Very reasonably priced food and tasty! We tried the Schnitzel and Burger and they were both good.

Great steak good fries but the salad was a miniature replica of a salad. It's a good place for lunch.

We visited midweek without a reservation and were able to get seated right away. We sat inside at a table, although there were seats available outside. The decor and atmosphere are interesting and fun. Prices are in line with what I would expect for Tapas. Service was very quick and friendly. We settled on 5 tapas between 2 people. Portions were pretty big for tapas. I think my favorite was the Patatas Bravas (home-fry type potatoes with a spicy tomato-y sauce). Dátiles con Bacon (dates wrapped in bacon) were probably my second favorite but everything I had here was delicious and I would recommend Castillo.

The server admitted it was frozen out of a bag, just reheated. Gross. He recommended the calamari "next time". We also had the Iberian ham, which came out looking like someone had hacked it with a steak knife. Tasted fine, but wtf, I doubt it was the real product. Service was fine, ambiance is cute, but the place is Spanish in name only, don't be fooled. There won't be a next time. Place is a tourist trap. Good for a quick drink and then move on.

Argentinian steakhouse in Amsterdam done really well! Who would have thought that?…read more The meats are super tender, super fresh, and super delicious. The soup and sausages I had as a side are also very good. One thing I can appreciate is that the staff knows what they are talking about. Take their suggestions and never look back, even if the bill gets up there in price. You will thank me later.

I watched the guy pull the Jack bottle from the shelf and pour the drink. One jigger. 3/4 full. If you're gonna use a jigger and charge me full price, pour to the top. But I digress. That wasn't the issue. I am a whiskey/bourbon drinker. I know my whiskeys, bourbons and the family. This was ABSOULTELY scotch. In Amsterdam, the Jack, the Jim Beam, Makers, and Bullet are far more expensive because they are imported. This was definitely scotch in a Jack bottle. No Doubt. none. Zero. My wife's drink was also a less than full jigger. So we paid full price for two terrible drinks and a Tiramasu that was once frozen but had been defrosted. Snarky service, bad drinks, supermarket dessert. I'm not a complainer, and I didn't complain. Perhaps I should have. But overall, if you check out my Yelp profile, I love to praise service, food and ambiance, but this place sucked away my will to live. Avoid it.

May 5, 2017 Thursday - 7 PM for dinner 4 adults…read more Atmosphere - 5 stars Food - 5 stars Service - 5 stars s Background - Seems the city is filled with Argentinian steak houses. I think were actually walking to another one that found on Yelp but end up here. Atmosphere - A great steakhouse feel with an open kitchen. They even had some of the uncooked meats on display. I loved how the backs of booths used cowhides, the fur not leather, for the backs. Food Drink - Wieckse, witbier quest to try different beers continues. Dinner - You guessed in steak. Ancho was what they called it but I was more familiar with the American cut name, Ribeye. Loved the seasoning on the meat. Cooked to order, medium, and they nailed it. I just watched a cooking show and the person was able to cut his steak with a spoon. I did not have a spoon so I tried the back of my knife, and it cut it. Dessert - The four of us split the Citreontaart, Lemon Pie. I am not rating them on this dessert as I am not a big fan of this pie but I will try anything once. Even to see if I like a item now. The group was not pleased with the slice. Service - Our waitress was great. We asked all kinds of questions and she was very pleasant about. We even asked who was in the picture behind the cashier station. We found out it was the queen. Future - Yes.

Friendly service. Great Food! Small seating arrangement though. A decent selection of wine and…read morecocktails. Steak was perfectly cooked. Mine came with a sauce that I particularly wasn't a fan of but i can see how some people may like it. It was refreshing.

The place is very cosy, and greets you in a very familiar atmosphere. The dishis are mostly argentinian, but I think everybody can find something to enjoy on the menu. I was really struggling to decide myself if it was a 4 or 5 stars experience, but in the end I decided for the last... Whay should it have been only a for: - the weekly menu is oy exposed in the window at the entrance, but not on the menu - we were served from 3 different people. Even if two of them were perfect, and one not quite, it was hard to decide on the tip, not knowing who to leave it to. - the portions were small, so we left with hunger, although, the price was adjusted to the size. - but fromfar the most annoying thing, the drinks were not on the list. That is how, a friend paid 6,50€ for 0,5 Heineken. NOT COOL. Why shod it be, and is a 5 star: - the food was really really tasty. - the estetic and serving just perfect - the waiters were tidy and friendly (2 of them) - the place cosy and nice - good and appropriate music

In particular, we went there with our 2 kids (4 and 2 year olds). From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming, loving towards our children, easy going about noise / spills. We felt relaxed and happy throughout the meal. Alex was the best waiter we had on the trip. He made the whole experience wonderful. Would definitely go again - in fact we almost went twice in the same week / trip.

Seriously, does nobody just decide they are going somewhere? With live music being played with a guitar and some drums...it really helped set the scene. A special was 50 Euro for 2 people and you get two appetizers (Carpaccio or Shrimp), two entrees (Steak or Fish) and an entire bottle of wine (you pick red or white). The apps were very good (we had one of each), the steak was good, and the wine was also good. The value was great and really couldn't be beat. The service was very nice as well. We sat close to the kitchen and watched everything just go smoothly. The chef seemed to like what he was doing and the servers seemed happy as well. That may seem like a little thing, but it really adds to the experience. I can't say we will seek out this restaurant again, but if you are in the area and need a spot to eat, this is pretty decent!
