Honestly one of the better LA Fitness locations around SGV. The gym is pretty clean, equipment is kept in good shape, and there's usually enough space to get a workout in without feeling too packed. Parking is easy too, which is a big plus for this area. Adam and Tiffany were both really pleasant to deal with the couple times I talked to them - just good energy and professional. The workout environment here is fantastic; the equipment is comprehensive and kept impeccably clean. What impressed me most, however, was the staff's attitude--they are highly professional and patient, unlike the staff at some gyms who seem interested only in sales. Come here if you want the police called on you for asking a simple question about new membership... When a client asks about their program for seniors and within the first minute, Samuel C (Sales Manager) refuses and says, "I am not listening." Then escalates the situation when the request is made to speak with his manager, Francesca L (General Manager), who does nothing to de-escalate the situation and openly lies that they do not have a corporate phone number for complaints. Rather she allows Samuel to call the Arcadia Police for trespassing. They are obviously working together hand in hand to allow this disgraceful behavior toward-a people. UPDATE: Corporate has been contacted at 949-255-7200 (it does exist despite Francesca's claim) and their District VP, Edward V. has been notified of their increasingly hostile attitudes and actions. Upper management lifted the "trespassing order" (as it should have never been initiated) but I urge anyone else who has experienced their disgraceful and unprofessional behavior to contact corporate as I only see an escalation in their bad behavior based on other reviews posted on Google and Yelp. read more

Extremely Uncomfortable Experience with Staff I had an incredibly unpleasant and unsettling experience at this LA Fitness location due to the behavior of a male employee. Instead of feeling welcomed and safe, I felt harassed and violated, which is completely unacceptable in any environment especially a gym where people come to focus on their health. His actions made me deeply uncomfortable, and I strongly urge management to take harassment complaints seriously. Came here to try out LA Fitness for the first time. Service/Interior: I was surprised how big this was when walking inside. Getting started with my free 3-day pass was easy and simple, and the representative that helped me out was very helpful and not pushy like some other gym reps I've talked to. I thought the layout of the gym was a bit weird and wished they had more mirrors in certain areas of the gym. I did love how they have a pool and jacuzzi, as well as punching bags and an indoor basketball court! I didn't love how it was difficult to find the weights I needed, even when the gym wasn't full. I seemed like they only had one set of 25lb dumbbells, which someone was using. Parking: Parking is super easy since it is located in a plaza. There is always plenty of parking. Conclusion: I didn't like that I could find the weights I needed, and some of the equipment was placed in an odd area. The pool and basketball court is really nice, but I don't use it so it wouldn't be much of an advantage for me. read more

Terrible place. I had a guest pass that they did not honor. The manager Sam walks in looking me up and down like a gangster and says "it's $20 or else you can't come in" The front desk lady and all the staff looked at me as though I was out of place. Like they've never seen a black person before. I wanted to use my guest pass to see if maybe I wanted to become a member here. I guess that's a big No and if you're black I wouldn't recommend stepping foot into this place ever. read more

In terms of an excellent place to work out though, sometimes it gets super packed and the gym goers here always leave the dumb bells in who knows where and I find myself mostly wandering around trying to find the weight I'm looking for. The place can get dirty too (I found a dead cockroach once eek). Other than that, some perks of this LA fitness includes the sauna, the swimming pool and free work out classes including yoga! The mats they provide are battered though so I would suggest to bring your own. They share a lot with Vons so parking is easy! read more

My family and I had an extremely disappointing experience at the LA Fitness in Arcadia, specifically with the so called manager, Sam C. We had a simple question about the guest pass rules under the family membership plan, but instead of helping, Sam was rude, dismissive, and openly said he "didn't feel like helping." He even made a condescending remark to my mom: "I don't really feel like helping you anymore." My mom, who has been a loyal guest at this gym for over a decade, stepped in to address the situation calmly, but Sam continued to deflect and refused to properly answer or resolve anything. No other staff member or manager offered assistance, which was equally disappointing. As a 'manager', Sam should be setting a positive example for his employees, customers, and potential new members. Instead, he chose not to help, dismissing us and in the process losing multiple customers for the future. He sounded and acted entitled due to his position/title, and it is extremely disappointing to see how he would act and treat other prospective clients. Our experience at this location isn't uncommon, as many others online have reported similar problems, showing this is a recurring issue with poor management and customer service. As long-time supporters and clients of LA Fitness, we are extremely let down. This location needs urgent improvement in customer service, accountability, and leadership. read more

