Worst Mexican restaurant in WW or Umatilla County. Service usually bad. Food so so at best. Last time eating here was with about 10 of us, some didn't get water, some no silver ware. One person no food. Just crap here. Go elsewhere. No idea how they are still in business??? read more

Service was terrible. It's like they're irritated we're here. Took forever to take our order, but they were all over collecting the check. Won't be back. read more

WARNING: The cabbage salsa is so good (with the chips, of course) that if you are like me, you'll eat way too much! I love the taste of the food here. I've tried other Mexican restaurants in town (and there are a few), but they just don't compare. I LOVE the pork burrito tapatio (it has a green sauce on it), as it just melts in my mouth. I don't order the addition of rice and beans with the burrito, as there's rice and beans inside. When my children were young, I'd bring them here (regularly) and split the beef fajitas with my son. I'd end up eating all the veggies (mostly onions) and he'd eat all the beef. We'd love to hear the crack and snap as the pan was brought over to the table. My daughter would eat the cheese enchiladas. Now that everyone is grown up, I just eat the burrito tapatio, but it has to be the pork! I'm not sure about the other food here because I haven't deviated from my favorite for at least a decade, but no Mexican food anywhere has been able to come close to the pork burrito tapatio. Maybe it's just my taste buds, but my mouth starts watering the moment I walk in here. read more

La Casita - Fake flowers - Mexican Near Me - Walla Walla, Washington

Honestly, by far the best Mexican food in the area. I tend to try the special whenever I am here as I don't have a favorite Mexican food. Each time I eat it, I say to my wife, "Please make me order what you have every time." The special is only just OK. and I always feel that I am missing something. As my wife raves over the pork burrito tapatio with green sauce, THAT is what I need to order every time. Will I ever learn? I guess I should mention that you are served chips and two kinds of salsa while you wait for your meal, which usually doesn't take long to arrive. The cabbage salsa is my favorite as it always has a fresh flavor; however, I also like the regular red salsa as it often has a nice spicy flavor. The chips are warm and have great flavor. The servers are friendly and if you want to practice your Spanish with one of them, feel free as they will not laugh at your bad Spanish. They have wine and beer here, but I always order a Negra Modelo as it is the best beer to complement your meal. It is always served super cold with a slice of lime. Another awesome part of dining here, it won't break the bank and you will leave with a satisfied tummy! read more

We ate here with friends about a week ago and were quite disappointed. I had an enchilada & a chimichanga dinner. My husband had a burrito & taco dinner. My enchilada & chimichanga were identical! The cook didn't know how to cook them. I was very disappointed in the lack of preparation! I make enchiladas at home & what I had was not an enchilada!!!! My husband's burrito was dry with hardly any taste. We won't be going back. One of our friends had beef nachos & was happy with her meal. Our other companions didn't enjoy their meals either. Needless to say, we won't be going back. (We have been customers prior too. We have another local favorite that we will stick with. Why spend money on a play you're not happy with.) read more

Once again, I'm proud to announce, I was able to leave a 100% tip for Michael at La Casita. As I stated in the past 'I would do 100%, if I could get through a meal without one complaint from my wife'. What a wonderful time for us both, there was no wait to be seated, ordering was done promptly, food arrived quickly. Refills on drinks, salsas and chips came out right on time, without asking. Any questions about our orders came directly to us for clarification, not just someone guessing how we would like it. See, there really are people out there who care about their customers. Congratulations! read more

If you're torn by what Mexican restaurant to try out in Walla Walla, give La Casita a go. I love La Casita, and have eaten their countless times over the years. The majority of the time I call it in and pick it up, and they have never messed up an order EVER. They have a newly redone site that is simple and you can see the menu there. Lots of combo choices. The ground beef has a unique amazing flavor. Would recommend! read more

Oh God, where do I begin? We were taken to a table fairly quickly, but then... We waited for water. Waited for chips and salsa, which were not worth the wait. Waited for the waiter. Waited for the food... also not worth the wait. Waited for the waiter to tell him my food was cold. Waited for my re-cooked food. Waited for my waiter to tell him my re-heated/nuked food was "no bueno". Hot sour cream? Uh... yeah. Waited for our check. Waited for the waiter to take my meal off the tab. Waited for some sort of apology or even a smile, but got neither. My waiter is still waiting for his tip. read more

Their Chicken en Mole is the best we've ever had (we order it often). We have friends that travel all the way from Couer d'Alene just to partake in that treat! read more

Best place to get Mexican food in town! I went here after a soccer game with my whole family and we loved it! Highly recommend coming here

