My family and I get take-out from here from time to time. It's also our go-to spot, either after or before a movie, at the theater located due west of the restaurant (within walking distance). It surprises me that LaHacienda has only 2.5 stars, but some of the one star reviews are more about Door Dash. Please pay attention to the reviews of their food and service. We have been regular customers at LaHacienda for many years and have never had a terrible experience. Sure, sometimes it's a little slow when they're really busy, but the food is consistently good, and any variations are due to the fact they make everything fresh with fresh ingredients. They have the same servers who have been there for YEARS and work hard to give great service, and usually succeed. In my humble opinion, LaHacienda deserves at least 4.5-5 stars. read more

I gave a rave review previously. I just started eating their wonderful guacamole & it is no more. Whomever prepared it around 630 pm on July 23rd made it the same way but this time it tastes like they poured in a tablespoon of salt. I ordered a to go drink and upon my first sip I pulled a LONG BLACK HAIR out my mouth and almost vomited. Unsanitary and disgusting.

Slow service; had to ask twice for refills. Food: I ordered Fajitas with chicken, steak, & shrimp... came out smoking as usual because it's fajitas... but that smoke was actually my food burning. Like BURNT to a crisp. Shrimp was cooked so much that I felt like I was eating Shrimp laffy taffy. Onions & Peppers was cooked to a crisp. Every bite I thought I was just licking the charcoal off of a grill. Asked for taco salad with steak & that came with shredded chicken - like a rotisserie chicken from Kroger. Had to send that back to get the steak. Guacamole was dark green. All things can be improved.. hope that happens. We won't be back, but hope your experience is better & your food is edible. My carnitas was a little dry but my Chardonnay was ice cold. Typical area Mexican fare beans, rice and pico. Service was good and the place was clean. My wife had a burrito asada e pollo - she liked it. Atmosphere is ok a little cave like. Tortillas and chips seem store bought. Salsa was pretty tasty but a little watery. First timer. The food was just like any other Mexican restaurant; nice portions, and same flavor profiles. No wow factor. The nachos were good but the shrimp are very fishy tasting. My husband and I ate there last week, had to wait for approx 15 minutes because they were at their capacity . It was worth the wait as usual. We have eaten at 2 others and they never disappoint . Mask is required to enter . The waitress was very considerate and appeared as if on que. service is always quick and food is always great. I've been loyal to La hacienda ever since moving to the area. I was extremely offended when a waitress told my son this evening he was not allowed to organize the sugar packets by color after telling her I will put them back as they were. He was not making a mess, throwing them, doing anything but simply placing in a pile by color. He was doing this because we waited a long amount of time before anyone even came to take a drink order. She was extremely rude to myself and my toddler. I come to La hacienda often out of convenience and was very disappointed and will not be back. Update: Revising my previous review bc we received such bad service. The waiter was blatantly rude to several members of my party, including my husbands grandmother (!) who was visiting us. I have never heard a waiter talk to a customer the way he spoke to us. We made a complaint to the manager afterward, who was very apologetic and said she would have given us the meal for free if she had known before we paid, but it was such a bad experience that I don't know if we'll be back. I was really surprised to see the low star reviews. We go here with the family 1 - 2 times a month and always enjoy the food. The service is usually good also, occasionally a little hectic. I've visited the place twice (I could not believe how bad it was the first time, so I had to try it again to make sure). My second visit was during the noon lunch hour. There was hardly anyone there (Hmmm. I wonder why). We were seated and forgotten. When someone finally acknowledged our existence, the service continued to be slow and lousy. When we finally got our order it was wrong. The food itself was lackluster. Our Diet Cokes tasted funny, as if the drink machine had not been cleaned or something. I placed my order at this place at 5:45 and was given an estimated delivery time of 6:20 and no later than 6:45. At 6:15, they hadn't even started working on my order. UberEats wouldn't let me cancel, so I tried to call the restaurant to see if they ever planned on cooking my food; the phone just rang and rang. It looked like someone finally decided to check the UberEats tablet a full hour after I placed my order and say "Oh! We have an order!", and once they actually made it, it was ready and at my door within 20 minutes. Our meals were at the table when we arrived which is great, however I had to flag down our server to order a drink & request some dressing. She seemed put out that I requested a cocktail & salad dressing & abruptly asked for my ID even though I am over 50 years old. She never returned to ask if I wanted another drink nor bring any dressing for my dry taco salad. I can't say that it was bad, but it also wasn't spectacular. The Guacamole was really boring. There was really no flavor at all. I ended up adding salsa to it which helped. The chips were really good as was the salsa. The service was good, not stellar, just good. We shared chicken and rice and while it tasted fine, it just wasn't great. It lacked seasoning. I guess everything was kinda "boring." As with most Mexican restaurant the place wasn't exactly clean, but that wasn't a surprise to me. I love this place. Sure it's your standard tex-mex, but service and food are great. They don't mess up custom orders or forget dishes, and the atmosphere is bright and welcoming. They're salsa's not as good as it used to be, but for the prices, it's a great deal and a good experience. Good for duos to large groups.
