Normally the food is ok and the service is good, however, not this time. While I love to try and hear Spanish, the waiter was spending so much time trying to be cute he totally messed up our orders. The steak was excellent and it had a terrific sauce on it. The rice and beans were good too. We also ordered queso with the chips. It was good. I took off a star because the chips aren't the best. They're relatively thick. And, I honestly don't know if they're homemade or not. I would say they're a bit below average versus the typical thin, crispy tortilla chips you find at a local Mexican restaurant. The place has a lot of drink specials too. And, I like that the menu is a blend of old favorites and new twists, like street tacos. Price is what you would expect - about $10-$15 per person for dinner. We will definitely be back. read more

We used to love coming here. But the last three visits have showed that they just don't have it anymore. Went for lunch with my son and service sucked. The server was hardly around, asked me less than 20 seconds after our plates were delivered if we needed anything. At that time I hadn't even had a chance to check everything over. That's when our server just disappeared. I waited for over 10 minutes to ask for limes and drink refills and finally had to find a manager and asked for another server. The manager brought the server to my table and she was so rude and replied " I asked you if you needed anything!!". This was about 15 minutes after we had gotten our food that she was brought back to our table. She was incredibly rude and ruined the whole meal experience. I'm not sure when or IF we will be back. Food prices are outrageous right now and it's not worth paying that much to have such terrible service. This is a covid Era review. Came in around 8pm on a Sunday, sat outside as Illinois requires it. Overall service was pretty lackluster, there was a lot of waiting for drinks, ordering food and then trying to get the check and waiting for him to come over and grab the credit card. One star because there's no stars for zero. I've been here before and forgot to rate it last time. So my complaint is they charge an extra 2.5% to use everyday currency like a credit card. I'm quite aware of the charges that credit card companies charge to use their services but to charge me more than everyone else is called discrimination in the eyes of the government and if more people would object by not patronizing them we can push these kind of businesses out of business. If they want to cover their surcharges then raise their prices across the board. It's just the cost of business but to discriminate against some people is not the way to run it. Never eating here again! There were two customers inside when we sat down upon arrival. Five mins had past before a server walked our way but even then he asked the couple who had just walked in what they wanted to drink. Daniel the server, walked over and asked my party what we wanted to drink after bringing the couple who had just walked in their drinks. Secondly, the server then asked them their order again before us. Third, our food was brought out after the order of the other couple had their food. Our food was tasteless by the way! Lastly, when we received our receipt the server had charged us full price for the three margaritas that were order during "Happy Our" as shown in the attached picture. On top everything he charged us for chicken, steak and shrimp fajitas, even though I ordered chicken and shrimp only. He sent the manager over who walked me over to the same board we took a picture of and erased it. I was in awe! Then said " This is not correct and that a worker added the drink as advertisement". So , I asked "Is it the customer fault for false advertisement"! I was so livid that he could tell because he said " Well you pay what you want and don't come back no more"!
