Wow, I am so addicted & impressed. I've eaten many tamales & tacos, but the preparation and recipes of these dishes are tremendous! The taco nopales had cactus, onion, tomato, cilantro on two small tortillas; unbelievable flavor. Each ingredient standing on it's own. The tamale was so good, this week with chicken. I also got a roasted jalapeno, chips and 3 small salsas. So delicious. At the bakery I bought conchas, coricos, and borillos; also fresh and wonderful. Who knew I could find the blissful food, that my city lacks, just one hour away

If you are craving some authentic Mexican food and homemade tortillas this is the place for you. My husband has such fond memories from this place. His family used to get carnitas and tortillas and drive to a park to enjoy their tacos. Plenty of parking right outside, situated right in front of the train station in Oxnard. It may look shady but I've had no problems when I park here. As you enter, you are greeted by the fresh aroma of authentic Mexican cuisine. A lot of patrons but the wait is not too long. Dine in or take out available. Seating accommodations inside or right outside their patio for a more intimate and brighter atmosphere. Prices are pretty great, too. I ordered 2 lbs of carnitas, 3 1/2 pints of salsas and 26 tortillas, all for less than $35. We'll have plenty left overs. The carnitas today was a little on the salty side but not too much that we couldn't eat it. The salsas hand down were the best I've had in a while. The green one is def my fave, as you can taste the different spices and citrus with a kick of cilantro. They have your choice of sweet breads- you pick cafeteria style. So good and freshly made.

Yum yum yum! I had the best asada tacos here today and bought far too many pastries and enjoyed every single one of them! The staff and even other customers here were all so friendly. Everything seemed so clean and well kept.. The inside and outside seating areas were beautiful.

Since a little girl, I've been eating/getting ice cream here. It's the best ice cream I have ever had! I have to come to get ice cream every time I'm in town!

Yum!!! Strawberry, Jamaica, passion fruit, mango

Food was super good!!! I had the pupusas revueltas and they were flavorful with the addition of the curtido and salsa. There was a good balance of chicharrón/cheese/beans but the dough itself was very thick. The pupusas were huge but very doughy. The ice cream was delicious and unique!!! I had a scoop of mango, Jamaica, strawberry, and passion fruit. They forgot to make our order and the person in charge was very kind and gave us a free agua fresca (delicious) for the extra wait.

They charged me $13 and first delivered the dish stone cold. They then took it back and microwaved it to lukewarm. Is it safe?

I've been coming here for 20 years and am sad to say that is has gotten progressively worse, when just a few years ago it was excellent. I ordered the Chile Relleno combo after being quoted $10, which is up from the previous price of $7 the last time I was here, but I understand costs have increased. There were no prices on the menu board (see pic). When they rang up my order they charged me $13, and there is no sales tax. I asked how the price was different that what was quoted and they just said, "sorry, mistake." This less then two minutes after quoting me the price. I then sat down to await the food, which I had already taken a picture of in the steam tables (see pic). There was one left, so I expected they would scoop it up in two minutes, as there were no other customers. After ten minutes I looked in the steam table and the relleno was still there. I queried to see what the delay was and they seemed to realize they had forgotten my order. After another ten minutes, during which some customers did come and go with their food, they finally brought out my order. I took it to a table but noticed the bottom of the foam plate was stone cold. I checked the temperature of the relleno itself with my finger and it was also refrigerator-cold. I brought it back up, as obviously they didn't give me the hot serving from the steam table, which was still in its pan. They apologized and said they would bring it out heated. They came back a few minutes later and it was lukewarm at best, although the rice was now much hotter. I started to eat it and began to be concerned about the food's safety, as it wasn't heated thoroughly. I ended up dumping much of it and leaving. I didn't want to be confrontational and am hoping they read this review and take serious steps to restore their previously good service.

