This cafe is such a vibe. Located on the ground floor of the same building that houses the San Francisco Law Library, this cafe serves great coffee, sandwiches, and snacks. I love its European aesthetics with its marble tables, high ceilings and Hogwarts-ish paintings meets mid-market vibes--small, narrow space that serves sandwiches, pastries, coffee, chips, snacks, wine, etc. Recent favorites were the pastrami on rye. Pleasant service. Nearby Civic Center BART and the UN Plaza. Located inside 1145 Market St, between 7th and 8th Streets.

The beautiful interior of this restaurant at Civic Center.

The coffee is some of the best in town. They have great salads & always fresh fruit, & the service is great. The place is one of the most beautiful interiors in town. I've adored this place for decades & it's better than ever.

The food is fresh, quick, tasty, and filling. The service is consistent, refreshing, quick, and accurate. The ambiance is old Paris style, with music art, light, and ample space in what first seems small. Bathroom in the rear down the hall next door.

A solid choice in the area. It's very aesthetic on the outside and the inside. There is no seating outside and a few spots inside.

Sandwiches came out warm and delicious. Not the most exciting and the portions are smaller than what I hoped. Each drink was almost $5, same for their hot drinks. Everything was still enjoyable and I would return if I were in the area again. I don't frequent this area much so I can't make a good comparison to any other places. The ambiance felt regal yet comfy. Most people seem to come for a quick coffee and meal to go before starting their day.

A very cute spot for breakfast and sandwiches. I ordered the roast beef sandwich and it was good. Surprisingly, I finished both of them. Usually, I could only finish one slice. I wish the bread wasn't too crunchy. I like it toasted but not overly toasted so I can bite into it. Other than that it is amazing. I got the light iced chai latte and it was amazing. I enjoyed drinking it. The food is amazing. Now, let's talk about the place! It is cute. But it is very cramped. It is a good place to eat quickly and go or grab and go. It is not a place to stay for a while. Also, it is in a sketchy place so be careful. The bathroom is in the back and I felt kind of scared. I had my friend come with me and wait outside the door. It has one bathroom. Either way, this place is good and you should come here to eat some delicious sandwiches

I was walking by with a friend and we were looking for a place to eat breakfast. Never did we think a small cafe would be the place we absolutely adored! The interior is very small, and can probably only hold 6-7 people comfortably, but the food and staff were phenomenal. The staff was so friendly and bubbly, which was so nice to see. I got a brioche breakfast sandwich and it was absolutely loaded with all the good stuff! It was probably the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had, and had everything I would want in a breakfast sandwich! I can't wait to go back when I'm in the area!!

Tiny cafe on the ground floor of the Trinity Building. The SF Law Library is located on the 4th floor.

Very convenient and quality offerings. Only place in the area with decent coffee and reminiscent of an old world cafe.

There was complimentary bread which was insanely good and fluffy and warm plus tahini and an onion tomato sauce I think along with radishes and olives. We are not olive ppl sadly but I tried one and it was pretty okay. The service was great and all the servers were super attentive and accommodating. The Stuffed falafel was so good and huge 1 is enough for 2 people. The mosabaha was very refreshing and so good. The meat combo was good overall and everything was very herbally spiced, I wasn't impressed by the lamb tho but the kebab, hummus, and chicken were great! I haven't had Mousakhan before so not sure how it should taste but to me it was sweet and savory with really well cooked chicken. I honestly felt pretty healthy overall cause I was eating hella veggies and everything tasted so fresh. The kunafa was good we got it crispy and was yummy imo but was a lil oily (I think this is normal tho). Arab food isn't really spicy but it is spiced and very herbal which I felt in the food here, I appreciate that chili sauce is provided for the spice lovers. Overall, would highly recommend. It was about $100ish for everything and they recently increased their prices but tbh the portion sizes are huge and I feel like it is so worth it we had hella leftovers. If we had 4 ppl instead of 2 it would've been perfect portions for everyone.

When we arrived at around 7:30 pm, there were tables available. It's a comfortable cafe-like restaurant with mural paintings on the wall. Service was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as the ambiance and waitstaff. ***OUR PICKS*** BEEF SHAWERMA ENTREE ~ the beef was overly salted, saffron rice was ok, hummus was really thick, like peanut butter. My guy ordered this and thought it was average. 3/5 LAMB SHISH KEBAB WRAP ~ this was my dish. I ate one half of the wrap and it only held two cubes of lamb meat. The lettuce and tomatoes made the wrap bland. The meat was seasoned, but everything was plain, so it needed more seasoning. Honestly, this was missing flavor! I'll have to add something to it when I eat the rest of this wrap at home. 2.5/5 HALF ROASTED CHICKEN AND RICE ~ Our friend ordered this dish. It needed more sumac. This tasted like plain roasted chicken. Maybe it needs more seasoning while marinating. It wasn't dry, so that's a relief. Rice was ok and it wasn't dry or soggy. 3.5 We've been spoiled and have had better food in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Nothing stood out for any of us. Prices are a bit high for what you get. Sadly, probably won't be back.

We arrived a little before 5:30 on a Friday and the place was already hopping. We were quickly taken to our seats, greeted by our server, and brought water and bread with olive oil and salt for dipping. Service was wonderful throughout-- friendly, informative, and timely. We joked that if our server hadn't been working, we would have invited her to pull up a chair and join us. She helped steer us towards an incredible selection of dishes. We shared everything, which I highly recommend as a strategy to be able to savor as much as possible. We started with the Kolokithokeftethes (crispy zucchini cakes) and added a third so could each have our own. This was a good decision-- they are delicious. We also shared the Saghanaki (pan fried Kefalotyri cheese) and the Maroulosalata (chopped romaine salad). The cheese and salad were also fantastic. There was a slow cooked lamb special, served over potatoes cooked in the lamb juices. In general, I'm not a huge fan of lamb although sharing was the perfect opportunity to give it a go. While I still wouldn't order it just for me, the dish was very, very good. We also shared the Gigantes (oven-baked giant beans) which were a surprising standout. Our server said that her husband is a vegetarian and eats those as his meal. With some crusty bread? Sign me up! With time to kill before our show, and still a bit of room in our tummies, we opted to also share some dessert. Proven trustworthy with her appetizer and main dish suggestions, we asked our server what her favorite desserts were and she said, "I have 5." Yes, their dessert menu is lengthy enough that 5 is only a portion of the list. We went with two of them-- one hot, the Galaktoboureko (custard in filo) and one cold, the Pagoto Baklava (Baklava ice cream). I'm already plotting a return to try more of their menu.

We loved the Combo appetizer plate which came with generous portions of 9 different items. I loved everything ! I'm an eggplant lover and two of the dips were eggplant based . My new favorite dip is the Mercimek Kofte which is a red lentil based chunky dip ; I would've guessed garbanzo bean based dip. The Haydari dip was also super addictive, a thick creamy dip made of kefir cheese and Greek yogurt. So many delicious but gut healthy items of the combo plate; which comes with thin lavash bread. Also loved the red lentil soup, which was warming on a rainy day. I thought it was flavorful without being overly spiced or too thick. My husband enjoyed the lamb kebabs.
