We used Chef Marlene to cater a 40 person brunch event that we hosted at our house and everything was perfect! Her attention to detail is second to none and the food was absolutely amazing. Our guests kept on asking " where did you get this food from?!?!" read more

Where to start....Marlene is absolutely the best of the best. I recently hired her as a private chef for a special birthday party for my mom. Her attention to detail is not only evident in her delicious food, but throughout the whole process of planning. Marlene started by asking what types of food my mom loved to eat, and worked with me to create a completely custom menu based on her preferences. Her organization and knowledge about fresh seasonal produce made me confident that it would be an amazing meal. After much anticipation, the day of the party finally arrived, and Marlene's professionalism and expertise helped make the evening flawless. She worked around others in the kitchen, and prepared an amazing meal for our 19 guests. The food was not only beautifully plated, but was absolutely delicious. The entire table (including many foodies) couldn't stop talking about how good everything tasted. From the zucchini noodles with panko breaded goat cheese, to the heirloom tomato and corn salad; each plate was incredible. For the main course our guests had a choice between chicken and salmon both of which were cooked to perfection. The portions were very plentiful and every component on the plate had it's own unique and vibrant flavor. Marlene's passion for using only the freshest ingredients is what truly sets her apart. She was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish and I am so thankful that she helped make our special event a success. read more

I can't say enough good delicious things about Marlene. Not only is her food DELICIOUS but she makes everything look so dang pretty! She has a eye for immaculate presentation and taste to match. She was so easy to work with, great attitude and delivered on exactly what I asked her for, and completely exceeded my expectations. I almost wish I was throwing an event every day so I could have Marlene's talents on the daily! As the event host, every single patron came up to me and complemented the food many, many times and the gorgeous presentation. My photographer for the event is the photographer here in LA for one of the city's most elite and sought out restaurants (to be named nameless....but think Venice and Abbott Kinney) She said to me "wow. Food is so incredibly important and your caterer knocked it out of the park in style and in taste. Well done on hiring her. " I can't wait to use Marlene and all her talents again as soon as possible. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Chef Marlene! She has been catering for our company for a few months now and I have NEVER had a complaint from any of our 24 employees. She's basically a celebrity in our office. Marlene and her team make corporate catering feel so luxurious compared to other companies we have worked with! Everything is presented beautifully, it's healthy, fresh, and feels like it was made specially for us. Our office also has a lot of dietary restrictions and requests and Marlene has tackled them with ease. I have also recommended her to friends who have raved about her service as well. She's a gem and I almost don't like sharing how wonderful she is because I wish we could keep her to ourselves. If you need a cater for any event (especially corporate) Chef Marlene is your girl :) read more

Not only was the food amazing but her and her teams execution adaptability and helpfulness when one of our other vendors didn't have what they needed/wasn't doing what they were doin she stepped in and took charge to save the day. I think I have been getting at least one text a day asking for recipes and our chefs name post wedding. Thanks again Marlene and her team for a seamless beautiful experience! read more

Marlene has been a star caterer for the past few months here. Apart from having an amazing selection on her menu, she certainly delivers: whether it's her seasonal farm fresh selection of dishes, or her ability to provide care to her clients and make sure they are well fed. You really can taste the seasonality and freshness, see the beauty, care and time she takes in everything she does while feeling good and feeling full from what you're eating. It's been a delight getting lunch for 80+ people from her each week - thank you Chef Marlene! Highly recommended! read more

Marlene is not only an incredible caterer but she is a true partner in helping to curate an unique experience for guests. Last night, I hosted a murder mystery dinner party set in an English manor in the 1930s. Marlene was so creative in helping to develop an authentic English menu- including beautifully presented trout and veggie pot pie but the main hit was the sticky toffee pudding cake for dessert. Everything she made looked and tasted absolutely amazing! Not too mention that she makes the process of hosting so much more fun when you know her very capable hands are in charge of the food. You know it's a hit when your guests can't stop raving about the meal and how the themed menu helped to create the ambiance for the evening. I truly cannot recommend her catering services enough. Yum. Marlene and Michael just get it. The food is fantastic, customer service is top notch, and did I mention the food was good (which is kind of the point)? They catered one of my work events, the only thing left were the trays the food came in. read more