I ate lunch here dozens of times during my time in WW. It is perfectly acceptable tex-mex food. It is not brilliant, novel, entertaining, artful, or anything else, but just simple, good Mexican food. Expectations should reflect that. The service has always been acceptable when I've been there. I do like the chips and pico de gallo. I pretty much always got the same thing--the "vegetarian burrito tapatio." It never treated me badly. I'd happily go here again. read more

Disappointing. Firstly no real enticing baking enchilada smell when you walk in. Funky smell due to being in an antique mall a la moldy carpets... We were hoping to do a comparison to El Sombrero. Flautas. Disappointing. Chicken only in the middle. Ends over cooked. Refried beans tasteless. Rice, bleh. Guac? Seemed like oil was added to it.. Dining companions had the chili Colorado burrito. Liked the el. Sombrero version better but said it was ok. 3 stars. Tortilla soup like no other ( read, weird), even had cauliflower and broccoli in it. Broth was tasty, and the bowl was the size of a large pho, so could have fed 4 people. We didn't order drinks, maybe it would have helped! Lol Will we come back. No.. read more

Good: seated 8 of us quickly. Bad: seated us quickly because it's not, uh...busy...? Good: food was served quickly. Bad: the server couldn't remember who got what. Good: didn't cost too much. Bad: there's a reason it didn't. read more

Tasty food, friendly service, great prices, and no matter the size of the group, all are welcome!

It was okay... not bad but not anything I would crave either. I did really like their chips and pico de gallo salsa. That was Mmm mmm good. It's supposed to be Tex mex but didn't seem to have that sweet tex mex flavoring, which was fine by me. The service was good for a hole in the wall. One thing that was weird was that the table was up above my chest when I was sitting. I'd go back if I were here for a while read more

You receive quality and quantity at a reasonable price. Indoor sit-down dining and the food is served in a timely manner.

Just horrible... microwaved food, unfriendly service, dirty glasses and silverware, dirty floors and tables, overpriced and tasteless entrees.. I definitely won't be back. read more

This is the near worst Mexican Restaurants in town. My brother in law took us there today and the food was nearly inedible. Greasy tortillas poor salsas and refried beans that were marginal at best. If you want good Mexican food there are many other places. Try "Young and Pretty", my Granddaughter's name for this restaurant. Never had a bad meal there. Just a little north of La Casita on the left Taqueria Yungapeti for Mexican food as it should be. read more

The food is great, the staff friendly. The location is good too. I am stopping by there this week for take out! Budget friendly too read more

Wow! I'm so glad I didn't check the Yelp reviews before my family and I stepped in to try this place-- otherwise we might have missed out on a really nice experience! We enjoyed differing specials of the day, my husband tried the seafood fajitas and he was impressed with how perfectly cooked the shrimp was; I tried the verde enchiladas with chicken and was delighted by them! Horchata is GOOD there and served in a generous sized glass. (Horchata is important to me at Mexican restaurants; they have my stamp of approval!) The chips and salsa were served promptly after being seated and we had finished them about 5 minutes before our dishes were served up. All in all, it was a great experience and we are pleased to have a place to go when we want to eat Mexican out on the town! Good prices too. *please note* if you do decide to go, the service has been noticeably slower on Holidays (Father's Day). read more

Good Mexican fare in Walla Walla! Authentic server(who spoke broken English!) but attentive! Veggie Fajitas were quite good! My daughter went to WWU and this was her favorite Mexican place in town! read more

This is our favorite sit down Mexican restaurant in town. The pico de gallo is so good. The ambiance is unique as it feels like a 1960's coffee shop with Mariachi music playing and Mexican decor. I think they are family owned and operated. The service is always fine. The shrimp fajitas are delicious with lots of fresh grilled veggies and plenty of tasty shrimp. read more

This place was all right. The service was decent (though I hear that it *usually* takes a long time to get a large table) and the food was pretty good. La Casita left the impression of being on par with every other Mexican restaurant I've enjoyed eating at, and since I can be picky, it gets three stars. read more

To be fair, My review is late. I went here only one time... I think Ill never be back! Food was bland & aweful. The service was slow and terrible. Ill give it time and maybe... Just maybe I will try this place again. read more

We have been going to La Casita for many years, and it is our favorite Mexican Restaurant. I love the chicken enchiladas and the whole beans, and my husband loves the tacos al carbon and the arroz con pollo. I find the service to be wonderful and all the staff are friendly. read more

