If you go, I suggest showing up on a Saturday around 7:30-8am, that's when i showed up and the fresh batch of bread was coming out. I am writing this review as I eat my delicious concha, I couldn't wait! BEST concha I've had in the area. It was so soft and moist in the inside but a small crunch on the bottom edges 5/5 I also ordered a FRESH orange juice, that was made while I was there and it was sooooo good! 5/5 (They also offer fresh carrot and beet juice) They also have things like sandia loca, fruta picada (fresh chopped fruit), corn, duros preparados! I was looking for pan dulce and was recommended to try this bakery. I was glad it was a local spot. Trying to support local in/out of SIP. I purchased a chocolate tres leches cake for my husband. I went to different places and called 3 other places and nobody would make it and said it is not available or they needed a week to 2 weeks notice. I finally called this place and they said they could do it but I needed to make the order in person and do it as soon as possible since I was only giving them 3 days. The cake turned out perfect! My pregnancy craving has been pretty consistent lately. Fruit with chamoy and tahin. There's a Mexican fruit stand near my house that I usually visit daily. But he wasn't there today. I looked online until I found this place. It's really close to home and they have what I need. So off I went to explore. There was a slight language barrier as I do not speak Spanish and the girl at the counter did not speak English. Fortunately there were pictures of the fruit on the wall for me to point too. They have all kinds of fun fruit stuffed with more fruit. I ordered a fruit cup add chamoy and tahin. I paid 5.50. It was delicious. I like the fruit here. Very good. read more

The lady working and helping us out, she spoke only Spanish and a little English and with certain things we ordered she showed us before putting them on our food and made she we wanted them on there! We got a cup Elote hands down the BEST I have ever had and I am pregnant and craving these, i've had many different places around Bay Area and this was by far the best 10/10. Was nice to see she cut the corn in front of us too! We also got a Crazy Cucumber and it was DELICIOUS!! Really enjoyed the fruit. I got the crazy watermelon and it was so good. Fruit was very fresh and nothing was precut besides the cucumber and jicama I believe. We saw her cut the watermelon and mango and it was delicious. I don't speak Spanish very well but the cashier who mainly spoke Spanish was very kind and got my order right. Going to this place is a hit-and-miss thing. I love Mexican sweet bread and I tried their "puerquitos", which happens to be my favorite bread. The first time I had it was great, one of the best tasting I'd had in a long time. It reminded me of the ones I had back in Mexico. It was tasty and crunchy, and good. Last night I went back for another one. I noticed them a little over baked, even burnt (the top part was black). But, I thought to myself that the flavor would be good, I bought it anyway. Bad decision. It was burnt alright, but also it also lacked any flavor. It was missing that "puerquito" flavor that I love. I would bet that the baker forgot to add one or a couple ingredients. I would have never known about this place if the assistant at my chiropractor's office didn't tell me about it. It is a hole in the wall next to 7-Eleven and if you don't know it's there, you're likely to miss it every time. The place is tiny and totally authentic Mexican. Not being Mexican, I didn't recognize anything other than their flan. Surprisingly extensive freshly baked goods for such a little bakery. They even had what looked exactly like those chocolate Hostess cupcakes, except on steroids. Plastered on the walls are photos of desserts and drinks, which is a good thing because all I had to do was point. I had the crazy pineapple, which is like a fruit salad served in a hollowed-out pineapple shell. But it's Mexican style so it's also got nuts and some tamarind-like gummy candy, slathered in red chamoy sauce. There was too much sauce for my taste but otherwise, it was great. I grew up on tamarind and their tamarind candy is addictive. They also make smoothies and biancos and a bunch of other interesting goodies. We always come to this place for the mangoniada or the fruta fresca or the corn con mayonnaise that's so good, but today we had a bad experience because of an employee who might have been a manager or the owner. My husband bought pan And my corn. He comes back to the car and hands me my corn. I open it and immediately knew there was something wrong. I saw that 1. It's not mixed, 2, the corn was hot plus the mayo was on it, from past experiences is not good to put mayo on hot things or in general hot mayo is not good, 3 there was WAYY TOO MUCH MAYO! I still have it a chance mixed everything together and then saw that it was way too much I tried it and it left a bad taste in my mouth. So greasy! My husband went back and told them if maybe they had cream to replace mayo unfortunately they didn't so the one who made it went to talk to someone else and asked what happened then the manager or owner was so rude and said "what do you want us to do!?" with attitude! So unprofessional! So sad that they have such good products but horrible people working! To have a business the customer comes first and you have to make them happy! If the corn wouldve been done right there wouldn't be an issue. Well let's just say the rude lady said it was the normal amount of mayo, my husband argued back that no he just saw another one made for someone else and they didn't put as much! Long story short we ended up swapping the corn with two cupcakes, even then the lady was like "you still have to pay the difference though!" Of course we were going to pay the difference ! Fell in love with this little gem,it reminds me so much of the paleterias you find all over LA. They had all of my favorite snacks and beverages. This has turned into my go to spot,Sabrina is super sweet and always so polite and friendly when I drop in. I recommend the tostilocos with a mangoñada the perfect summer treat combo. This spot makes the best flan in the known world. I bought a small container once and went ga ga. Now it's my go to place for pot luck desert. Walk in with flan and the place goes wild.
