I clarified that my dog was a service dog and that I would sit outside. After I said that, I was met with what felt like a cold response and was simply told, "ok." After I sat outside, the same server approached and said, "We don't allow dogs on the patio either." For a second time, I explained that my dog was not a pet but a service dog. The server then responded with something along the lines of, "If it really is, that's ok." At that point, I decided not to eat at the restaurant. I mentioned that refusing service to someone because of a service dog is illegal. The server responded that he did not hear me say my dog was a service dog earlier, which was confusing because we had already gone back and forth about it. A man claiming to be the owner then came out and did not seem concerned about the situation or interested in addressing the issue, only concerned about the dog.
