovation. read more

I am very lucky to have found Nick and his team. We bought a four bedroom three bath house, appx 2400 sqft, that hasn't been updated since the 80s. His team was able to complete the project within our budget and 3 month timeline. They literally left no stone unturned! We looked through Houzz and other websites, had 5 different contractor bids and his price was unbeatable. We appreciated Nick's professionalism, design ideas, and ability to keep us in budget. We will definitely be using them for our next house (since our current house is perfect). Thanks Nick! read more

Nick was recommended by a neighbor and we had his company do a total remodel in a very timely manner and on budget. They handled all demolition, clean up, construction, permits and finishing in a very professional way. Will use him and his team very soon for more add-ons.!!! read more

Nick and the team at Innovation Design are amazing! We had an extended renovation period with multiple hiccups/delays that had nothing to do with the company and they were extremely helpful and flexible during a frustrating time. Our's was a full 3,000 sq ft house renovation in the hills that was down to the studs in many of the rooms and it looks like a high-end brand new house while retaining many of the mid-century elements that give it character. They took the time to explain the process and did a beautiful job, including high quality finishes that show a superior attention to detail. Nick continues to be easily contactable for additional questions and clarifications months after the job is finished. We'd 100% use him again. read more

We did a major remodel and addition of our house; basically had a brand new house built. Nick's quote was lower than any other quote we got, and we got a lot of quotes. His guys were all nice and they did a great job. Our house is beautiful! read more

I'm in the final stages of my home remodel. Before signing with Innovation and Design, I interviewed 4 other contractors. I found that Nick, at Innovation, was the most professional, collaborative, and reasonably priced. Not only did I do an extension to include a master bedroom, master bath and walk in closets, but I had them fix structural damage, add wood floors throughout, replace my roof, paint the interior of the house, replace all doors and door jams, build a pantry in our kitchen and do new stucco. The work was extensive, but I would not want to have gone through this remodel without Innovation. They were such an integral part of my design. I recommend them with the upmost appreciation for their skill and craftsmanship. read more

First of all, Nick, thank you so much for everything!!! You did an excellent job on our new kitchen and me and my husband appreciate it!!! My friend referred me to Nick, he arrived at the same day I called him, he was very clear and patient and explained everything every step of the way. He gave us fair price and I got to say, I got the kitchen of my dreams!!! I love to cook and now I spend even more time in the kitchen!!! Can't explain how satisfied I am! I thought kitchen remodeling would be more complicated than it actually was. Thanks again Nick!!! * I live in Tarzana and would be more than happy to recommend this company!!! We've used Nick and his crew for a couple projects now. He redesigned our backyard, helped us re-shingle our roof and put on solar panels. Most recently, he helped us knocked down a couple walls and reconfigure our living room and office to be open concept. His crew was very efficient, he offered great payment and financing options, and their attention to detail has always kept us going back to them. We will definitely continue to use Nick on future projects down the road. read more

Just finishing my second full house renovation in 3 years with Nick and Innovation. When you use the same contractor multiple times, I think it speaks for itself. All the crew at Innovation are spectacular at their jobs; thoughtful and considerate to boot. EXCEPTIONAL workmanship-- I cant say enough about the attention to detail. I have completely gutted two homes with Nick and I am grateful to be able to trust a contractor that took my ideas and made them the design reality I dreamed of! I would hire him 50 more times but I don't want to ever move! Now I have to do an addition and renovate my pool and hardscape and of course will hire Innovation. Highly and happily recommend Them for any remodeling project. read more

5+ stars. I can't say enough good things about Nick and everyone at Innovation. He was incredibly helpful from start to finish helping me remodel a house in No. Hollywood. Communication was great, on time, on budget, totally trustworthy, calmly talked me through every detail, great design suggestions, took care of many things I didn't even ask for, genuinely concerned about the project and me, takes great pride in his work. He made the entire process extremely easy. All his guys and Faith, in the office, are terrific. Highly recommended. Thanks!! read more