As a newcomer to the gym scene, LA Fitness is a pretty good experience so far. I've only been to 24hrs as a guest over 7 years ago, so my gym culture knowledge is going to be limited in this review. The staff and trainers are friendly and welcoming, creating a helpful and supportive atmosphere for someone as intimidated by the gym as me. My free personal training session with Charles was actually very insightful. While the cleanliness is generally maintained, the downstairs bathrooms could use some attention as they tend to be wet with no paper towel dispenser or dryer in sight. Additionally, there are occasional issues with some machines not functioning properly, which has confused me a few times. While it's not a big gym, the equipment seems well maintained and I've actually enjoyed learning how to use them. The only real downside is the overcrowding during peak hours, making it a challenge to find parking as well as navigate around the gym floor. However it's an easy jog over during those times and I find this location easy to go a few times a week. Overall, I'm enjoying LA Fitness as a beginner kickstarting my fitness journey and so far it's been a solid experience. read more

Today I worked out here around 10:00 a.m. on Memorial Day. I used the women's restroom and the stalls were an absolute pigsty. There was lots of wadded up toilet seat covers and toilet paper on the ground. This was in several stalls. People tinkle on the seat and don't wipe it up. Usually, they have staff cleaning the place but it looked like no one had cleaned in quite awhile. It's a holiday so maybe they are short staffed. I told the woman up at the front desk who seems to be some type of manager and she said she would let someone know but when I went down there almost an hour later, no one had cleaned up anything. Really, my main complaint is with the people who use these bathrooms. Do you do this at home? Don't be gross. Pick up after yourself. Other people don't want a mess like this. I was back in Arcadia for a week visiting family, and decided to check out the LA Fitness here back home. This location is clean, spacious, and has all the equipment I needed for a solid workout. From cardio to free weights to machines, everything was in great condition and well-organized. The gym never felt overcrowded, and the atmosphere was really positive. A special shout-out to the manager, Sam--he was incredibly welcoming and professional. He made the whole experience smooth from the moment I walked in. Got a 7 day guest pass from a friend that's currently a member. Signed up online and came in to use it. Was greeted by a rude salesman that hates his life. He lied and told me that since I was a member 3 years ago I cannot use the guest pass. I called corporate and they informed that it's not true. As long as I haven't been a member or used a guest pass in the last 6 months I should be able to use it. Then he proceeded to tell me I need to make an appointment and my pass was only good at another location. Guess what? Corporate confirmed he's lying . Gonna sign up at 24 hour fitness instead. I liked this location for its cleanliness and sizable aerobic room. However, their guest privilege policy is very confusing. Website says we are allowed to bring two friends as long as they are with the member the entire time. But when I tried to bring a friend, they asked me to pay $20 for the day. If this is your policy, you need to say it clear, instead they lied about guest privilege on their website. This not an honest business to deal with. Also, the bald male sales person was so rude, he declined me asking a guest pass for my friend. Either $20 or a new membership. Avoid this gym at all costs. read more

Been a member at LA Fitness for 8 years and decided to cancel it because this location does not keep their gym clean (even though they bot spam and pay reviewers to post about the cleanliness of it). Decided to try it out again and see if anything has changed. I tried to use a guest pass and was met by the manager that said I cannot try the gym again because I have already been a member before. When I asked if he can show me where it says that, he continued with "I can deny anybody I want". Instead of welcoming the use of the gym, it is more important to display ego and power. You can tell this is an older LA fitness location that is definitely in need of some modifications. It has one of the strangest layouts I've seen. It is very narrow but long. The cardio machines are on the first floor and the weights, machines, and bathrooms/locker rooms are downstairs. The weights section is a mess. Half the dumbbells are nowhere to be found. Half the plates are also nowhere to be found. I had to circle the entire floor just to look for two 5-lb plates. There are only 2 cable machines, and one of them was broken. The weights section was not very impressive- there was limited equipment and it was not organized. The machines seemed adequate. Since it's located on the lower level, there are no windows and the dim lighting gives dungeon vibes and is quite depressing to be honest. Locker rooms were pretty standard. The entire time I was there I did not see anyone cleaning, so it looks like they are quite understaffed. I am so glad I don't usually go to this LA fitness because I somehow left the gym feeling worse than when I first came in. Part of the problem is the gym culture, but I think staff should also do a better job of ensuring that equipment is where it is supposed to be. This gym could also use some renovations. read more

COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. Some of the staff also wears gloves while cleaning. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was here in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is decent. There is parking in the front of the building. If you come here during peak business hours, good luck finding a spot. If that happens, park on the street and walk over. They share the lot with several other establishments, so the lot can get full very easily and quickly. Establishment & Staff: The gym itself is pretty clean, neat, and tidy. The staff here are very friendly, helpful, and chill. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum. read more

Been here a few times to walk the treadmill only. In peak hours all the treadmills are all taken but when I'm on it, I walk about 1-2 miles!
