We have been here several times before so was surprised not to see a previous review. The restaurant is located on the south side of Atlantic Blvd a little bit west of 441/SR7. It's in its own separate building. There's parking right around the outside. Inside is fairly small and a bit dark. Most employees speak Spanish. We have a usual order -- we get their #3 lunch and share. We did so when we came last and added on another drink. One drink is already included in the lunch. Drinks are all in cans -- and choices are displayed in front of the register. After you order and pay, they call your number to pick up your food from the counter. You leave all the plates on the table after eating, however, as they clear away everything for you. Our lunch included a half chicken. We pay a bit extra for all white meat so we get two chicken breasts with wings attached, yellow rice (you can get white rice too), plantains, and black beans. It's a lot of food. We've eaten at a number of restaurants in this chain and this one is okay. We've had better (like at the plantation one) where the chicken was roasted crispier. But this will do in a pinch. Prices are pretty reasonable. And it's good when you want a fast casual meal that is not a burger. read more

I ordered the 3 1/4 chicken with rice and beans. The food was okay, but honestly not very flavorful on its own. Thankfully, they had sauces on the side -- I tried the green one, which was very heavy on the garlic. Was hoping for a nice dinner. Did not work out here. Would have been great for the person taking the order not to be gossiping and having side conversations. Had to go back twice in line because she never added items we ordered to our order. Food was mediocre when it came. Simple good convenient Peruvian food that usually has great flavours. I think we would call this fast casual because it's not fast food but it's also not a sitdown dining experience unless they have a good futbol game on. Depending on which one you go to the ceviche is usually really good. The soups are good. Llarge portions we usually take food home. The people are always friendly. The prices are not too bad. The lunch prices are really good. They have the onion bar where you can put different kinds of onions on your meals and the sauces are delicious. You can get beer with your ceviche if you want it and of course Inka Cola. The Lomo Saltado is really good the Tallarines Verdes also very good. Even the chicken breast with rice and beans is well cooked and juicy. I have never had a bad meal and I've had some great ones. read more

Everybody knows that you have to order at the window, and then go park to wait for your food to come out. You literally have to pull out of the parking area due to where the order window is and then drive around the block to come back to park. Ridiculous. Anyway, the good was okay. Been a patron of this chain for years and pretty much always have a good experience. Recently started coming to this location and although their pricing has gone up a few dollars in the last couple of years, there's still good value here. The chicken breast has been a bit dry the last couple of visits or perhaps it's just the way they cook (overcook) it at this location or perhaps the breast have gotten thinner, but I recall always having juicy breasts with the juices seeping into the rice. Yum! Will have to go to another location soon to compare and refresh my memory. Their desserts are all tasty IMO, but I especially like their Tres leche the best. The flan is above average, but their pionono always seems too dry so I don't bother with it any more. This location has a weekend brunch menu that seems plentiful and well priced. Will need to come check it out. Perhaps other locations have it too, but I've never noticed signage for it like I did here. They also have all day breakfast every Sunday which I know other locations have as well. I wished they wouldn't charge extra for the Inca Kola with the combo deal (especially since it's a Peruvian restaurant and that's their National soda), but it's only a $0.50 upgrade. Service typically friendly and prompt. My order today was entered wrong, but quickly corrected when I noticed receipt said pork instead of chicken. Order taker just heard me wrong when I called in my order and thought I said number 5 (pork) instead or chicken breast without onions (in Spanish). I told her I didn't know the combo numbers by heart so definitely know I couldn't have said number 5. She rolled her eyes a little at her coworker before having it corrected. No biggie. read more

HUGE disappointment. I usually order from La Granja on Atlantic and have always been happy there but I was very hungry and didn't feel like driving that far from the house so I try this one and was sorry I did. I ordered a quarter chicken white I got about 1/4 chicken breast and a wing both of which were so dried out they were almost in edible. The wing was so brand and dried out that it was in edible. Next time I will take the extra 10 minute ride and go out West on Atlantic and hope that that La Granja is still as good as it used to be. read more

