Kate Paul is an incredible party director- she comes with a lot of experience and it shows. Not only she has a full book of all the vendors you may need, she is ultra organized and professional! I loved working with Kate! Kate has a lot of great ideas that will help in making your party unique. Her assistant Matt was also very professional and made sure everything was running smoothly during the party. They both delivered a high quality service! All night I was hearing praises from our guests about the beautiful space and well organized party. I'm so glad I found this venue and I will certainly be having more events there. :) Our party was a true success!

After inquiring about this venue online, I was immediately contacted by Kate Paul, who assisted me throughout the entire process of planning my event. In fact, that is an understatement because Kate did more than assist me, and I must say that I would not have been able to pull off such an amazing event without her guidance, support, and assistance. Kate was very knowledgeable about event planning, and since this was the first event that I coordinated on my own, she was thoughtful enough to give me guidance in everything from catering and bar service, to project management and décor recommendations. Kate was indeed my angel sent from the event planning gods; she was very professional, accommodating, understanding, and patient throughout the entire process. As for the venue, it was everything that I could have hoped for! It would be an honor to have the opportunity to host another event at this venue! I can honestly say that you will not regret hosting your event at Venue 66.

We weren't too hungry due to all the snacks wait at the movie theater but we shared two pasta dishes, salad and the biscoff cookie dessert. The cocktails were delicious and they were definitely more items on the menu we want to come back and try with friends so that we can sample more dishes. Other tables had ordered their crispy tuna appetizer and mains which looked delicious

Parking is all around, not free, there are metered spots, and parking garages. I parked in structure 2 and it was $17 for 17 hours. It would not let you select less than 17 hours on a Saturday afternoon. The garden closes promptly at 5 pm, but they warn you through a speaker system about 445 to start getting ready to get out. There are koi in the pond, a waterfall, and all kinds of plants, trees, flowers, etc. 13 plus zones of different plants and flora. There were people relaxing on the benches, at the tables, etc. Some meditating, and most just enjoying nature.

The garden feels peaceful, quiet, and tucked away from the chaos of Los Angeles. There's plenty of shade along with beautiful scenery made up of plants, flowers, walking trails, streams, and a pond. There are also little areas throughout the garden where people can sit down to relax, meditate, read, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. Admission is free, which is wonderful, but you do have to pay for parking. Weekend parking is usually around $3 per hour or $12 for the whole day, while weekdays are about $5 per hour or $17 for the full day. It is recommended that you park at UCLA Parking Structure 2 or Lot E. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the garden itself is on the smaller side compared to places like Descanso Gardens, so don't expect an all-day experience unless you really like taking your time. Still, it's a beautiful hidden gem near UCLA and such a lovely place for photos, peaceful walks, or simply getting away for a little while.

The tuna was tender and fresh and obviously high quality, as was all the fish. All I ate was fish and fresh salads. There was an asparagus salad, a beet salad, and a strawberry spinach salad. I didn't have room in my tummy for the made to order omelet station, the roast beef or the ham carving station! I usually hit those up also, but today I was in awe over the fish. The cooked salmon entree was perfection also. The desserts, as always, were delectable. All the staff members are so personable and go out of their way to make you happy. A shout out to Jeffery, our waiter, who brought us wonderful mimosas, bloody Mary's and iced coffees. He was so nice to us. The chef brought made sure we had a sweet brioche wreath for our table, even though the outside tables didn't have one. He was so kind to specially have one brought to us, and we devoured most of it! So fluffy. What an extra nice item to beautify the tables and enjoy too. The women managers were lovely to us, and I wish I remembered their names! I almost forgot to mention the art rambles, Easter egg hunt, live Easter bunny and Easter egg hunt for the kids. I am excited to bring my grandkids next year !
