5 Stars to the 5th power! Went for a work meeting and it is the absolute cutest meeting space I've ever experienced! The owners are so nice and accommodating. Also the chef is amazing! Highly recommended and I hope this is our new go to. read more

Our team was so last minute with scheduling, I was trying to find a place that would accommodate 10 of us for an after work activity. There are only a handful of places to take private cooking classes and there were only a couple available to teach us. I found another place through this cozymeal, and they were able to find me a chef but I had no clue where we'd be (location wise - kitchen, house..). I just couldn't trust that we'd be in a location as cute as La Cuisine. So I decided to book with them since Yelp has such cute pictures of the inside.. my only worry was the very few reviews. But I took that chance and when we arrived everything looked exactly what people posted on here..but even cuter! Chef Paru & Sophia were so welcoming and per the group - they were both attentive but also giving us enough space to try on our own. Also, didn't realize my cutting technique was wrong until taking this class haha! I rarely cook, but now I know going forward! I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for great instruction and something a somewhat intimate vibes and not within a standard industrial kitchen. GF & Instagram friendly lol Thanks Chef Paru & Sophia! read more

Wonderful cute spot right next to the heart of Venice shopping. Friend and I made a reservation for the French bistro night. Along with a few other parties learned to make a Caesar salad, steak, and chocolate soufflé. We were greeted with essentially bottomless pours of wine and a charcuterie board. It was a fun few hours of bantering with strangers and in the setting of cooking. Very low stress with simple instructions (even though I butchered the egg count, but the hosts were nice enough to give me a new bath of eggs). Meal was served thanksgiving style with plenty to go around. We were all left very full and tipsy afterwards. Would def recommend again with a group a friends. And the aesthetic is very cute! read more

La Cuisine is such a great place to have both casual and work related gatherings! Ashley and her staff are professional, friendly and a pleasure to be around as you nosh on snacks pre-prepared and learn hands on to cook/bake whatever your chosen menu. I recently hosted a birthday party for a dozen or so 10 year olds after a successful event for work and it was a fantastic experience. The kids had a chance to work with dough and make pasta and also decorate mini double layer funfeti cakes which were a huge hit. The space is clean and beautiful and there is a lovely patio to lounge and an outdoor dining space completely outfitted with heat lamps to make it nice and cozy. Highly recommended for a lovely day or evening where you can enjoy making and eating great food amongst friends or co-workers. read more

I visited Cookdrop as part of a corporate teambuilding event with about a dozen colleagues. As an avid amateur chef and baker, I've taken several classes at various Los Angeles cooking schools, retail stores, and specialty baking academies. Cookdrop Kitchen stands out for its approachable teaching style, beautiful interior design, and relaxed atmosphere. Our workshop was suited to all experience levels; I made pasta from scratch for the first time, tried out new recipes, and refined my knife skills. Ashley and her team were outstandingly hospitable and pleasant, making this a memorable event for the whole team. We were greeted with wine and cheese, then Cookdrop walked our team through creating a multi-course, absolutely scrumptious Italian lunch menu. Our dishes included two types of homemade pasta, chicken parmesan, broccoli rabe, and tiramisu. I would highly recommend a class Cookdrop Kitchen for any group (and hope that my team votes for this as our next offsite outing)! read more

Fun cooking classes taught by attentive, cool chefs in a beautiful space. Small class size allows you to actively participate and ask questions. I took the pasta cooking class led by Chef Sophia and Chef Paru and made bolognese, truffle butter & mushroom sauce, and sweet corn ravioli with thyme brown butter. Delicious! read more

Great service. Food was done well, but not as expected! Very impressed with the knowledge that our server displayed!