Been here a few times. There has been multiple times I have been that there's things floating in my water. It has to be food from other people's plates when they wash the jugs of water. Food is room temperature almost every time. Always get the same horrible waiter, never smiles, never is friendly. The whole service staff is horrible. They never seem welcoming or happy. They seem like they don't want to be there. One waitress even sighed when she saw me and my guest walk in. La Casita use to be an awesome restaurant 15 years ago. Seems like they don't care anymore. I am never going back. I don't know how this place is still in business. Seriously thinking about calling the health department about the water. Oh, and one last thing, this place is dirty. There were dirty napkins all over the floor that people were walking over and kicking around. No one actually ever picked up the napkins. read more

Every time I've ever been in there it's the same guy waiter with the same horrible attitude. He doesn't bring anything extra you ask for, and he should NOT be in customer service whatsoever. The food isn't good, go to El Sombrero. read more

Used to be decent food, good portion size, good/quick service. Wondering if management/ownership has changed in the last year? Tonight was very disappointing. Take out order - food barely warm, one order had chicken partially thawed, once home find out one order incorrect. Was expecting an some sort of apology for having to return to the restaurant etc... no apology from anyone, and was actually told that what I received WAS what I had ordered-as if I wouldn't know what I ordered. No concession that the person taking the order might have misunderstood or wasn't paying close attention. All in all, 2 of 3 dinners were a bust (chicken one inedible), even after two trips to the restaurant. Even though we've enjoyed it for 13 years, not real tempted to try again given the other options in town. Sad. read more

The food was excellent and was hot when it arrived. The prices were very reasonable and the fajita order was enough for two of us. The sangria was some of the best I've had, which surprised me. The waiter was attentive and the place was packed. It was typical mexican food...filling and tasty. I left my smart phone there by mistake and the next day (Sunday) when we arrived at the door to see if it was there...the owner met us at the door with phone in hand and a big smile. We will go back next time we are in town. read more

I have lived in San Diego for a few years so I know what the best mexican food in the world tastes like. Now I won't say that this is the best mexican food in the world, but shoot we're in Walla Walla, how can you expect it. I think for the location it is pretty good. All my food was pretty tasty. Service was pretty good but this particular night there were only 3 parties in the room so there was no excuse not to get good service. Oh the Horchata was really really good. Fresh basket of chips were brought when we finished the first and we didn't have to ask. I tried to practice my spanish with the waitress but she only answered in english. Maybe because I'm of chinese ethnicity. You ever notice that some mexicans appreciate it when you attempt the spanish with them while some will get a look on their face like as soon as they walk away from you they are going to find your car and slash the tires. Not trying to talk trash about anyone, I'm just noticing this. read more

1 star is an over statement! Gave them a second chance because we were told it's good...it's not. Rude service, half of our orders were wrong and server refused to fix the order. What we got were soggy flavorless ground beef tacos and cold beans and rice. We ordered shredded beef tacos when we asked the server why they weren't shredded beef he stated," We don't have shredded beef." I said,"that's weird I got the shredded beef last time?" He said "It's called picodillo." But, he did not offer to fix the order, so my wife said she did not want hers, he took it away and another lady deliver 2 new tacos she said she did not want them because of how rude the server was. She returned to the kitchen and started talking about my wife. My son and I each ate 1 of our 3 tacos and they were so bad we didn't eat anything else. My wife and I have over 15 years experience in the restaurant business I personally have worked every position in a restaurant starting as a dish washer when I was 15 years old. I have A high tolerance and realize some people can just be having a bad day, but this is the second time he has served us and been rude. Last time I took my normal approach and tipped 25% hoping to brighten his day, but I guess I was rewarding bad behavior. Today was the first time in my life I did not leave a tip. I would be ashamed to own this business with the employees they have working there. We could hear them talking about us in the kitchen. Because we are white, they assumed we cannot speak Spanish ( my son and I do) . Rude, racist, and bad food! Don't ever eat here go across the street or anywhere else. read more

Someone told me this was their favorite Mexican food restaurant so I tried it. It was not good! I had chili rellenos. Now this is supposed to be an anaheim chili stuffed with cheese and then coated with a light fluffy egg mixture and then deep fried. This was horrid. It tasted like they had wrapped the chili in fried egg. The margarita was sub-par. I am not sure they put any alcohol in it! I will not go back here. read more

Sure, I've had better food but this was good, affordable, quickly served by friendly staff, in a quiet atmosphere. Will I go back? I'll likely try other establishments first but I'm not crossing this off the list. read more
