My favorite food truck in north Austin. I've had everything on the menu, twice, and it's all amazing. Can't recommend this gem enough.

Delicious and authentic. The very kind business owner makes each order as it is placed, so all the food is fresh and hot.

Krave is a food truck in the parking lot of the Valero gas station on Anderson Lane. This flame…read morepainted truck is appropriate for the spice of their meats although not too spicey. Shiv, the chef on board, recommended three meat bowl. I choose jerk, tikka and Mediterranean flavored chicken. It truly was an explosion of flavors and textures in your mouth. Each piece of chicken was individually flavored with generous portions. I can also taste the finely chopped onions, soft yet plump tomatoes, sour cream and another secret sauce. All of these meats, vegetables and sauces topped a bed of fluffy rice. My taste buds were dancing! Shiv was super kind and accomodating. There is covered seating near the food truck. They have a very unique food concept. You can buy chips at the gas station and they will add toppings from the food truck, I.e. like a Dorito or Frito pie with a spice tip. Give Krave Kitchen a try!

Shiv was incredible and so, so, so sweet. He asked us for our feedback multiple times and even gave us some samples of their berry smoothie, which is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend getting Doritos nachos or the hot fries as your bags because both offered great bases. If you can't eat spicy, ask for more white sauce and none of the spicy sauce. I'd also recommend asking for more tomatoes. The chicken schwawrma + gyro was a fantastic combination, and there is so much food for just $12. I highly, highly, highly recommend coming to krave. They open late, and seriously, Shiv is the sweetest. Please support local businesses!

The fried chicken was cooked to perfection - flavorful, light and filling. The sauces were so good! We got medium spice level, which was pretty good but I think I'll try one level up (spicy) next time for more of a kick. If you're a spice lover I'd recommend that. I preferred the Kai Prao because of the diverse flavor profile and the addition of bell peppers for some crunch. Yum! All orders are served with a side of white rice and their house salad. A hearty, filling and affordable meal to satisfy your next Asian fried chicken craving.

They said it would be about 20 minutes for food since they were slammed, but I appreciate knowing it was made to order, so no problems there. Tried the Kaeng Panaeng and it was good overall. Huge portion size but wasn't quite what I was expecting. Salad was pretty standard but I'm glad they kept it separate so it wouldn't wilt from the heat. As for the chicken, I was hoping by itself it would be more thai inspired/marinated/seasoned but it's effectively just chopped up chicken tenders to be dunked in the curry. The curry is flavorful, albeit a bit watery, which I wish was reduced a bit. But if curry is not your thing, my friend's Kai Zabb was very good: tangy, sweet and heat all at once, so good to really switch up bites. And while I wasn't expecting sticky rice, I can't help but say it's the first time I've had thai fried chicken without it. All in all, I think its a great new place to try out, but if you've had thai fried chicken before, just temper your expectations.

Kai Zabb - Such a cool area to eat! It was much cooler under this covered area (which is also under some tree coverage).

I tried the chicken boneless sandwich medium which came with fries and the chicken tenders mild…read more The chicken itself is very juicy and tender. Most of the flavor is on the outside though and because the chicken is so juicy and big the crust falls off. The chicken sand which is HUGE. There is so much meat and the ratio seems really off. The bread gets really soggy fast but the coleslaw and pickles are a nice addition. The flavors are really solid. The medium is the perfect spice for me. The tenders are okay, since I got mild it wasn't really flavorful and the dang sauce isn't very flavorful either. Food was made to order because it was HOT. The brewery area is very cute and fun but the parking situation is not great.

The chicken sandwich was a behemoth of a sandwich. I could barely bite it, but worth the $15! The bun was extremely soft, but the ratio of chicken to bun was a little off. Their pickles are sweet which is ideal with that level of heat. I got the hot which was perfect for me. The fries are amazing tbh, even after sitting in the fridge, they had a great flavor and texture somehow. I wish they put more sauce which is probably my personal preference haha It was a good meal overall, but not my favorite fried chicken spot. The burger with curry sauce WAS SO GOOOOD!! If i came back, I would get that. Smash burger patty with a pillowy bun - delish!