Ok, this is going to sound like a weird review, because it is not about their delicious food...BUT... do yourself a favor and take a knife skills class here. It will change your life. read more

Executed a dinner service at the behest of an east coast client. Initially, the team was a slight reticent, as it was the client who'd found this venue. Much to our delight, the kitchen was magnifique'. While we arrived fully stocked with our kitchen ware, a joy to find that we were able to reload many of our materials to allow for full kitchen space. The kitchen was fully stocked and beautifully functional. Too often my team has to finagle the kitchen spaces we work in because they're usually too small. But with the prep tables and spacious marble countertops, we were able to execute an extremely comfortable and perfect 6 course menu for the client. We ultimately had to add an additional on-the-fly dish for a surprise guest. The perfect environment to foster that level of creativity! I felt the calmest I've ever been in a kitchen in some time, with the exception of my own. The location, while obscure, was easy to find and we had no issues finding street parking just outside the door. We heard no complaints from the guests either. One of the greatest aspects was the design of the kitchen. It was not only professional and fully stocked but it was spectacularly charming. A great combination of home-feel and necessity! Great energy. I hope to use this space in the near future! What a gem. read more

My friends and I enjoyed a warm cozy evening cooking soup by the fire on a winter Sunday evening. Ashley taught us so many great tips and cooking hacks. The recipes were spot-on, full of flavor, and easy enough to make. Highly recommended! Stephanie read more

I found La Cuisine searching online for a fun team building event for work. Eight of us did the Italian menu class, and we had a blast! There were varying levels of cooking experience amongst us, and Chef Sophia along with her two helpers (so sorry I can't recall their names!) did an amazing job taking care of us! There was a nice charcuterie board and wine/drinks waiting for us upon arrival. The space on Main Street is a welcoming and chic space, with great music playing while we enjoyed our drinks and made a delicious meal of shaved fennel, arugula and artichoke salad, fresh pasta with a cherry tomato and pancetta, and yummy sweet corn ravioli and a citrus olive oil cake. The recipes were easy to follow and it didn't feel like it was hard to do! I definitely recommend La Cuisine and they also have many other menus to choose from as well! Thank you! read more

Had the best time with Ashley + Kathy! Our team did an end of the year cooking class and the class exceeded our expectations! The studio is adorably decorated and our teachers were attentive and helpful, but also gave us range to cook on our own. Best part, you sit down all together at the end and enjoy the food you cooked! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun team cooking class! read more

I went to the cook drop class last Saturday and was beyond impressed. First - I was greeted with choice of beverage and warm smile from Chef Ashley. Awesome coffee! Second - The space is AMAZING! Beautifully decorated super clean. Feels like home. Third - The food is above the best restaurant quality. The guest sushi chef was fun to cook with and funny. We had a few Japanese whiskeys as well... Lastly - I had no idea how to prepare sushi before this class. Now I'm no expert but after a fun few hours with new friends I will be trying in the near future. Basically the cooking classes here are fun, informative, interactive, entertaining and DELICIOUS! I will be recommending to friends and heading back myself. read more

The venue: Our work team of 12 people held a strategizing session at this site and it was just right for our needs. Ashley's cookdrop space consists of an eating area/kitchen and a workspace. It was well lighted, clean and, comfortable. The space was beautifully decorated and had a nice conference table/chairs for our meeting. (It even had a really nice bathroom). The place had a hip vibe and allowed for our creative juices to flow. Food: Ashley is also an awesome chef and it's well-worth exploring her food offerings! She cooked some amazing omelettes for breakfast (even though this wasn't part of the offering). We hired her to cook lunch for our group and it was delicious! All fresh and healthy ingredients, her dishes were elegant and pleasing to the eyes. I liked the blend of French, Mediterranean, and Californian style. A combination of fresh salmon, chicken, vegetables, and sides. She was also able to cater the menu to our needs, as we had two vegetarians and someone with food allergies. Dessert was a yogurt parfait and it didn't leave a heavy feeling. Lunch left us feeling energetic for a productive work day at the venue. I'd definitely book with Ashley again. It's a great place for a team to meet and eat lunch at. Ashley cooking enabled us to stay at the venue to make the most of our time there. Would recommend having her cook at your event if your budget allows. read more

