BREAKFAST BURRITO BONANZA!!! Order the bacon breakfast burrito!!! Coming home to Greeley, I had to have a breakfast burrito, and I think I may have spoiled myself for life. I ordered breakfast burrito of 1) chorizo 2) bacon 3) potato. Daughters, sister, and Mother all shared and sampled. 1) The chorizo breakfast burrito was full of egg, chorizo, and potato. The chorizo was very good. Great flavor, not too spicy. 2) The bacon breakfast burrito was the absolute best of the bunch. Bursting with smokey flavor from the ... bacon? I suppose. But the flavor of this burrito had it be the first one gone as we shared. 3) The potato breakfast burrito was the least favorite. The eggs were a little over cooked, which one of us couldn't get over. Possibly the flavor of the meats overshadowed this in the others. I have to admit, I also got 2 barbacoa tacos. Traditional street taco style with 2 small corn tortillas, meat, cilantro, and onions. Mama and I had them gone in seconds. Great flavor of the meat. Absolute perfect combination of flavors. A great choice, even for breakfast. :) Attached to the taqueria is also a little store with knick-knacks and pre-made foods like bread and cookies. All in all, the food was delicious. 3 out of 4 items were worth going back tomorrow. Possibly later today. :) read more

So good! The prices and quality at El Mero Mero cannot be beat. My husband and I found this place when we lived in Milliken but have since moved to Wellington. However, we still make the drive down here to get our fix! We love their tacos, breakfast burritos and red tamales. The salsa bar is also the bomb - get the dark red for a mild, savory heat. read more

It was just ok for me. I lived in South Texas for years and am probably spoiled. The Carne Asada tacos were a little on the grisly side, and tasted just ok. A little pricey for a street taco ( 4 for 6$). read more

One of my new favorites! El Mero Mero is located inside the market in the strip of stores near Harbor Freight, but don't let appearances deceive! We ordered online and picked up a couple weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, but last night we went in to take a peek at the full menu for take out. With lowered restrictions there are a couple tables to eat in at, if you're interested. We each got a platter item, which is served with generous helpings and is full of flavor. They cook everything fresh to order, and it smells amazing just standing inside! The to go orders were sincerely packed, making sure we had extra utensils, napkins, and their red and salsa verde (the red is a favorite of mine, and I enjoyed it the next morning on my eggs!) They require masks and have hand sanitizer available. Bonus is the $1 churros that my son scarfed down while we waited! Superior service, great prices, delicious food! read more

They have average food with above average prices. The cashier has horrible customer service skills if any. I think she is forced to work in the family business and is unhappy. She should probably work in the back away from customers. read more

Just discovered this gem last week, and I so wish I'd found it sooner. Best damn refried beans I've ever had, explosively hot salsa, and great prices for all that you get. Serving them fair warning, I'm gonna be a regular from here on. I can't wait to try out more of what these good folks have to offer. read more

I have now eaten here a couple of times. The food has been excellent both times. The tacos are definitely worth the visit. For about 15 cents cheaper than you can get a greasy ground beef taco at a fast food joint, you get about 3 times the amount of quality meat. The barbacoa and asada were my favorites. Just what the doctor ordered -- simple, fresh, with a great selection of salsas on the side. Note that this is bare bones -- a counter where a friendly person takes your order, and a few formica tables, all inside a small Mexican grocery store. Four delicious tacos for $5 -- couldn't be beat. Had a glass bottle of real Coke to go with it. WARNING: At this writing Yelp lists this place as being on NORTH 25th Avenue, and it is NOT! I called in 3 weeks before my party and spoke with the manager. Confirmed the details for an upcoming event called a week before the party, only to find out that we hadn't been scheduled and food wasn't ordered. Long story short even though they might have fantastic food. We will no longer recommend to anyone who is needing cratering and here is why!! Great Food and Atmosphere! I had a co-worker recommend this place to me when we were comparing favorite "street taco" places in Greeley. I finally tried it for lunch the other day and loved it. I had a bowl of Menudo (which is always the test of good Mexican food for me) and it was excellent. Full of tripe and hominy with a flavorful broth; not over the top with red chile like some places do. I also had two tripe tacos. You could have rolled me out of the place in a wheelbarrow. The Salsa bar is excellent with really good Pico de Gallo and roasted Jalapeños. Don't expect piped in Mariachi music and sombreros on the walls and the place was full of burly construction workers wolfing down tacos for lunch, but that's what makes places like this extra special. Too bad it's a 30 minute drive for me or I might eat here a couple of times a week. read more

This place is on the west end of the building that Harbor Freight is in on 10th St. in Greeley, near 23rd Ave. It's easy to miss, but a shame, since it's some of the best Mexican food in town. I've tried most of the Mexican restaurants here that are highly recommended, and this place is at least as good if not better. We had the smothered burrito, al pastor and the tamales with beans and rice, with a glass of horchata. Service is very friendly. read more