To be frank... actually I'll just be Charles... that's what my parents keep calling me anyway... I rate La Granja as one of the best places to stuff my face after a hard earned workout. Chicken, rice and beans and the chicken is grilled with a savory juicy flavor. You can eat clean till your full and satisfied or you can eat not so clean with fried foods here as well and crazy sugary desserts. My personal favorite is the chicken with rice and beans and sometimes I'll pay for a side of fries. A lot of places serve food like La Granja in a premium setting and that can be nice too, but getting the flavor right is another thing and that's something La Granja has perfected. read more

La Granja was highly recommended to me, so maybe that's why my expectations were so high, this is a Peruvian fast food restaurant. First the location, it's your typical fast food set up, order at the counter and lots of booths inside. The neighborhood is run down and dreary and the inside decor is pretty bad. For the food: I ordered the steak which is served with a side of white rice, black beans, plantains and a red onion salsa, it was about $12, the steak was super thin and lacked flavor, I found the food quality to be cheap and for the price I have had better quality at other places. I did like that they have many sauces to choose from and an onion salad bar which was actually pretty good. My friend insists I need to go back and try the chicken, so if I am ever in the area I may consider it. read more

I've been sleeping on La Granja for far too long. This place rocked my world. I was getting $13 tattoos in the adjacent plaza with my sister, and we had a few hours to kill and we were starvin' like marvin. My handy Yelp app told me La Granja was a few steps away, so we walked there. I walked in expecting something like Pollo and was presently surprised. It looks new inside, and when you walk in the side door the first thing you see is a display of wines, desserts, and beers. That's what I'm talkin' about. $12 for a bottle of wine? I already know I'll be back. We went to the counter and ordered in. I decided on half chicken with salad and potatoes with onions. I did not expect the massive serving size I got for barely $8. It was several pounds of food. I was so ready to go in. There is a bar set up with various diced onions, I went with the spicy and garlic. There are also a bunch of mysterious tubes with sauces, and I opted for red and green - whatever those were. All I know is they were all fresh and delicious. My meal was plentiful and fresh and super yum. Somehow I ate it all and barely hated myself after. The potatoes were cooked to perfection and nothing was greasy. I think going with such low expectations made me only more impressed of this place. This will definitely be my new go-to spot!!! read more

Anyone else find it hard to review chains, especially when you've already reviewed another location?! So, it's La Granja, you've probably been to one, but if not go right now and slather yourself in their awesome sauces. Yellow/White and the Green sauce essentially soak my entire plate of food whenever I go, and I may or may not be guilty of taking a few to-go containers, even when I'm dining in lol. Ok, so this La Granja is close to my work, and we used to come a lot. Then another closer LA Granja opened, which has since been turned into another generic rip-off La Granja, so we're back to this one. The draw of this location was always the canal in the back which has the most monster sized iguanas, although on this trip they were all in hiding. The downside of this location?! The parking is a bit funny to maneuver around and the location on the corner can make for tricky driving when you exit depending which way you want to go. Also, good news about this location is that it's still counter service, not actual servers like some other locations, so you can order your food quickly, get it, stock up on sauces and enjoy, and then have the added convenience of bussers to clean the table, so it's a win win for you. As almost always I went with my go to, the half steak combo, and skipped all the carb sides :( and got a salad (also delicious in those sauces) and enjoyed. One of the slightly pricier lunch specials at ~$10, but those looking for a cheap lunch can do so with their 1/4 chicken combo for around ~$5. Definitely one of the cleaner locations too! read more

I kind of love La Granja, but I don't come that often because of how much I like it. The portions sizes are just so large, and the food is so delicious, it's a dangerous combo. Since I stopped eating chicken a few months back I had kind of ruled out La Granja, but that was silly of me, because they have many seafood options. This trip I went with the fish fillet meal which is a fried fish fillet with peppers and onions on top as well as rice, beans, and plantains (see what I mean about the amount of food). This location you order at the counter and wait for your number to be called. The food is ready pretty quickly, five minutes or so. It is very important to hit the sauce bar. They offer an array of delicious sauces, I'm not really sure what they are so I refer to them by their color (yellow, green, pink). My meal was delicious and the fish was cooked perfectly. The portion of rice and beans in a meal is probably enough to feel a small family, and the flavors are great. The staff will come around and clear your plate when you're finished. This La Granja offers a drive through, though I have never attempted that because I just don't see their food being ready fast enough to make sense to go through the drive through, and judging by other reviewers the drive through is kind of slow. Anyway, if you go through the drive through how are you ever going to gather enough of the delicious sauces? Prices here are very reasonable, the seafood items being pricier than most other things on the menu, but for the portion sizes one cannot complain. read more