I recently held a private client event at Cookdrop Kitchen's Marina del Rey location. We had a blast! Ashley was responsive and helpful when it came to setting up the event. And Kathy was wonderful during the event giving us cooking tips and helping each station with their dish. She was a warm host & teacher. The space is beautiful and nicely arranged. The kitchen/cooking area is updated and well stocked. There are plenty of work stations and the atmosphere is lively and collaborative. Additionally, there is a separate room with a dining table and lounge area with seats. Great area to congregate for drinks and to enjoy the final meal you have prepared! All the details were beautiful from decor to the tableware. The food that we prepared was delicious! Highly recommend for a work event or just joining a group cooking class. Together with our client we utilized the Cookdrop Kitchen space for a leadership training program. The space was amazingly fit for our purpose with the common area separate from the kitchen area. My hope is that next time we can use Ashley to hold a cooking class with the group! read more

La Cuisine - The final product of our cooking class which we enjoyed in Cookdrop's gorgeous dining room. - Caterers Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I was so excited to return to La Cuisine for a second time since they opened! The event space is clean, spacious, and so cute! There are large windows, allowing for cheery natural lighting, and plenty of outdoor seating as well. I celebrated a belated birthday there, where I selected the menu I wanted. My friends and I then prepared the different dishes, under the watchful eye of Chef Ashley and her team. Ashley and her team are warm, welcoming and knowledgeable! We had such a good time, and it is so rewarding to sit down together afterwards and enjoy the meal we made! Highly recommend for a fun night with friends, or for a teambuilding work event. read more

We booked a cooking class with Ashley at La Cuisine for a team dinner. I wanted to do something active with my team after nearly 2 years of being on a zoom screen but I didn't want it to be forced fun. Ashley and Spencer delivered. Everything was prepped. Easy to book on website. Could not recommend more. Well done Chef Ashley. read more

I booked Cookdrop for a team building event for my group of 12. We chose a North African lunch. Ashley answered all of my questions and handled all of our group's dietary concerns and logistical needs. They put together a great menu, laid out all the ingredients and recipes, gave us a few knife pointers and let us do our thing, stepping in if we needed a hand or had a question. Ashley and Kathy were super fun to work with and everything we made came out phenomenally. We then got to eat it at a lovely pre-set long dining room table in the adjoining room. It's not super cheap but totally worth the attention to detail, expertise, and creativity. read more

Did the Thai cooking class with my team from work and it was such an awesome experience. 10/10 recommend

The pandemic unapologetically ejected our close-knit team of 20 from our cool, quirky haven of an office space and thrust us into the confines of a permanent work-from-home status. Fast forward two years, we are going to meet up in person with our local group and now have to include a number of new employees we collected from all over the country. What do we do without our office to return to? After countless hours of searching, I struck GOLD with La Cuisine. It was the perfect solution. The large family-style table and a huge TV helped us to dialogue with ease between those in-person and incorporate our out-of-state team in a Teams meeting. Ashely was amazing to work with in setting up all the arrangements including the fantastic menu options for catering. We had the treat of watching Chef Dean work his craft in the kitchen. The food was absolutely delish evidenced by the team going back for seconds and thirds. Everything was timely and went according to plan from beginning to end. Ashely and Chef Dean were super hospitable and made this the best reunion and work session that we could ever hope for. We enjoyed the super cute layout, esthetics, amenities, food and coffee so much that we are booking our next meeting there soon. read more

I was in a bind for a corporate event and short on time. I reached out to Chef Ashley after seeing the great photos and reviews. SHE EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS! She was extremely prompt in her reply and quickly put together an excellent night. She understood that because it was a corporate event, not everyone wanted to cook a ton while others wanted a challenge. She balanced it perfectly. We all raved about the food, the process, the space and how affordable it was for the entire experience. Don't hesitate to pick a class or reach out for a specific event. read more
