We ended up sitting at a high top near the bar. Which no complaints. Husband was able to watch some of the soccer games. Our service was good. She essentially on top of making sure we were doing good. Staff would check in to see how things were. I had the black windows margarita. ( one of my faves I had before) but instead of my usual food. ( which i bounce between enchiladas or fajitas) i went with their burrito colorado. Husband tried their house burrito. He's normally a chimichanga guy. I enjoyed mine. This has become our go-to Mexican restaurant. The entrees are excellent and the salsa is amazing. Last time, I had the fajita burrito. It was as long as the plate and amazing. The steak was excellent and it had a terrific sauce on it. The rice and beans were good too. We also ordered queso with the chips. It was good. I took off a star because the chips aren't the best. They're relatively thick. And, I honestly don't know if they're homemade or not. I would say they're a bit below average versus the typical thin, crispy tortilla chips you find at a local Mexican restaurant. The place has a lot of drink specials too. And, I like that the menu is a blend of old favorites and new twists, like street tacos. Price is what you would expect - about $10-$15 per person for dinner. We will definitely be back. read more

This is a covid Era review. Came in around 8pm on a Sunday, sat outside as Illinois requires it. Overall service was pretty lackluster, there was a lot of waiting for drinks, ordering food and then trying to get the check and waiting for him to come over and grab the credit card. The reason for the 4 stars is because the food is pretty good and honestly I had the burrito off the a La carte menu and that $5.25 burrito was enough to fill me up. We used to love coming here. But the last three visits have showed that they just don't have it anymore. Went for lunch with my son and service sucked. The server was hardly around, asked me less than 20 seconds after our plates were delivered if we needed anything. At that time I hadn't even had a chance to check everything over. The manager brought the server to my table and she was so rude and replied " I asked you if you needed anything!!". One star because there's no stars for zero. I've been here before and forgot to rate it last time. So my complaint is they charge an extra 2.5% to use everyday currency like a credit card. I'm quite aware of the charges that credit card companies charge to use their services but to charge me more than everyone else is called discrimination in the eyes of the government and if more people would object by not patronizing them we can push these kind of businesses out of business. If they want to cover their surcharges then raise their prices across the board. It's just the cost of business but to discriminate against some people is not the way to run it. However, we love this place because the food is delicious (definitely recommend street tacos arrachera and pollo poblano). I'll admit, this is still a classic American Mexican dinner place, not the most authentic Mexican you can find. However, as I mentioned, this is our go to place in OFallon, IL. You could literally fill up on them easily. Our server came soon after the chips were served to take our lunch order. I had the vegetable bowl which was delicious. My friend had a taco and tamales. It came with rice and beans. The portions were a good size and economical. After lunch we sat there awhile to visit which was nice to just catch up with my friend in a quiet corner.