This is one of the joints you get out of bed slip into what ever is nearest and head out to. This is a semi fast food Peruvian Restaurant which we frequently haunt as a family and we have never had a bad meal. You stand in line to place your order and then wait to be called and the food is served on a tray which you carry back to your table. The Grilled meats be it Steak, Chicken or Pork and the Fried fish are all very fresh and made right in front of you, accompanied by a very healthy helping of rice and black beans with a drink and all this for under 12 bucks most of the time. I usually stick to the Chicken and the Fish and have never had a bad meal even though some of my Yelp buddies have said the steak is a bit tough! Folks this is not the Waldorf Astoria and the neighborhood is not exactly Beverly Hills 90210, so I think is we give these hard working folks a break and judge accordingly! You know this is a good joint as English is a second or distant language spoken here among most of the clients here, but the folks are all very polite and helpful and even at times help you with the menu lol. Wanted to grab something quick to put on a plate and serve..I am still in the no cooking mood. I had eaten at a place like this the day before and loved therir steak and ordered it here. To my displeasure it wasnt the same as the other place at all and it seemed pounded very thin and was very tough. Along with the steak was offered white rice and beans and 3 plantains(ya think they could have put a few more on..very skimpy). On top of the steak were marinated red onions that were tasty. All in all I doubt i would ever go back the quality was lacking.. for 11 dollars it wasnt wallet breaking but the toughness of the steak could have been tooth breaking..lol read more

By far one of my favorite granjas!! Definitely the cleanest la granja franchise that I ever been to! You get the best value for your money! Their chicken always taste delicious and fresh . The quarter chicken with rice beans. And the Lomo Saltado is a staple for my family! They also have a lot of tasty desserts . I feel like when I'm In a rush this makes a hearty good meal For my family! No fries and processed meat here. If you've lived in Florida for a while you've probably heard of La Granja. It's a smallish chain restaurant that specializes in Peruvian fast food. It's a solid place if you want a quick meal. However, if you go in expecting mexican-style food you'll be disappointed, so make sure to read their menu before you go if you're not familiar with Peruvian cuisine. This 441 location is one of the better ones in my opinion. It's got ample seating and the service is quick. When you go in, you order at a counter and then wait for your number to be called. This happens pretty quickly unless you're right in the middle of the lunch rush. You can then get your various sauces and napkins at a counter on the side, just like any American fast food chain. Appears clean and I've never had an issue here, and I've been going on and off for 10 years. Pretty safe to say they are a consistently good experience. The food itself is exactly what you are paying for. I almost always get the grilled steak lunch special. A 1/2 pound grilled steak, rice, beans, and plantains for under 10 bucks is a pretty good deal. Like I said, you do get what you pay for, so don't expect a dry aged filet mignon, but the food is quite decent overall. I do find the rice to be a bit slick and heavy, but the steak is pretty good for such a cheap price. Whatever they marinate it in is delicious. Ordered from this place and found paper in the rice. At first I thought it was a thinly sliced tomato but it was red piece of paper from a canned good or something. Then I smelled the red onions and they smelled so bad like they had it sitting out the night before or possibly longer. Very disappointing and disgusting! I took the food back and got a refund. Mmmm la granja is my favorite. The amount of food per plate is very generous. They serve a lot per plate. There food is also very tastyy. I recommend the plates of steak and rice and beef sauteed. The plain chicken and rice, beans and tostones is also delicious. The chicken is not dry, its juicy! The rice is always cooked perfect too! The people speak minimum english but i never had a problem ordering. The people are nice at this location as well. They have a variety of drinks like specialty sodas from Columbia and Venezuela.
