I remember back then as I always woke up early in the morning, I had plenty of time to walk around to buy my own breakfast before going to school. Bao Dim Sin Seng used to be in another location, much bigger and much more crowded. It was located next to the roadside so you would expect the crowd. What I liked the most was how cheap the buns were. As a student before, I did not have that much of allowance to go crazy on the food; and I hated those chips or fries at the tuck shop. Therefore, this place offered me a healthier choice where I could get a bowl of steamed rice with chicken feet or buns with lotus paste. Nowadays it has moved inside the mall and the place is just one of those bakeries. Kind of small and seriously what you see is what you get. I am rather disappointed with this as it is nothing like what it used to be. It used to remind me of my childhood or adolescence to be exact. Now all is gone. Just like the old Tuen Mun has lost its look completely and ended up as a shopping mall for all those tourists from our great motherland. Bravo. Who knows what is going to happen next time I come back to Hong Kong.

I ordered their bacon and cheese burger with spicy fries alongside their homemade grapefruit iced tea, and I must say that I was pleased with what they gave me. While the burger looked a bit smaller than I hoped, I can't really complain seeing as this is a rather snazzy cafe, and I was ordering off their tea set menu which was HK$48 with the drink included. Furthermore, they had a very tender beef patty which was fragrant, but not overly beefy, and it was nice to see a place that used real cheddar on their burgers instead of velveta. I'd appreciate more than a single slice of bacon, but again I can't really complain considering the price. The burger comes with cajun fries as standard, and that was really nice too. The fries themselves were crispy, and they were also very well-seasoned. The grapefruit tea is cold, slightly sweet and you could really taste the grapefruit zest, which was a very nice plus. I might try a tea set with a cake instead the next time I come around. Staff are okay, but wow do they offer excellent value here.