Nick and his team did an incredible job on our kitchen/laundry room renovation. The entire crew was extremely professional, always on time, and did a really nice job of cleaning up after themselves each day. They also did a great job of sealing off the rest of the house so that the dust and debris could be contained to just the kitchen, which was much appreciated! As promised, the job was done on time, on budget, and they truly took the time and care to make sure everything was done properly and looked amazing. Nick even went so far as to give us an upgrade on the tankless water heater and do some additional painting that was outside the scope of the original job, at no extra charge! I could tell Nick was a true professional from the initial consult and we fully trusted his design ideas and recommendations throughout the process. We are thrilled with the end product and are so glad we chose to go with Innovation Design and Construction for our kitchen renovation. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and will definitely be calling them back in the future to do more work! read more

Nick and his crew at Innovative recently renovated my pool house/studio and their work was FLAWLESS. I can't say enough great things about this company! They were on top of everything and communication was quick and easy throughout the entire project. I found Innovation through Yelp and felt confident that they must be a good company because of the reviews. I just had a small insulation job for them to do in my dining area and a bathroom repair. Nick came over and discussed the project and the cost and they started work the next week. The crew was dependable and always on time and Nick made sure that every small detail was tended to. Nick and the crew do excellent work and I now have the re-modeling "bug" and want to use them for the many improvements that my house is screaming for. Incredible experience! My wife and I recently completed a 3 month renovation with Nick and Innovation Designs. We did a guest bathroom gut and remodel, a garage conversion to master suite with master bath, sliding doors with a tiled outdoor patio, new redwood fence and gate, consolidated two water heaters for one tankless with new plumbing and a hand full of other jobs. To say that we were thrilled with Nick and his workmen would be an understatement. From the beginning Nick stood out as an honest businessman and even nicer human. I quoted out to 7 contractors and not only was Nick our first choice, but he was also the most competitive bid. He was practical and respectful of our budget and ideas and took every measure to ensure the product was beyond our expectations. Although our project was huge to my wife and I, it wasn't necessarily huge to Nick (who does some jobs with enormous budgets). However, Nick always made us feel our home and project was his top priority, showed enormous pride in his work and was always looking for ways to help save on our budget. Nick's team of workmen were also wonderful. We became friends as they were over every day for months. They were completely trustworthy, clean and professional--we ultimately gave them the code to our house and let them come and go as they needed. We were completely comfortable and confident with all of them. Aside from finding an amazing resource in Nick we also feel we gained a friend in him and his family. We've referred him to our friends constantly as we believe he is the best in town by far. Highly recommend. Thanks Nick! --Chris and Laura read more

We just purchased a new home in December and the person we bought the house from told us what a great contractor he had who did all the work in the house and what really sold us on the property. Long story short we ended up hiring him to do numerous jobs around the house not only did Nick and his team come in ahead of schedule but he was honest quick cleaned up everything and everything turned out just as imaged. We cousins be any happier and have referred him to numerous friends since. read more

Walking near by I came across 2 signs for this company in the front yard of houses that had done remodeling. I called and scheduled an appointment, 2 weeks later Nick and his crew had completed my patio. The work was impeccable and timely, it is definitely an investment, but he provided financing options. When we finished that project Nick proposed a solar system and my house needed a new roof. I did some shopping around and talked to 2 different companies and when I compared the prices and the reviews of the other companies I decided to stay with Innovation Design and Construction. The price wasn't too much more but to me it's worth the peace of mind that the job would all be done by the same crew and no third parties. He again helped with the financing through the HERO program and the investment for solar and energy efficient roof is comfortably attached to my property tax. It was a great decision. They are reliable and dependable, I will hire them again for my next home improvement projects. read more

100% functional. 100% clean. The end product is beautiful. Friendly and polite workers. But I had to pay too much attention to the process and needed to argue and insist on correction of many details to make it proper. There was little attention to detail by our contact man, Nick. They tried to install a fixture that did not match the rest of the bathroom. I had to demand that the matching fixture was installed. The recessed boxes in the shower wall did not have 90 degree angles on the side walls. I had to demand that they be redone. The polished natural stone floor was not consistent in color or stone size. I insisted that some individual stones be exchanged/replaced for better consistency. It was eventually fixed perfectly. The new floor tile is barely in the same color family to the color of the existing tile and they tried to place light colored grout between almost black tiles. Luckily, I had charcoal grout in the garage that was eventually used. I had to pay too much attention and be insistent for corrections. If you want squared up right angles, proper color matching and any attention to detail, you had better make the effort to supervise closely. read more

