Honestly, there isn't a single thing I didn't like. The space has changed a bit over the past few years. Part of it now is retail and the other half is the café. It still has the cozy charm and there's even outdoor seating which is perfect for summer. Yesterday, I chatted with the barista and learned that the owner/pastry chef trained in Paris. That might explain why everything tastes so amazing!

Such a gem in New West!…read more My partner and I just went here for coffee today and he ordered a cappuccino, while I got myself a matcha latte. Both drinks were made exceptionally well; impressively smooth, foamy, balanced, and clearly prepared with care rather than just being an afterthought. What really makes this place special is the atmosphere. The vibe feels genuinely inclusive and community-driven, with thoughtful touches like the pop-up bookstore featuring books on race, gender, and queer authors. It feels like a space built for connection, not just coffee. I also love how it transforms depending on the day. The daytime café energy is cozy and welcoming, while on select nights they stay open longer, serve alcohol, and host regular events like DJ nights, board game nights, and other community gatherings. It gives the space a lot of personality and makes it feel alive beyond the usual coffee shop experience. Definitely one of those places that feels more like a neighborhood hub than just a café. I'll be visiting a lot more soon!

The matcha taste was not too strong and not the umami matcha but still good nonetheless. I got it with oat milk instead and there wasn't an up charge. It doesn't come with sweetener and u can taste the matcha without it much more but I added 2 pumps of sugar and found that it increased the oat milk taste too much. I would recommend 1-1.5 pumps of liquid sugar (the barista helped me put it in so just ask!). The inside of the cafe was quite cute and they even had a little clothing rack selling second hand items like clothes and shoes! The space is quite big and spacious and has seating at the back as well and washrooms.

We only got to-go so we didn't get to relish in the space, but would come back again if I could! FOOD + DRINKS: Super yum! I got the 106 Latte and I liked it! It only comes cold, so just an fyi! Typically comes with 3 pumps of sweetener but I asked for 2 since I like my drinks less sweet. I also got less ice since I didn't want it to be too cold! I loved the drink though, it was perfect! The coffee was strong enough and the flavor wasn't overpowering, and especially, wasn't too sweet, just how I like it! We also got a hot lavender latte which, surprisingly, wasn't too sweet as well! Perfect intensity of caffeine with flavor! HONORABLE MENTION: CHICKEN PESTO SANDWICH!!!! I never get food from cafes multiple reasons: too pricey, never know how long they have been there for, have there been flies in the refrigerator, etc. There is just so many unknowns with the quality of the food. But the kind lady at the register, when I asked about the sandwiches, she was so excited about it! Hahaha! I thought it was so amusing that she herself was so in love with these sandwiches, she gets them all the time is what she told me. I was feeling hungry and we had a long ride ahead of us so I got the chicken pesto sandwich! Individually wrapped in the refrigerator, only two of each kind, it looked sanitary and reasonable, and so was the price! It was toasted and cut in half for us. When we ate it, it was SO YUM! I usually each my sandwiches with hot sauce, which I forgot to inquire about, but it was so yummy I didn't even miss it! So awesome!!!! AMBIANCE: Small, cute, quaint! There are a few seats available, bar seating at the window I could see myself sit there and do work at, a few tables for seating that you could find yourself catching up with someone at! It's a small area, but if youre looking for something warm and cozy, this is your spot :)

I also snuck in a mini cannoli because it was so cute and I had never had one before. What a treat! Reg LOVED his coffee which he said was very strong without being too bitter. Continental Coffee House is a total treasure and I am thrilled to find out they have a location on Commercial too! I will be checking that location out for sure.

It's a decent place to get a latte and a croissant…read more My boyfriend was happy with his decaf latte and I thought my hojicha latte was just ok - the latter was a bit watery and lacked depth. We ordered a pain aux raisins which was above average although the raisins were scarce, and it needed a bit of salt in the dough to round out the flavours. The chocolate croissant was exemplary; we enjoyed its flaky, crisp layers studded with beautifully rich chocolate, right down to the last crumb. The cafe's interior is spartan in appearance with limited seating: a small communal table and a few tables for two. There's a nice outdoor patio in front for warmer days. 3.5 stars.

The barista was very nice! I got the Sooyo croissant, an egg tart, and a milk tea. I loved the Sooyo croissant - I'm weak to the brie/fig combo and this had just the right balance of all the ingredients on a warm and soft croissant. The egg tart was also really nice with a hint of cinnamon. It was bite-sized which was good for a small treat. I also loved the milk tea. It was very strong, and the brown sugar syrup enhanced the flavour! It was worth the trip for me for a relaxing snack stop!