Nothing but the most enthusiastic praises for Marlene and her team! She comes highly, highly recommended! Marlene was so accommodating and the entire process was seamless from the start. She ended up creating and executing the most delicious menu for our wedding! We didn't have the space for a formal sit down dinner, so she made platters of incredible, sophisticated fare, and everything was next level delicious! Her prices were not pretentious, and nor is she, especially for a LA chef. Marlene is approachable, disarming and overall lovely. She's super easy to work with. Her team was also, and they were on their "A" game the entire evening according to my wedding coordinator. In fact, she also had nothing but praises for Marlene and her team the day after the wedding! I was pleased to hear that report. Overall, they are all absolute STARS!!! ps: They left the kitchen immaculate! read more

Amazing and Excellent are only the first 2 words that come to mind when thinking about Chef Marlene's food. She comes up with the most delicious combinations of foods, creative and so yummy, and the presentation of each dish is beautiful! Aside from the importance of taste, Marlene is a delight to work with. From the first concept phone call, to the day of the event, Marlene and her staff are top notch! They go above and beyond to help the evening be successful and fun. Once you try Chef Marlene, you will never have to worry about finding a caterer ever again!!! She is simply the best! read more

Chef Marlene did an outstanding event for our sons graduation party. The food display was beautifully arranged and the menu was amazing. This was honestly the best in office catering we have ever had. I was very impressed with Marlene as not only did I need to cater for a group of 15 on very, very short notice, Marlene still allowed me to pick the exact menu that would fit for the group of people that would be in the office that day. On the day of the event, Marlene showed up early, set up the food quietly and was in and out with no disruption to the meeting that was taking place just outside of the area I gave her to set up. The food, wow! The food was top notch. We had chicken and vegetables, a spaghetti squash miracle creation, phenomenal potatoes, and a delicious salad. I got rave reviews on my catering choice which only means that Marlene deserves the credit for coming through for me like she did. We will certainly be using Marlene for catering again! What a wonderful experience. read more

I never take the time to write reviews but I had to write something after the incredible work Chef Marlene has done for me. She catered my son's birthday party, a lunch for 45 people and an intimate cocktail and appetizer party for me. Each time the food (in both taste and presentation) has been outstanding and her attention to detail is beyond compare. She is incredibly creative and went above and beyond to make my events perfect- it felt like working with a close friend. At the luncheon the elevator broke and her sous chef carried everything up 2 flights of stairs with no complaint and once at the top, set up the presentation with incredible enthusiasm and precision. I have never received as many compliments on the food as I have with Chef Marlene. I look forward to working with Chef Marlene again soon and for many years to come. read more

Marlene recently provided a delicious and beautiful dinner spread for 30 guests at a baby shower I hosted at my house. Her menu options are unique, and when the dishes arrive you know immediately that it will taste like a meal cooked with love. Every single guest commented about how flavorful the food was, how it didn't "feel like catering" at all, and warmed your soul like home cooking (in the best way!). Marlene is a fearless business woman; she responds immediately to questions which eases the mind of an event host and is creative in a pinch. Choose Marlene for all your food needs; as soon as you meet her, you will want her to stay and enjoy the meal with you! read more

I cannot praise Marlene and Michael enough! I love the delicious and varied options--which helps with anyone's particular diet-- while also feeling unique to Savour's brand and flavors. It doesn't hurt that they are also wonderful people with a incredible customer service and perfectionist's eye. In addition to enjoying their catered events, I also order my lunch from them once a week. I am grateful there is always a healthy and delicious option for me during that week that requires no thought of my own. : ) Yum! read more

Caterers often serve bland, uninspired food. We've all had crappy meals at weddings and at corporate events, sat in line for yet another In-N-Out on the ride home. Marlene is not your typical caterer! Her food is delicious and memorable. She makes nearly EVERYTHING from scratch. She doesn't skimp on ingredients and doesn't cut corners. She puts so much love into her food...and you can taste it. Our office serves around 60 people for lunch each day. After bouncing around with various food providers for over a year, we met Marlene and have not looked back. She always goes the extra mile for us, listens to our various dietary needs, uses the best ingredients, and serves us something totally delectable. Can't recommend her enough! read more