We had postponed repairing our flat roof, and of course after a big storm it leaked, causing water-damage on some interior walls. Nick's crew at Innovation Design And Construction had a very competitive bid, but more importantly had a great portfolio, great references, and clearly this would be a routine job for them. Not only did they do a great job on the roof, but they also fixed the interior damage. They didn't leave until they were sure all the interior fixes on the drywall and painting were perfect, and it all rolled under the same quote (with one contractor taking accountability!). Some day we'll want to put a deck up on that flat roof, and Innovation Design will be our first call! read more

Working with Nick and his team on our home rennovation in Redondo Beach was the best decision we could have made. They deliver a truly high end product, and their attention to detail is unparalleled. I want to say that Innovation Design and Construction are by far the best contracting company. Nick and Faith are just an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only are they terrific the tradesmen are professional, conscientious, and know their trades. I had a terrible unprofessional kitchen remodel. I was stressed beyond words and found a referral about this company on Next Door Neighbor. I contacted the person and she had nothing but great things to say. I decided that something needed to be done and gave Innovation Design and Construction the job. As said I am so thrilled and no longer embarrassed to have family and friends over. Everything Nick said e.g. time frame of the job, thoroughness, was right on. This is not a paid review. Wish I could've found them before I was taken by an unlicensed contractor. Now I'm happy thanks to Nick and crew. read more

I thought my dreams of getting my bathroom remodeled were never going to come true. I had contacted several contractors to get quotes while I was in the process of re-financing my house to pull out some money to pay for the construction when I found out I would not be able to take any out. When I told this to Nick, he was so sweet and told me that he works with a bunch of financing companies and he would like to see if he could get me approved for a good rate. To my surprise, he got me a very good deal and my bathroom project has become a reality. Nick's crew are very professional and polite. They showed up everyday that there was work to do and it was always the same couple guys so I didn't have to worry about random strangers coming to my house. Any time I had a question or concern about the construction I would call Nick and he would always answer the phone or call me back. I was in the market for solar electric energy. While researching options I had several vendors come to the house and give estimates. It was amazing how most had lack of knowledge with regard to options and answering questions. When Ortal, the companies representative, arrived, I was very blunt and kurt. I said "you have 15 minutes, if Im not satisfied with your answers, your out!" I was quite frustrated with the prior companies. Ortal was professional and extremely knowledgeable. She said, Ok sounds good. I asked several specific questions to which Ortal spared me the building of value speeches and got right to the point and what options were available to me. Needless to say, the Solar was installed within a month. I just want to say that this company did an outstanding job, stayed on task, and was complete with the job within the time frame specified. Ortal was very attentive in making sure I stayed in the loop, and personally ensured that I received all paperwork personally and kept every promise made. The work was done with no adverse situations. I would recommend this company, especially Ortal, to anyone who has specific questions about energy conservation and m read more

These guys are great! Super fast, like flash. I felt like they never stopped working it was awesome - exactly what you want from a contractor. Nick would always answer my phone calls/ texts and was at the house everyday making sure everything went well. He also coached us on certain ideas and made sure that everything was done on time, to spec and with minimal fuss. He won't also promise you something that can't be done. The house looks great and Nicks crew are very good, friendly and even corrected things for us that the previous contracting company messed up - for free!! Nick is a very passionate guy, cares about his customers and I have recommended him to a few friends already. I highly recommend IDC and will certainly use them for anything moving forward - thanks! read more

We interviewed a few contractors regarding an island for our kitchen. Some were very aggressive, demanding a deposit immediately before anything was even decided, and others barely spoke English. Nick was a welcome change - patient and thorough. He stated exactly what the process would be and once we signed on he began immediately with only a 10% deposit required. He was available anytime on the phone and met us at the countertop site and his shop, where he showed us our island during the construction phase. We felt well taken care of. We went into our construction project with great trepidation, having had extremely bad experiences with contractors in the past. Our family and two dogs had to leave our home (I'm 86 years old), and this produced a lot of anxiety. It is a joy to tell you that Innovation Design met the deadline for getting us back in the house (even working Saturday because of the hardship factor). Upon return, I did not sign the proof of completion form until my family and I carefully inspected everything that was done. Everything was PERFECT, the workers even cleaning up nicely after themselves, and we found that they had replaced a bad gas line and fixed a pocket door without any additional charge. Everything came in exactly on budget and was done meticulously, and they proved very reliable, professional, trustworthy, and neat. We will be using them on another project in the near future and cannot recommend them highly enough. read more
