This place is way too good for it to be so far away. I'm from SF where El farlito and Guad are notorious for burritos, but this place? I'd drive the hour and half to get here. I've never had a burrito that was the right amount of soft, chewy, and everything in between. It's sooo tasteful with every bite. I only asked they removed the salsa (sorry, just don't like tomatoes) but Omg the perfect blend or carne asada, not try at all!!!! Rice, beans, cilantro, and onions - chefs kiss, by far the best burrito I've ever had. For a good $8 I got a regular and $1.50 extra for sour cream on the side. I had to open it up because I thought I got a SUPER size burrito. Huge and so flavorful with every bite. I had to open it up HALFWAY cause it was just way too big to finish whole/ in one sitting. Thankfully I'm here often because the first time, I got tacos. Really good, nothing extra crazy. It's the burrito that took me tf out! Can't wait to try everything else. The lady at the counter was nice, and it's a pretty big place. The food wasn't bad, but wasn't anything beyond not bad. Nachos were store bought chips it seemed like, too much lettuce, like a salad of iceberg on top. Neither my super burrito or my daughters wet burrito got sour cream, which I asked for and paid for. The wet burrito was really big though if that's what your going for, way bigger than the normal burritos. My wife's taco salad was probably the best thing we had. I love La Costa! I am glad they have a location by where I live as well. I always feel welcomed tended to. The salsa bar is amazing, I highly recommend the limes and avocado salsa verde. That salsa is to die for and I put it on everything. It's not spicy just tangy so it screams out amazing to my anti spice taste buds. My favorite item is the veggie nachos. It has lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, beans, rice, guacamole, and sour cream. This time for some reason the tomatoes tasted kind of fishy. I'm not sure if they were cut after fish or are stored in the same space and took on the taste. That wasn't very pleasant but I moved them aside and still enjoyed my tasty nachos. I'd driven by this location many times while house hunting in the spring of 2021 and it looked a like a fun place with its outdoor patio, fountains and large pelican statues ushering you in near the entrance. Looking at the menu, I finally decided to give it a try since they do offer some vegetarian items. Veggie tacos are $2.50 each so I ordered two. They were just okay-rice, beans, shredded lettuce and tomato-nothing more. Definitely not the place to go if you want a more substantial veggie filled dish. Chips are no longer complimentary ($1 for a side which isn't bad but just didn't realize it until after I ordered.) On the plus side, while the place was packed, the line moved quickly, food was done pretty fast and I enjoyed their large outdoor seating area. My lunch, however was kind of boring. Not a good place for vegetarians -and that's okay. An overall okay experience but I don't eat out too often, so not worth it to me. read more

La Costa was recommended to me by multiple people and friends from the area so I may just keep going when they are having off days but it's not for me. Service wise, this place is great. Friendly staff behind the counter and they are incredibly fast/efficient getting orders out. I think it took 5 minutes or less each time I tried this restaurant so it's definitely good for a quick bite... Although the food may take a while to eat since the portions are a good size. My issue is that the meat isn't very flavourful. Again it could be I visit on off days but it's been a couple visits so it's just not meant to be for me. My husband and I typically enjoy burritos and have tried the asada, pastor, Chile Verde and carnitas. Maybe we'll be back and try the tacos to see if it's that's but for now we'll have to get burritos somewhere else. read more

I was very glad to have stumbled onto these Taqueria, my tacos were very good. Parking is very easy although it can be very crowded. A lot of people get their order to go so even if the parking lot is full you will not have to wait long to park. They offer a good selection of simple tacos with meat, onions and cilantro. In addition they also serve a few other things like burritos. They also have Horchata. We ordered the steak tacos and the Al Pastor pork tacos. They were very good. I personally like the simple tacos similar to the ones sold in Mexico as opposed to the ones that have too many toppings. Overall it was excellent. read more

The Oakley restaurant is located in a great spot with the huge water fountain right next to them, parking is just ok and the restaurant inside is nothing special, i can't say I have ever seen the restaurant floor free of Chips or spilled salsa, I have never experienced friendly customer service or a smile or thank you from the cashiers... Felt like I got transported to Mexico when I first walked in, you know, with the ambiance and all. Line was long like at Chick-Fil-A, but it went fairly quickly. I ordered two tacos: 1 chicken, 1 beef. Each taco costs $1.99 with tax included in the price. Sadly, they don't provide free chips-- you have to pay $1.00. They also provide free mints located near the salsa section. My bf ordered a taco salad. He said it was too spicy and salty, and didn't feel good afterwards from the grease rush. Came here on recommendation from family as this Mexican restaurant is the best in their area. We came here after hiking! It was after lunch and it was still packed with people!! The restaurant itself is very big with patio table setting as well. We ordered for to-go so we can eat at home because it was busy inside. My uncle ordered their super burrito and he finished it real fast. My aunt ordered their ceviche always and loves it with their tostada shell. My cousin ordered their tacos. He ordered three different flavors. He loved them. I ordered their taco salad with pastor meat and it was a lot. I asked for less beans and more salad. They did that!