Great that they're open late even though their meat, deli, and bakery counters may be closed. They still sell meat, baked goods, and food though. Just no worker at the counter. Pharmacy was also closed but it was late almost closing time. It is great there is drive up and pick up, as well as handicap parking. Lots of parking in the plaza so no worries about that. They did a great job thinking about accessibility as their cash register line also has an accessible aisle for wheel chairs with more space in between. There are multiple shopping cart returns throughout the parking lot. Their wine and alcohol aisles just got upgraded! They now have a wine cellar. Looks super nice. Great variety. The fresh produce Is super fresh and always organized. Great deals on the meats however, their seafood is not great quality in my opinion. It is awesome the Starbucks inside opens late and early as well! For any late night work grinds or early morning coffees. They also have a public restroom at the front of the store turning left near the deli and hot foods section. During the day they have a worker at the flower counter helping with bouquets and gifts. Great service!

The produce appeared to be better quality than I have seen previous weeks at Aldi and Walmart Neighborhood Market. I picked up several items to make a chicken stew and the prices seemed comparable to those other mentioned stores. A bag of carrots was $1.99. Russet potatoes were $0.99/lb. Yellow onions $0.99/lb. Fresh bunch of Italian Parsley $0.99. Chicken legs were $2.29/lbs. Then I decided to check out the fresh breads made in store. I picked up 2 Artisan Sourdough loaves that were still warm and steamy in the bag for $1.99 each. Some things were obviously more expensive even with an advertised member price like Tillamook zero sugar smoked sausages that I love. I just picked up the small package at Target on sale for $4.99. Vons wanted $5.99. Since it was about 8:30am on a Saturday, there were only a handful of customers here when I was and no one in line; so I was checked out quickly. Nice shopping experience and I will have to come back again at a time when I don't want to be bothered with large crowds.

The tamales tasted pretty good, my only gripe is that some didn't have as much filling compared to the masa, and there wasn't much shrimp, I had to poke around to find it. Whats neat about this farmers market is that it's actually local! Most of the goods are from Oxnard and not a random town thats hours away like other markets. The market had many more booths than I was expecting after reading the write up. They had a mix of food items for sale from fruits and veggies to desserts, to fish to drinks but they also had jewelry, clothes, toys, cremes and balms and other assorted items. Their fruits and veggies were impressive. It was so vibrant, colorful, fragrant. Enjoy my photos of the berries to see what I mean. I did buy a bakery item from the booth that had a lot of items, but no one in line, no wait versus the other booth that had a good amount of items but about 15 people in line. I should have known. My coffee cake item had saran wrap but it had a hole in it, and it was very stale. I am assuming that the hole led to it being stale and not that it was an old item not freshly made that day. It was very disappointing. If you are in the area, stop in and check it out.

I'd been doing Instacart orders from them but first time physically inside this weekend to check them out. The inside was super super clean. Major points there! In the time I was shopping around they had plenty of staff working, floors being mopped and all of the aisles were well organized and pretty. This market is a pretty standard Asian goods focused grocery store. I found about 85% of what I wanted here. I wish they had a premium sushi section and some more Hawaiian imported goods (aside from juices and sauces) but otherwise I was able to find everything I was looking for. Their hot bar is also solid. A wide selection of items to pick and I felt the pricing was reasonable. Actually throughout the whole store the prices are good compared to other grocery stores right now. I had a full bag of items for $50, good luck elsewhere getting those kinds of prices. I didn't have too much of an interaction with the staff while there, but again, lots of people working and keeping this spot in tip top shape. Also the woman working the register who checked me out was very nice. A great supermarket and I'll definitely be back more often now since checking them out.

It was pretty busy already with folks enjoying the DJ's tunes, filipino food and overall vibes. I bought the traditional Halo halo dessert (see my pic) and it was decent. Through out the night there was free gifts, contests and lots of dancing. Overall fun family event to enjoy. Seafood City is located in a strip mall. Lots of free parking. I occasionally shop here for speciality asian items that I couldn't find at Island Pacific. Prices are a bit steeper here. Service is decent here, for both the food court and supermarket.
